Had vacuum leak. Was told on phone $100 to test it. Then when dropped off truck girl told me $130. Charged me $210 for diagnosis. Told her I'm not happy I got 3 different quotes. She said she can change the papers wording if I liked. What would that change other than a few wirds. Didn't call to say anything till she told me had to replace multiple vacuum lines. Then told me it was $329 now. What they didn't know is I sprayed all my vacuum lines with flex seal last Friday. They replaced 2 hoses that were barely 9 inches long. I will be putting them in blast and taking them to court for the additional charge for diagnosis. read more

My wife swears by these guys so 5 stars for her. Vehicle inspections, oil changes, and repairs she is extremely happy. My experience has been different but the last trip here was the final one fir me. T Old I needed new brakes by Big O but wanted to get another opinion. Todds told me the brakes had 30% left on the brakes but I had broken strut mounts. Unhappy with Big O and trusted Todds. Had the struts done and the brakes as well. They noticed my wipers were shot so they charged me for new ones, only problem is the wipers were not put on the car. Struts have a grinding sound coming from the left side. Took it back and was told everything was fine, 3 mechanics drove it and no noise. Low speed turning left you can hear the noise but they couldn't hear it. Brakes are fine but but you do not get 5 stars missing 2 out of 3 Items. read more

As my wife was returning to Georgia from visiting a friend in the hospital in Illinois, her 2003 Chevy van started having a blinking check engine light. She stopped for the night in Murfreesboro, TN. A visit to AutoZone first thing in the morning confirmed it was a 0030 code indicating random misfiring. The first three Auto repair shops I called in Murfreesboro were unable to help as they were booked up with work for anywhere from two days to two weeks. Finally, I reached Todd's Complete Auto Care. I took my '73 El Camino in to have the carb tuned and breaks worked on. I was very impressed! They did exactly what I asked and took great care of my baby. Runs better than it ever has now! As an added bonus, the man at the front treated me with the same respect I'm sure he gives to every customer. As a woman, I really appreciated this. They were very honest and didn't try to upsell me on any other repairs. The price was also very fair. Just a tip, if you have a classic, you need to make an appointment a few weeks out. My car started running rough right after I got gas. I thought I may have gotten some bad gasoline, but a week later it still sounded bad. I drove fine, but it idled much less smoothly than normal. We asked on social media where we should take the car and several people said Todd's. We dropped it off and waited and were contacted a few days later saying that they had found the issue and the repair would cost $750... ouch. Okay; it is what it is. A day or two later we get a call saying that the issue was actually much worse and the repair would be $7,500. We couldn't do that, so we agreed to pick it up and pay for the work they had already done. When our care was returned it ran SO much worse and we paid hundreds of dollars. I knew it wasn't fixed, but I at least expected it to run like when we had dropped it off. A high quote for repair, then an astronomical increase in the quote price, and then to have our car thrown back together so that it ran like trash, and still to get charged the hundreds of dollars? I have absolutely no confidence in Todd's competence or credibility. I'd just as soon hire off of Craigslist. read more

Are there honest, high quality mechanics left in this world? Yes. Yes there are. Todd's is one of them. I've had my car there twice, as has my son. In every instance Todd's has had our cars ready for us either the same day, or the next day. That's important to us since both of us live in Murfreesboro but work in Nashville. Not only is Todd's quick on the repair they have after hours drop off AND you can pay for the repair over the phone and pick up the car after hours! No joke!! I almost cried when I learned they'd do this. Nobody else that I've come across offers this service. Thanks to Todd's after hours service I don't have to miss work to get my car fixed. But the main reason we keep going back is their honesty. All of our repirs have been relatively minor but they were things that other mechanics could've gouged us on. For example, I replaced my alternator. I've never done it before so I didn't know much about it. The day after the repair the battery light on my car started coming on. I took it to Todd's to find oit what I'd done wrong. They could've told me all kinds of things and charged me for all kinds of repairs. Instead, they found a pinched wire, made an adjustment and charged me a slight fee. That was my first experience with them & I thought I was dreaming. I usually don't write reviews unless the business is really good or really bad so on that note I recently had 2 experiences with Todd's complete auto care. The first experience was to get my truck looked at for failing emissions at the testing center. So I did my research and shopped around and being that I drive an 88 Chevy k 5 it needed an Obd check and everyone recommended Todd's complete auto care so I called and spoke to mark and he was very honest and confident in fixing my problem before he even looked at it and quoted me $160 for the repair. When I went to pick it up he had only charged me $140 which was a shock, most places try and upcharge you. It passed by the way. My second experience I spoke to Todd which was a very nice guy that worked with me on the payment adjustment for a water pump and radiator. Warning: Avoid Todd's. No integrity, no accountability and no urgency or consideration for your inconvenience or expense. My experience has been a continuing nightmare. Brought my vehicle to them for a check engine light to pass emissions testing. Diagnosed problem as a defective PCM (computer). Took one week to diagnose and receive $790 replacement part (paid in advance). Part arrived and did not work. Mgr Bill reported it was sent back to distributor and after an additional week, still no replacement. During this time I have mounting rental car fees and racing against expiring tags due to emissions. I call Mgr Bill at Todd's to cancel the job. I order the part myself and install it. Part I ordered myself was overnighted and a five minute, four plug snap-in install resolved my problem (The part was bought new off Ebay, programmed and guaranteed a return for full refund if not satisfied. And for half the price of Todd's parts charge). Todd's, despite never receiving the part before I cancelled it, has refused to refund my $790 claiming it's a custom part that cannot be reused (This is a patently false claim. And inconsequential to begin with since the part sent was defective and I never received a replacement before canceling). They ultimately received the replacement a week after I performed the repair myself. I have offered to resolve this dispute by paying the diagnostic fee when I'm refunded for the part. Which I agree was an accurate and a legit charge. They have not responded in any way but to tell me they won't issue my refund until they receive their refund from this obviously unprincipled parts supplier. It has been one month since my request for a refund. I have been as reasonable and patient as I think anyone could be expected. As I stated they have no sense of urgency or regard for my inconvenience or rectifying this dispute. I initially went to Todd's based on good reviews. Obviously something has changed. Zero stars rating. This saga over a simple check engine light began Sept 22, 2019 and as of today, Nov 8 2019, remains unresolved and will now continue on through small claims court. read more
