It was Christmas Eve at 4PM when we walked in and were greeted right away by a very polite young lady. We gave our order and went to get our drinks. We took a seat at one of the many tables and it was a little dirty but my wife wiped it so, no biggie. The same young lady then brought us our food and politely asked if we needed anything and my wife asked for hot sauce, she hurried away and came back with a handful of hot sauce! Looking at the chicken I was worried cause it was a light color but when we took our first bite my tenders were juicy and crispy! I asked my wife and she said her drum was juicy and crispy as well! I also ordered fries which were crispy and soft in the center! My wife got some mashed taters which weren't great it was like like a block of potato but with the gravy she tore them up! we also ordered some corn bites and they were crispy and tasty, and I got a apple pie, which was awesome! It was my wife's first time and she was pleasantly surprised and quite happy with her meal although she'd probably skip the taters again! We'll def be back when we are in the mood for some fried chicken! BTW the gravy is the BEST!

    Chicken strip meal

Ordered a 4 piece strip meal with mashed potatoes and a 6 piece strip meal with fries. We got dry bottom of the basket chicken strip pieces and some leftover fries tossed into the box that didn't order fries. No working number listed so couldn't even call to ask for a remake we don't live near by but were willing to bring the food back to get the actual chicken strips we paid for. Waste of money and this is what we were stuck with for dinner

Hankering some Texas Fried Chicken tenders on a lunch hour and being this one is the one nearest me, I made the trip to Castroville. There was a line in the dual drive thru set up and employees were eagerly taking orders. Once I placed the order I got everything in about 3-5 minutes without anyone ahead of me I was on my way back to the suburbs. Once home, the chicken tenders were still fresh and crispy pairs well with their gravy and crinkle crispy fries and their warm butter roll, yum! Five stars for the food, exceptional services and quick in and out, p.s don't forget the bag of ice at $1.00 with tax!

Rude workers. Poor customer service. Never recommend this place to anyone. Workers always on phone. Music is rap full of bad words.

No. Did I know there was a Castroville-favorite restaurant there as well? Also no. We had to try it. Located inside the Alsatian Golf Club's clubhouse is their 19th-hole restaurant and bar: Julianna's Restaurant. Upon entry, you realize the place has been around for some time. It feels very classic San Antonio, with wooden walls accented by tan and white bricks. The restaurant's aged interior gives it a cozy, lodge-like charm. Though the restaurant was pretty busy on a Saturday night, we were seated instantly at a booth that gave me a perfect view of the Georgia-Alabama game on the bar's TV. After nine or eighteen holes, you never know what you're in the mood for. That's why Julianna's has plenty of options: sandwiches, pizzas, pasta, seafood, steaks, and other meat dishes. Our server came by very quickly and got us our drinks, which for me was a tall Saint Arnold Oktoberfest. I had a tough time deciding between two options: a bone-in pork chop or their creamy Cajun pasta. I opted for the bone-in pork chop with a Caesar salad, bacon green beans, and herb rice. My dad got the creamy Cajun pasta, and my mom got the Southwest chicken. It wasn't long until the Caesar salad came out, with huge croutons and a generous helping of dressing. It was excellent to the point my mom wished she had ordered it over her chicken tortilla soup, which she also enjoyed. If you ever order a meat entrée and they stick a steak knife in it, you're in for an ESPN Instant Classic. The pork chop was huge, topped with a house raspberry chipotle sauce. It was tender and cooked well. I'll admit, trying to find the bone versus the pork was a challenge, but I think that was a me issue. I would order it again. As for the sides, the bacon green beans were sneakily running for Sixth Man of the Year, and the herb rice paired with the pork chop quite well. I would go back. The meal was high quality and felt like a hidden gem even for longtime Castroville residents. What a treat. RIYL: Going to golf courses while being very bad at golf.
