Daniel is BEYOND amazing. I've never seen anyone who just 'gets' dogs the way he does. It's obvious that he has immense compassion and respect for them, and they reciprocate. He's incredibly dedicated, professional and easy to deal with. My dog Ginger always comes back from a day with him happy and exhausted. Before moving to the area, we employed another dog walker/sitter service. I was a big fan, but I was always a little irrationally anxious that something might happen while she was in their care. Not so with Daniel - I honestly couldn't have ever imagined trusting a one-time stranger with my dog the way I trust Daniel. Which is, completely. While my dog is fairly well adjusted, Daniel is also clearly adept at dealing with challenging dogs. Even while walking a large pack, he makes sure every dog gets exactly the attention and structure they need. I often see him at the dog park, and if there's ever an issue brewing between two dogs he's there in a flash, defusing the situation with a calm authority. I'm a pretty neurotic and anxious person with a very fluctuating schedule, so having someone that I can trust completely with my dog takes a load of stress off my mind. I met Daniel in the neighborhood after adopting Jesse and he offered me some great first-time dog owner tips. Daniel is amazing! He is trustworthy and really loves dogs. I have been working with Daniel with training my dog Tamago. My dog has had some behavioral issues but Daniel has and is still working on them with me and of course Tamago. I have seen great improvements with everything from walking Tamago on the street as well as his whole demeanor. I was really worried for a little bit that I wouldn't be able to train my dog properly but since working with Daniel there is hope and a light at the end of the tunnel. Daniel does not try to control my dog with dominance aka by being the alpha male. He understands that every dog he works with has different personalities. Daniel tailors his training sessions with regards to that dogs specific needs. I highly recommend Daniel for dog walking, dog training and dog boarding. I have used Daniel for all three and I have no complaints. My pup Hana and I have been coming to the dog park since it started getting warm. We met Daniel, who's like the dog whisper only way cooler facial hair. We hadn't needed a walker, but I've seen him walk 8 dogs at once, with totally different personalities, no trouble at all. He's calm and cool with dogs, can read them well and all that jazz, but most important they all seem to love and respect him. With everyone in my household overseas, I had a 2 day work trip. Daniel was easy to get a hold of, answered my "worried parent" texts, assuring me she was fine and I knew she was. I had another work trip, this time for 4 days. I didn't text as much, I knew Hana would be in great hands with someone who loves dogs and actually cares, not just someone who's out for a buck. Daniel was training and walking our dog Buckley, and he was amazing! It's very obvious that Daniel cares a lot about dogs, and cares a lot about helping them live their best life. I felt like he really paid attention to her personality, needs, and just put his whole heart into his work with her. When we first started working with him, he came over for a meet and greet, which lasted at least an hour, where he offered some great training tips, walked with us to see what she was like, and helped us strategized about ways to move forward-- and it was totally free of charge! Daniel is incredible!! I have two older dogs that can be difficult at times, but Daniel is always happy to take care of them whenever I need it. After spending time with Daniel, they always come back to me relaxed, happy, and better behaved! Daniel usually provides weekly dog walks for my dogs, but a few months ago, I needed to keep the dogs out of my apartment during the day while I was at work. Daniel has been walking my dog for the past few months. He is amazing with her. She loves him and is always so excited to se him. When I was looking for a dog walker in the neighborhood, I was very careful about who I picked. Since it can be uncomfortable to give a key to someone. But I consistently saw Daniel around the neighborhood walking tons of different dogs. He always had some an easy going, and calming personality. So I knew he would be the right choice. And he did not disappoint. He walks my dog and several of my friends dogs. He is easy to get ahold of and very accommodating if my schedule happens to change. Bushwick k9 is amazing! Daniel has been a god send and has made my life with a new puppy a breeze, if you are in Bushwick you gotta check him out. We've been using his services for about a year now, he has trained my pup from 8 weeks old and now walks and board him when needed. In addition he gave us print of the cutest head shots we could have hoped for! I've had dogs all my life and have used many trainers before, but Daniel just seems to know everything about your dog within seconds and made training super fun and easy -he's given us a lot of information and homework and we got through basic obedience in 2 & 1/2 weeks - all of my previous trainers stretched things out for as long as they could, I'd guess for an extra buck. read more

I have seen him, time and again, work miracles with stray dogs, and dogs with behavioral issues. Daniel is the man! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my super sensitive and skittish runaway dog Lilly besides him. Her background story is that she was found in a box at 4 months old in West Baltimore to be sold as a bait dog :( To this day she is still scared around most people and especially men but not Daniel. He has a kind soul that dogs can sense and truly cares about their well being. Words cannot describe how grateful I am to Daniel. This time last year I was overwhelmed with a new puppy (Odie) who seemed to jump and attack anything and everyone in sight. Daniel is a uniquely talented dog trainer and handler. He's kind but firm with dogs and I've seen him handle dogs with all kinds of aggressive behaviors. After having a pretty dismal experience at Empire of the Dog, he really helped our dog (and, probably just as much us!) overcome some early leash anxiety/aggression after we adopted him. His dog walking and care service is excellent. He's reliable, honest and the dog always comes back well exercised, chill, happy and clean. I have been using Bushwick K9 for almost a year now and love it. Daniel and his team are true dog lovers and it shows. They are familiar with each individual dog's sensitivities and idiosyncrasies and always work hard to accommodate or suit their needs. I saw a very distinct difference in my pup's behavior after spending only a few days a week with Daniel. Daniel is extremely knowledgeable about all things relating to dog behavior. His services are also extremely flexible. I do not have a clear schedule, but I just give Daniel less than a day's notice and he is able to accommodate. My pup absolutely loves spending time with Daniel and whatever pack he has for the day.
