Great entertainment bar with live music and fantastic decorations year around from the outside to the inside. This place is a well known and the landmark of Dublin for sure. If you ask which bar to go for fun, this would be on the top 3 in the city. The bar is huge comparing to other bars in the area. They have their own restaurant within and a souvenir store next to it. Plus there is to go store a block down. This place alway packed and most of time, there is a line to get in for the restaurant side. But the decor inside and outside (especially at night) when all the lights are lite up, it just magical and fantastic to look at or to be inside and be a part of it. Didn't try the foods but drinks are great. Services are good if you can catch them since they are busy running around. Overall, good time.

Is it touristy and expensive? Of course! But it was still fun. I paid €12 for my harp beer and my friend paid €15 for her Irish coffee, but you're paying for the atmosphere. It was so lively on a Monday night! And they had fun live music and people were just having a good time. I think it's worth going at least once.

Everyone must stop in at Temple bar when in Dublin. That includes me. We drank an overpriced pint of Guinness and soaked up the atmosphere. Loved all of it.

Packed, busy, fun bar. If you're here, you're in the middle of the action! The place is huge with multiple rooms and multiple seating areas. We were in a small room just to the right of one of the bars. There was live music in a different area. A tv screen and the speakers streamed it to us. I only give the place three stars because it's extremely overpriced. 12euros for one beer on tap? Pretty outrageous. Please note that the bathrooms are downstairs and the stairs are narrow and steep. Don't get too drunk before you have to pee.

During my vacation research for visiting Dublin, Ireland Temple Bar is the top of everyone's list. It's the Original Temple Bar and it's one of the biggest. They have live music and plenty of choices of beer. We definitely split the 'G' here and had a blast. I'm giving Temple Bar, 4 stars because it's honestly really packed and to get a drink, there is a long wait.

Can't leave Dublin without walking thru the Temple Bar District and hitting the iconic Temple Bar. Like most of these bars, it gets packed, so go early. This Irish duo hit the stage at around 9pm. Lots of fun and good clappin' and stompin' music! Large crowds so be prepared.

Visited the infamous Temple Bar on a Tuesday night and the vibes were amazing! We were lucky to find a table while music was playing live, made friends with several people, and just had a wonderful time. A Dublin must!

We had to stop in for a least one drink while in Dublin. The place is so pretty decorated for Christmas and the live music is amazing. BUT it was so packed we couldn't even move. You couldn't get a drink to see the music so it wasn't worth it to stay long. Overall you have to stop for one but we had more fun at other places on our trip.

TRULY a tourist trap (and not worth visiting in my opinion). I would recommend seeing the building from the outside (gorgeous christmas decor), but it is ALWAYS packed inside and there really isn't that much space. Plus the beer/ cocktails are overpriced and you would be better off going to a more local pub where you can actually sit down and not have drunk people spilling their drinks all over you

Albeit a bit touristy, this is a must stop in the temple bar area. The OG temple bar. Very fun and lively, always a crowd with good music and vibes. The drinks and service are standard. It can definitely get crowded at times with long waits, but not shocking. Worth seeing if you're ever in Dublin!

This was the first pub we went to and I won't be coming back. Just a warning, it is EXTREMELY crowded. There is live music in the back but the room is so tiny that you are crammed. There were many very drunk people pushing each other and you will probably get a drink or two spilled on you. The outside was very beautiful as the pub is Christmas themed, however, this pub is very touristy and I'm sure there are better pubs to go to in Dublin.

It's most definitely a tourist bar which would normally only garner 3 stars from me, but the music was genuinely good, which I really appreciate. So I bumped it up to 4 stars. Because who doesn't go to Ireland and want to hear I'll Tell Me Ma / The Belle of Belfast City 500 times? LOL. So grab a pint and a listen and then explore the area a bit more.

The iconic Temple Bar! The most lively bar in the area with incredible beers on tap. The food and service was top notch in the area with some of the best live music on the strip. Although it's crowded, it makes for the perfect Dublin experience. Drink beer, enjoy local grub and respect, appreciate and sing along to the local entertainment.

Tucked down Dame Court just off Dame Street, The Stag's Head is one of those rare pubs that feels genuinely historic rather than designed to look old. The building dates to the late 1800s, and the interior retains the ornate features of a classic Victorian "gin palace"--rich carved wood, stained glass, brass rails, and a warm, glowing bar that feels wonderfully preserved. We stopped in around 4:30 pm, which turned out to be a perfect time to visit. There were other patrons enjoying drinks and food, but the atmosphere was calm and relaxed rather than loud or rowdy. It felt like the kind of place where locals drop in for a quiet pint on their way home from work before the evening crowd arrives. The staff were excellent--friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. The food was very good (we failed to take photos because we were too busy enjoying it). As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to see the Impossible burger front and center on their menu; it was deliciously prepared with guacamole on a brioche bun, and not an afterthought on the menu. My companions both chose the Irish Beef Burger, and said it was excellent. One thing to know: this is a traditional Victorian pub, so cocktails aren't really part of the program. Expect beer, wine, or spirits rather than mixed drinks. In a place like this, that actually feels exactly right. Other pubs do serve mixed drinks. Between the history, the ambience, the quality of the food, and the wonderful staff, The Stag's Head is the kind of place that makes you feel like you've experienced a real piece of Dublin.

The Wind Jammer is the type of early house that caters to shift workers and Gardaí from Pearse St coming off the night shift. Apart from a few couples the morning after the Trinity Ball, they wouldn't let in too many post-club revellers. The door is closed most early mornings, and they have a CCTV camera to give ya a good hard scrutinising before they'll let you in. The only time I was there for early pints, there was only one other group of young lads there and the barman looked like he was about to stop serving them. During the rest of the day and night, the Wind Jammer is a quiet pub frequented mainly by old, grumpy locals, who would sooner bite your head off than ask you the time of day. If you're really desperate for a drink and can't make it til half ten when the rest of the pubs open, by all means go to The Wind Jammer. Otherwise, there isn't that much else to recommend to it.
