A friend of ours recommended dining at Cafe en Seine on our trip to Ireland. We stopped in here for dinner on our last night in Dublin. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food! First off, the appetizers and soup were delicious. I went with the French Onion and my wife had the White Onion and Parmesan soup. They were outstanding! We went with the traditional fish & chips for entrees which was delicious. If you're in Dublin searching for a restaurant, make a reservation and give it a try!

Beautifully decorated restaurant with some tasty brunch options (among other things). I'll start with the environment since that is the most notable thing here. It is an aesthetic blend of traditional and modern decor, with a nice outdoor patio seating area in addition to the indoor dining area. It doesn't look that big from the outside, but it's actually quite a large space with lots of seating available. It's not too loud inside and actually has somewhat chill vibes despite the grand appearance. As for the food, I came for brunch and ordered the crab brioche roll (21 EUR). The crab meat was very tasty and the brioche was soft and generously buttered. That being said, the portion size was kind of small for the price. I also tried the truffle baked eggs (15 EUR), which came in a hot skillet and were tasty as well, albeit not particularly memorable. The staff are average friendliness and I thought they could've been a bit more attentive. The service speed is okay. Overall, it is definitely the nice environment that sets Cafe en Seine apart from the rest of the pack. With the good food as well, I am giving it a solid 4 stars.

Nice pub with a few different scenes that you can enjoy the drinks and comfortable seats. Modern and clean.

We had an absolutely unreal dining experience at Cafe en Seine. We enjoyed our meal so much, the food was all delicious. But above all we appreciated the staff who was so lovely to our little toddler. The manager, the front desk staff all the servers were so nice to us and helped us out. Our server Isabele was honestly so amazing. We definitely would come back here if we get the chance to visit Dublin again.

This was my favorite dinner that we had while in Dublin! I travelled with a group of girls and we appreciated that this restaurant had fresh salads and plates to take a break from the typical gastropubs. Loved the food. And best of all, they had a beautiful bar with good wines and excellent old fashioneds. We'll definitely back on our next Dublin visit!

This place is gorgeous! I came here only for drinks. The bartender was super friendly and made my friend and I custom drinks to our liking. The drinks were fantastic. This place is massive, it's just fun walking around the whole area.

Cafe En Seine is such a lovely restaurant you MUST put this spot on your brunch/lunch itinerary when in Dublin. And pro tip: make a reservation! We tried to walk in twice and we're turned away for reservations, so by the second day we were smart and had finally made a reservation and were seated no problem. This spot gets busy and booked for good reason. The decor and ambiance of this restaurant is really so cute. Depending where you get seated you get a totally different feel. We sat inside but close to the patio and it was lovely, covered from the hot sun but cozy and relaxing the little high top booth we were given. The outdoor seating is really the prettiest spot to dine. Trust me and you'll see yourself, super cute and outdoor bar as well. Service was a little hit and miss to be honest. We waited awhile for our order to be taken but other then that they got on top of it for the rest of the meal. I think it's luck of who you get as a server. The couple next to us waited at least 15 minutes for their check but then our waitress was different from their table and we got it right away. I would prefer consistency when giving 5 stars BUT the food and atmosphere really made up for my one little negative observation. The menu has a good variety. Something for everyone. The dish I wish I would have gotten were the mussels in the butter broth. I can tell you they smelled amazing and most tables had them. What I did have and LOVED was the French dip sandwich. It was heavenly. Super rare and delicious how I asked for it/like it. The bread was uber soft and fresh. And the au jus + horseradish sauce made this meal a 10/10. We asked a local where one of his favorite restaurants was in Dublin and he quickly said this spot so we had to come and so happy we did. He urged us that the cocktails were frilly & delicious, paired with a solid meal. He was spot on and you have to try this restaurant when your in town.

A breath of fresh air in Dublin, Cafe en Seine is a beautifully decorated, airy space with a convenient location near the city center. There was plenty of seating in the restaurant and indoor courtyard, and even the bathrooms were nicely decorated. For such upscale decor and food presentation, I was pleasantly surprised that the prices were pretty affordable still. I got the Hash Brown Eggs Royale which were a delicious combination of lox, eggs and hollandaise sauce atop a hash brown. The service was also pretty friendly, but the ambiance and food are what made this a 5 star experience.

Adorable cocktail bar in Dublin with really nice cocktails. The ambiance is really what makes this place so special - they have a beautiful indoor and outdoor bar with lots of seating. Definitely stop by here for a drink at least!

Stopped in to get out of the cold and enjoy some apps and drinks. Great beautiful atmosphere with plenty of seating and a covered open space. The service was reasonable but a little hit or miss when it started to pick up. Plenty of delicious food and tasty drinks that made an amazing impression on my trip!

They were able to accommodate us mid-week without a reservation, but Friday night we made one to come back. There were gobs of people waiting to get in so we're glad we did! The entrance is very non-descript. It's an ugly grey metal door with VCC randomly applied, so if you didn't know what was there it would look industrial. There is a door bell to the left of the door. Ring it a few times and someone will open the door and check you in. With reservations they do make you wait until exactly that time so don't be alarmed. Your table is already selected for you. The inside is loungy and very swanky. Both times we had extremely comfortable chairs. Service is immaculate. Their menu is massive, very well published and explained. Our servers were both able to explain exactly what the cocktail may taste like as some of the combos might blow your mind. I had the Dirty Wizard which sounds odd on based on ingredients but was delicious. I also had the Purple Pearl which was my perfect cocktail. My husband tried a few different whiskey concoctions and he was impressed by all of them. I highly recommend adding VCC to your Dublin itinerary!

It feels a bit weird writing a public review of a secret spot...but I can't gatekeep this spot!…read more The Blind Pig Speakeasy was one of our favorite spots while in Ireland, and it ranks high on our list for several reasons! They are situated in the base of a sister restaurant, so from the main entrance the only give away is the neon "shhh" sign that sits over the stairway. Once at the base of the stairs an unassuming bookcase/shelf appears. This honestly got us, as we had no clue this was the entrance at first. We wandered around and into the bathrooms expecting some cool bathroom stall entrance. It wasn't until someone came out from behind the bookcase that we figured it out! We did let the "door" close and played with the art on the wall, including the bronze pig head, which turned out to be the hidden lever! Legit already wowed before entering! Upon entry, you are legit transported into a small speakeasy with a few high tops, a cozy bar and a small dining room beyond the second archway. The walls are stone, the lighting is dim and moody, the woods are heavy, and the vibes are immaculate! We sampled a few house-made cocktails, got an appetizer and a few main dishes. Spent a total of close to 2 hours, which is standard and actually timed. Which makes sense and I like, it keeps things moving, on time and allows plenty of time to soak it all in! The Jolly Roger and Espresso Martini were my cocktails for the night. There was a clear theme with both, as stout and espresso were highlights in both. For the app, we went with the fritto misto, which is a combination of fried cheese and veggies. Our mains were both pasta dishes. They were light and simple, yet complex and robust. They were tasty and impressive! Service was stellar from entry to exit. The host's, bartenders and our server were all top notch, friendly, helpful and a joy to interact with! Oh, I do highly recommend reservations! They are a small and very in demand spot, so trying to walk-in is a bit risky. Overall, we absolutely loved our evening at The Blind Pig! We walk around the corner and see a crowd of people out front. Ask the doorman if we can pop in for a drink. After a quick look over we get the A-OK to enter. This is going to be controversial, but I swear, this is what I saw for real. Not kidding, not exaggerating. For real. We are sitting to the side of the main bar. A bartender is pouring bottled water into a bottle of Jameson. Another employee came over and is talking to her while she is doing this. She 'squishes' the empty bottle, making that crushed plastic sound, before throwing it into the trash. Then she puts the pour spout back on top of the Jameson bottle and walks back into the main bar area. O.M.G. Really? Why me?! It is at this point I think to look at the Yelp reviews. Whoa. First thing I see is to the effect of 'my white friends got in, but not me'. Second thing I see is 'Asians not allowed'. Holy mackerel! I have no idea that anyone in here has a clue of this fact, but now that it has been pointed out, it is so very clear. We left just as fast as we could. I will never return.

Girls if you want to score a chick this also is the place for you but in a very Sex & The City hook up kinda way, that is they will be straight again the next morning. Somehow low-lit, archaic, well-lit, & modern, all at the same time. Lively but not noisy pop music was playing - Dua Lipa, etc. The actual physical menu was so cool. It was a beautifully designed picture-book inspired menu, with each cocktail having its own separate & artful page. I'm looking back on the menu & I think the drink I ordered was "Fight Club" (Don Julio Blanco, mango, Falernum, camomile, lemon, & sugar) & it was phenomenal. The bartender scorched a hot pepper & carefully placed it on top, which MADE the drink. He also made my partner a Paper Plane with Scotch. Delicious. Speaking of the bartender, he was a real champion. Such a nice guy with a bit of flair to his style of bartending. We really enjoyed chit chatting with him. There is a fireplace and vintage furniture, makes for a great atmosphere when you want a quiet drink, though it can get pretty loud because it's often full. They do have a nice selection of drinks though it's not as huge as some bars, but it's a nice place for a Port or Whiskey. I am a little put off by the staff, but it depends on who's there. Alright I think I'm mixing up the Library Bar with Sherlock Holmes, sprinkled with bits of the Darling Buds of May. Let's tone it back a tad. My only complaint (besides not loving my food) is that perhaps it might be just a teeensy bit too quiet? Like perhaps some barely audible background music might be nice?
