Although its not quite as popular as it once was the Odeon is still a great pub. Its location and setting still its best feature. Situated in the Old harcourt street railway building the place is huge. You have to feel sorry for the bar staff as well sometimes the main bar is at least 50 feet long. The Odeon's size makes it ideal for groups and means it never feels too packed even on the busy weekend nights. The downside to this is that when its not too busy it can feel a bit empty and cavernous. The beer terrace outside it a nice touch. This has to be one of the best located places public transport wise, the LUAS stops right outside the place. At the weekend its open until half 2 and to the left of the main room has a dance floor so you can throw shapes all night long. The upstairs bar is usually available for birthdays and events and they serve food 7 days a week.

Very nice place for an after work or a drink with collegues, a lot of space and tables and large choice of drinks (even wine, which is still rare in Dublin ehehe) I heard that the food is very good as well, i only tried the "sides" If you work here around, you should definitely organize an after work there!

The venue was a train station long time ago, it creates a huge space that the pub owner (s?) has decorated with big pictures and many sized tables. It is a good place to go as group, with the option to make a reservation. In summer the bbq smokes weekends to ensure that you can enjoy your afterwork with a beer and and burger made on fire. During the week it is easy to see company night outs, meet ups or just friends going out together. Close to some clubs to dance after the beer and the dinner.

This place was a regular haunt when I worked in the area. The chicken wings are awesome! They are pretty much the only ones I want to eat in Dublin. The furniture is comfy, but there can be a bit of a shortage on space when it's very busy, even when you reserve. Outside the smoking area is long and narrow, logistics of walking though there are a bit of a drawback. Service has really improved recently. Had a coupe of bad experiences with staff over the past few years (wrong bills, super slow, scowling) but happy to say that seems to be a thing of be past. The table service has really improved too. You don't have to run to the and every time you need something anymore.

Dropped in here for dinner with my wife a few weeks back. I've always knew it to be a trendy bar and that has not changed at all. It seems a little dark when you first enter. When your eyes adjust you will be amazed at how big it is inside. A great place for a large group to meet for drinks. They have a good food menu with all the usual pub suspects on it. I went for the beef burger, not bad at all, it comes with chips and a few dips. Burger was cooked well and was tasty. My wife had a pasta dish, mushroom, chicken and chorizo. It was tasty but possibly the portion size was too big. Not a bad complaint if your starving I suppose. :-) The service was prompt and friendly. We weren't waiting long for our food. My one gripe would be the quality of the Guinness. I had to send back my pint after tasting it. The waiter exchanged it without question however the replacement pint wasn't that much better TBH. I'd head back again for food or after work drinks.

Went today for lunch with my work team, starters were very tasty, enjoyed my salmon and mocha afterwards, very trendy place, come back again:)

Very central, just right at the green Luas line, for me it's super convenient as I work literally across the road. One day went there with colleagues, enjoyed my meal, nice atmosphere:) Love the style and interior, very trendy place! Perfect for a quick bite / for a special dinner. Highly recommend:)

Odeon is a big spacious club with lots of things going on. You can chill on the terrace and see trains passing by, you can go dance inside, you can have a romantic date here (crazy sexy lightening), you can have a barbecue here (7 euros) in a barbecue lounge, and you can watch a movie here. Like, seriously, the whole package. I like the place.

We visited twice, and the first time was on a Wednesday night. They were able to accommodate us mid-week without a reservation, but Friday night we made one to come back. There were gobs of people waiting to get in so we're glad we did! The entrance is very non-descript. It's an ugly grey metal door with VCC randomly applied, so if you didn't know what was there it would look industrial. There is a door bell to the left of the door. Ring it a few times and someone will open the door and check you in. With reservations they do make you wait until exactly that time so don't be alarmed. Your table is already selected for you. The inside is loungy and very swanky. Both times we had extremely comfortable chairs. Service is immaculate. Their menu is massive, very well published and explained. Our servers were both able to explain exactly what the cocktail may taste like as some of the combos might blow your mind. I had the Dirty Wizard which sounds odd on based on ingredients but was delicious. I also had the Purple Pearl which was my perfect cocktail. My husband tried a few different whiskey concoctions and he was impressed by all of them. I highly recommend adding VCC to your Dublin itinerary!

It feels a bit weird writing a public review of a secret spot...but I can't gatekeep this spot!…read more The Blind Pig Speakeasy was one of our favorite spots while in Ireland, and it ranks high on our list for several reasons! They are situated in the base of a sister restaurant, so from the main entrance the only give away is the neon "shhh" sign that sits over the stairway. Once at the base of the stairs an unassuming bookcase/shelf appears. This honestly got us, as we had no clue this was the entrance at first. We wandered around and into the bathrooms expecting some cool bathroom stall entrance. It wasn't until someone came out from behind the bookcase that we figured it out! We did let the "door" close and played with the art on the wall, including the bronze pig head, which turned out to be the hidden lever! Legit already wowed before entering! Upon entry, you are legit transported into a small speakeasy with a few high tops, a cozy bar and a small dining room beyond the second archway. The walls are stone, the lighting is dim and moody, the woods are heavy, and the vibes are immaculate! We sampled a few house-made cocktails, got an appetizer and a few main dishes. Spent a total of close to 2 hours, which is standard and actually timed. Which makes sense and I like, it keeps things moving, on time and allows plenty of time to soak it all in! The Jolly Roger and Espresso Martini were my cocktails for the night. There was a clear theme with both, as stout and espresso were highlights in both. For the app, we went with the fritto misto, which is a combination of fried cheese and veggies. Our mains were both pasta dishes. They were light and simple, yet complex and robust. They were tasty and impressive! Service was stellar from entry to exit. The host's, bartenders and our server were all top notch, friendly, helpful and a joy to interact with! Oh, I do highly recommend reservations! They are a small and very in demand spot, so trying to walk-in is a bit risky. Overall, we absolutely loved our evening at The Blind Pig! This is going to be controversial, but I swear, this is what I saw for real. Not kidding, not exaggerating. For real. We are sitting to the side of the main bar. A bartender is pouring bottled water into a bottle of Jameson. Another employee came over and is talking to her while she is doing this. She 'squishes' the empty bottle, making that crushed plastic sound, before throwing it into the trash. Then she puts the pour spout back on top of the Jameson bottle and walks back into the main bar area. O.M.G. Really? Why me?! It is at this point I think to look at the Yelp reviews. Whoa. I have no idea that anyone in here has a clue of this fact, but now that it has been pointed out, it is so very clear. We left just as fast as we could. I will never return.

When we returned, the host remembered us & remembered that we prefer to sit at the bar. They showed us to our reserved spots - at the bar! We first admired the interior. Underground! Somehow low-lit, archaic, well-lit, & modern, all at the same time. Lively but not noisy pop music was playing - Dua Lipa, etc. The actual physical menu was so cool. It was a beautifully designed picture-book inspired menu, with each cocktail having its own separate & artful page. I'm looking back on the menu & I think the drink I ordered was "Fight Club" (Don Julio Blanco, mango, Falernum, camomile, lemon, & sugar) & it was phenomenal. The bartender scorched a hot pepper & carefully placed it on top, which MADE the drink. He also made my partner a Paper Plane with Scotch. Delicious. Speaking of the bartender, he was a real champion. Such a nice guy with a bit of flair to his style of bartending. We really enjoyed chit chatting with him.
