We stumbled in. It is an Irish pub with live music. So far tonight with pop American music well done. The service may be a little slow, but they will come to you. Unlike England and France, which we just left, you do not need to do bar ordering or remember your table number. Also, all good Yelpers check in first. Yelp Is not popular in Ireland yet. We were staying at he hotel so it was convenient to eat there particularly with Covid restrictions requiring restaurants to close at 8pm except for hotel guests. They were having some difficulties getting used to how to manage that as normally were open late with live music. I think they were trying to do the best they could but some confusion on getting service. We ate there twice for dinner and had our Christmas dinner there. They required that you showed vaccine card and signed the contact tracing document the first time. Waiters were wearing masks. I had the fish and chips which was very good. The portion was large. Fish was cooked well. Chips were good. One had the macaroni and buttered carrots which were very good. The Christmas dinner was especially nice with several choices for appetizers and entree. I was exhausted after a long day tourist-ing and this was the first place I found with a decently broad menu and no wait to get in. I got the fish and chips which were good and pretty standard. This place is attached to the Temple Bar hotel. We ate inside the bar since it's quieter but if you like noise you can eat outside. They have a special deal Thursdays on mixed drinks. It's a fun place, and a good deal- almost impossible to find in Temple Bar. If you stay at the hotel they will give you a coupon on food at the bar. My aunt loved this place. It was definitely an ok place to sit on the patio, drink, and people watch. They had tons of fun mixed drink options. I highly recommend the pineapple express. They also had Guinness and Harp (aunt likes Harp and surprisingly many places didn't have it on tap). I also had a lovely shandy. Servers were great! They definitely made a positive difference in the total experience. There's also live music every evening and Irish dancing. Food was pretty good. I enjoyed the mac-n-cheese and the fish & chips. Detractors: Prices on mixed drinks are high. When you sit outside you will be approached by numerous homeless people begging for change. They come right up to each table and can get nasty when they don't get what they want. Drunk guy dropped to the sidewalk and started kicking the divider after I had to forcefully ask him to leave. People next to us were spat on when they wouldn't give a woman a cigarette. Inside is probably the better choice, but it was so sunny and beautiful on our visit that we braved the patio. read more

Buskers sign says they have live music 7 nights a week and from what we could tell tonight, the singer was the best of all the bars we went in. He was very fun and took requests from today and Golden Oldies. The bar is also quite nice, with unique decor. Modern with some cool details like vintage posters plastered to the ceiling. Only down point is a single shot of Kahlua (measured) is 5.65 euros, or almost 8$ USD. Might see ya there! read more

I usually find Temple Bar and bit too touristy and Buskers seems to be aimed at the young touristy crowd. The bar itself is very stylish with exposed brick walls and admittedly the chairs are very comfortable as well. There is a lot of room, so it's a good place for a group of people and they do seem to have a lot of events organized. The drinks are good and they have an extensive cocktail menu for 9 quid each. But there doesn't seem to be a lot of an atmosphere here and I always prefer a place, which is a bit more traditionally pub-y. read more

It had the feel of a tacky nightclub about it, although this may have been due to the 20 strong stag-do who were absolutely obliterated at 4pm on a Friday. This was a great bar for the best music on Tuesday night bar far, even over the famous Temoke Bar. My only downside was the hours posted are wrong. It said 1:30 each night my husband and I went which was a Monday night and Tuesday night and tgey closed at 12 midnight each night. Which ruined it for us because we would order a beer thinking we had time to drink it only to be rushed out saying its closing time. I will add... The were really nice about it .. But still annoys mg that we had to drink it down or leave it. I chose to leave it because it was Guiness which is very thick and filling not to mention not meant to drink fast . Ah buskers, we stumbled across you on our first night in Dublin and stumbled out again as fast as we could. In short Buskers is alright, it's not great but it's not bad, it just wasn't for us. We had passed earlier in the day and went back seeing that there was meant to be live music on however found none, possible because of the football, but we still weren't disappointed enough to ask. Its a nice bar, very much a tourist bar and it seemed to be full of men of all ages starting there nights out, or watching the football. I'd pop in at the start of a night out or a pub crawl but Buskers is not somewere I'd choose to stay in all night. read more

This is one of the worst places I have been to in a long time. Shit service, shit food, and terrible music. After we were seated we waited about 20 minutes without any sort of interaction with any wait staff. After I asked the host if any waiter would be coming, he said that he "didn't realize we wanted anything"... well how would you know if nobody has come to talk to us? After that the waiter had to be flagged down multiple times as he kept forgetting to return. A different host creeped on me the whole time, standing 2 tables away and staring me down like meat. I got the mac and cheese and my mother got a wrap. Mac and cheese is pretty hard to screw up, cheese is good on its own and pasta is good on its own. But some how this place managed to ruin mac and cheese. Completely flavorless. Same with the wrap. Boiled veggies with no sauce or seasoning... wtf. read more

This bar is a scum institution. My friends and I went to Dublin for St. Patrick's day which I understand is a crazy weekend to operate in Temple Bar but that was not the problem. Buskers actually did a great job serving a rowdy crowd on St. Patrick's day. HOWEVER, we returned the next day because our college's basketball team was playing a postseason game. We knew it would be hard to find a place to watch so we asked Buskers early in the day if they would play the game and they said yes, they would stream it. So we stayed here for about five hours, spending money and waiting for the game to start. Five minutes into the game, they turned the TV they told us would be playing our game to a rugby trophy ceremony. We gave them hundreds of dollars because of a promise they made to us which was promptly broken. I heard it was because we were too rowdy but never got an explanation myself. Very scummy. read more

The band is called Shamrog and they were amazing. About the cocktail though i am not very happy. However I enjoyed a good pint of Guinness regardless of the cocktails. Not a place to go to if you want to experience traditional Ireland and their pubs. They do have live music often so I'm sure that draws a good crowd at night for some fun. It is a lounge atmosphere. I didn't like the Buskers. I tried their club part with some friends as a consolation prize. We regretted right away. The music isn't so great though the area downstairs (club part) is big enough to dance and everything but really wasn't our style. You need to go upstairs and out to get a chance to smoke in the cold with no heater. I did not appreciate our fellow customers as well, ver different than the other places. It's in Temple Bar so very touristic, the people seem not to care too much about their surroundings and fellow dancers. I'd never get back. read more

Buskers is a good spot for a Saturday night if you are in the mood to party. it is loud, and the music is pumping, it's the type of place you would go for a birthday night out and lots of hen parties frequent the place week after week..it's the place they go to...so, it's that kind of place. I used to go there week after week myself and loved it...on the ground floor is a bar with a small dance floor which always has a few foreign guys by the side of the dance floor trying to get in on the action ! A lot of nice Irish guys go there too though, so it's not just foreign guys. As I was saying, it's a great place for hen parties and stag parties too. A fun place. Some may recommend this as a place for stag/hen parties and other such scummy behaviour. I beg to differ. I avoid this place like the plague after 8 pm and wouldn't be seen dead on a weekend - but the rest of the time it exerts some bizarre attraction that I can't quite figure out. It's uncomfortable, the drinks are horrendously overpriced and the bouncers as rude as they come - yet I adore it. If it's afternoon time and you are wandering around the city, stuck for somewhere to have a quiet, undisturbed pint, Buskers wins out everytime. It's always deserted, so there is no problem picking the seat of your choice. The design is completely unlike anywhere else in Dublin and that is exactly what I like about it. Walk inside, sit in one of the booths on the left hand side opposite the bar, under a skylight and you feel like you are on holiday. No matter what time of year it is, it feels like summer. And the booths are so nicely private, that nobody else is going to intrude on your holiday reverie and point out that you are in fact not on the Costa del Sol. It's a weirdie one indeed, but it's a guaranteed escape from the outside world. It's only lost points because it's recently been refurbished and lost some of it's charm. read more
