The owner of this business has been dishonest with my fiancé and me, and based on other reviews,…read morewe're not alone in this experience. My fiancé's truck has been at this shop for over three weeks. Throughout this time, Joe (the owner) repeatedly gave us false timelines: "We're waiting on a part, it'll be here Friday," followed by "There's another part we're waiting on, it'll be here early next week." After three weeks of these excuses, I would have respected honesty about scheduling delays instead of being misled. When my fiancé called Joe twice, both calls went straight to voicemail. Interestingly, when I called immediately after, it rang normally. This suggests he may have blocked my fiancé's number to avoid confrontation. Since Joe wouldn't answer calls, my fiancé visited the shop in person. Joe wasn't there, but the store manager was visibly frustrated. He revealed that Joe had told him my fiancé was "understanding" and wouldn't come in angry. The manager admitted this situation happens frequently, and he's always left to handle upset customers after Joe makes promises he doesn't keep. Here's the reality: After 3.5 weeks, only a diagnostic test has been completed. No parts were ever ordered, and no realistic completion date was provided. The truck has been sitting in the same parking spot for over a week. As someone whose father owns a business, I understand that mistakes happen, and as a business you fix them. However, this wasn't about mistakes--it was about deliberate dishonesty and unprofessional conduct. No business should lie to customers or pretend work is being done when it isn't. This experience has been a complete waste of time and shows a disturbing pattern of how this business operates.

PREDATORY PRICING!!…read more Asked for a quote to do a spark plug insert. They called, and initially tried to sell a new or reman head, not recommending the FACTORY Ford fix. I personally did the repair on the cylinder necessary, but followed up with asking for a quote to fix the rest. Was quoted almost double the dealer fix, with stipulations that I provide the parts and sealants necessary. STAY AWAY!!! Half the phone call was telling me not to trust other people in the Clarksville area because they're incompetent. I think homie needs to look in the mirror if he thinks he can charge almost double without providing anything but labor. Got a quote from a different mobile mechanic in Clarksville (with good reviews) to do a preventative insert repair for the remaining 7 cylinders for less than the cost of one single cylinder from Free Agent. I rarely post a review, but felt it necessary to warn anyone considering this company. Would give zero stars if I could. Edit: to address this laughable attempt to save face, going to respond point by point. 1. dealerships absolutely guarantee their work. Part of the reason to consider the dealer instead of some idiot mobile mechanic. 2. Your pricing is predatory bc you spent almost 20 minutes on the phone call telling me not to trust anyone else. Someone scared of losing their only vehicle may fall for this trap, it's unethical and a terrible business tactic. 3. Yes you work in the elements like anyone else who CHOOSES to do so. You can't charge more for having to deal with weather. Let alone not bringing tools, parts, sealants, anything but your hands. I did the job outside in the weather perfectly fine, no one is giving me any accolades for doing so. 4. Mobile mechanics have always charged less, that's the draw to use you instead of dealers. 5. Suggesting / insisting on a new head may give more assurance that the repair is solid, but is not necessary without attempting an insert, as that is THE FACTORY FIX. If you are too incompetent to do the job, just admit that. 6. To call yourself the Ferrari of mobile mechanics with one yelp review (probably from a family member or friend) is the best joke I've heard all year.

Highly recommend. Very knowledgeable and thorough! Usually responds immediately and will come to…read moreyou if needed.

I recently relocated to Florence from where I've lived my entire life with my diesels. I've had a…read moregroup of excellent providers I've found over the years that my friends and I all use. I'm too far away from those shops and mechanics now to use, and literally within 12 hours of arriving to Florence, my truck wouldn't start. This was discovered after 2 blow outs on my dually and 1 on my gooseneck horse trailer en route at 8 pm on a Weds. I finally got into town; the next am was able to locate 2 perfect tires for my dually. Dropped the truck, got a ride to check on my animals, had just sat down to eat lunch 11 hours after arrival and tire shop calls to say my truck won't start. Part of the work to prepare for the move was installing an extra heavy duty power master starter. Next thing during inspection for moving prep, I was told the flywheel needed to be replaced. I know now this particular starter, although correct, was not the thing to do as simply not enough space. All shops back home who would normally be able to do couldn't as in temp locations with lifts too small thanks to tornadoes less than year earlier destroying all their actual shops. I was finally able to locate one place about an hour away, but they were backed up to where past my moving date. One of longtime shops said it would make it to AL. Literally, it did ~ maybe 10 mi over TN line and additional 3 mi to tire shop before not starting anymore. Of course it was smack dab in everyone's way at the tire shop ~ didn't even know wrecker service in area. Started calling diesel mechanics and trans shops doing ? #1 if capable of doing flywheel and #2 when could do it. Every shop was min of 3 wks out before could even get my truck into ~ simply not an option ~ had just moved here, had multiple trailers as my workers had been bringing things here, and was solo as our closing had been pushed back. Basically transient in trailer's living quarters. Any day without truck meant being absolutely stranded and unable to do what needed to be done with xl truck. After 3 hrs of phone calls, thought I was up a creek. I found one place who would be able to have brought to them, but week+ before it would be complete. By grace of the universe stumbled across contact info for owner of Mechanic on Wheels LLC ~ Corey Worrall. He was super nice giving me hope as said could have it done by Tues (now end of day on Thurs) ~ miracle as could survive shortened time without truck. Located wrecker service prior to speaking to them, and was able to get them to redirect my drop off location to the actual physical shop for Corey and Mechanic on Wheels LLC. The truck was dropped by 430, and Corey had called me with his initial thoughts shortly after. Fri morning received was told flywheel actually looked ok and issue appeared to be giant starter had put on it back home just weeks earlier (maybe started 10 times since installation). I agreed to putting stock sized but heavy duty starter on to see if flywheel had been damaged too badly by power master. Thankfully it had not. On Fri expected completion had changed from Tues to Mon. But received a call on Sun letting saying had worked on over weekend in order to get it back to me due to my situation. It was back in my hands by 7 pm Sun evening. Simply no words as to how shocked and appreciative I was for them doing so as being stranded even 4 days was living nightmare. If ride share had been available where gooseneck was at, wouldn't have been so detrimental. But wasn't and I had no way to get around or even get to a rental. Were even so kind to get back to me due to my circumstances. Best part of all is work done was amazing ~ more than just swapping starter out. Did diagnostics truck so if anything else was an issue could be done even though thought all was good from move prep work done. There were other little things to do, but all were things able to be done within a week and safely could wait until got another car or person down here with me so not stranded again. Pricing was right on point for what normally would've paid. Heavy duty normal sized starter put on came with lifetime warranty but also with yr labor guarantee. I'm quite thankful all other more established older shops had been booked out so far as wouldn't have run across Mechanics on Wheels LLC and Corey Worrall had I been able to get into one of them. Been week since truck was finished, haven't done ton of driving until 2 days ago, but had huge smile as racing down road as running best it had in years like how it was when got it new. I am definitely going to be referring them to anyone coming thru area needing a mobile mechanic, but also to everyone needing a normal shop too. They do work on gas engines also so glad found someone to meet all needs in area even though wish wasn't due to craziness went thru. Wouldn't hesitate at all to have them work on anything ever; I hope they have a long future of being a super successful physical shop too.
