Butler is such a gem, especially if you're gluten-free and still want a really elevated café experience. They have solid GF options, which isn't always easy to find, and everything feels thoughtfully done rather than like an afterthought. The coffee is honestly one of the highlights. Their homemade vanilla syrup is amazing! The vibe is nice too. It's a great spot to bring your laptop or meet a friend, That said, it is a pretty small space, so it can feel a little tight and fills up quickly. had breakfast before stopping here so we wanted something light because all of their desserts looked incredible/very tempting so my sis got an iced coffee, I got a hot chocolate, and we split a mixed berry yogurt muffin. they have a really unique selection of pastries (like a white chocolate passionfruit cookie and sticky date muffin) and breakfast (like an herb chili scone or breakfast empanada) that i'd 100% come back to try if in the area. The menu, lunch included, is way different than most coffee shops which sets them apart. Really spacious, too. We were able to spend an hour relaxing and working on a junk journal spread while chatting. Grabbed some waters to go but didn't realize until I paid that they were glass Saratoga bottles which wasn't ideal to carry in the cold weather so I wish they'd offer a recyclable cardboard option or similar. My friend and i stumbled upon this cafe after going to brunch. The staff are very warm and welcoming and the interior was super cute! My favorite part is when you bite into the oatmeal and you feel oat smush between your teeth. Either is a great option. Coffee though... was mid. I tried the Tumeric and my wife tried a latte but it didn't have that wow effect. The food and pastries is whats good here. It's overwhelming to even think or consider coming here with a dog or stroller .. it happens and in the winter it gets overwhelmingly jammed like an l train that is going express to union square at 8:45. It is understandable due to the array of fresh pastries coming out of the oven. The people are very hard working and just norms determined to grab their bevies and baked goods . The hanging/ceiling plants are just amazing. I want to literally transport the whole thing to my place. My only thing was the fact to just get a couple of coffees and breakfast pastries was like $25. And tbh, we were starving right after that and truthfully bummed out at how non wowed we were. Nothing flavor explosive was happening. I just wasn't impressed. Wish the experience and food matched. Great food, great coffee, great location. This place is such a Williamsburg gem. The service is pretty fast and it's right by Domino Park. They have a walk up window if you want to grab your order and go, and they also have tables inside. (You don't get waited on though -- you order and then they call your name when your order is ready.) the service is really friendly and quick! As far as the food - The avocado toast is one of the best I've ever had! The pistachios that they put on it add a really nice touch. The breakfast sandwich with truffle is also really yummy and just brings the "classic" breakfast sandwich up a notch. They have have DELICIOUS pastries -- the olive oil muffin is my guilty pleasure! This place is also great if you just want a small bite. They have a lot of small things to share, like breakfast empanadas and granola bowls. Perfect spot if you want to grab a bite quickly before heading over to domino park. My office is a block away, and this spot is one of my and my team's most frequented, whether it be for a coffee meeting, lunch, or an afternoon pick me up. My team describes this place as a concept.
