Burnhouse - Jack and coke they need a menu - Bars Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

I would give it 0 if I could. I had been here a couple times. Im going to spell it out for yall. 1. VIP section is wack af and in such a weird spot 2. The inside is basically empty and ran down 3. Don't even get me started with the restrooms (absolutely disgusting) Finally my experience(s). Most experiences there were okay to start but then it just get weirder and weirder as the night goes along. This is like a beginners night club with a lot of weird people. Some of it is okay but again the later it gets, the weirder it gets. We had over the top security litterly pushing a group of girls down a flight of stairs when we were on our way out for the night. Some security definitely have ego trips here. Just be warned, theres sooo much better than this in S.A. and yall deserve better I imagine. This is a place trying to be hip/modern but then gets weird/over crowded and ghetto read more

If I can give this place ZERO stars I would . I was really in disbelief with my visit . Me and my family decided to give this spot the benefit of the doubt due to its reviews but can see why this place doesn't have the 5 star rating. We went 1/31/25 and a fight broke out. Instead of "Security" doing their job and getting the perpetrators he went after the innocent group. And allowed them to keep getting attacked and beaten while standing there. It's mind boggling that this place is still running, It has incompetent security guards , staff and owner. This place needs to be shut down after reading the reviews and how their security handles situations improperly and how management hasn't made a dent to make changes, it's no brainer this place needs to be shut down . If you're looking to have a good time , I do not recommend this place at all. Your well being is more important. read more

Omg Burnhouse takes me back! Owned and ran by such incredible people that always take care of us every time we visit. And they have some of the best music/DJ's. And the bartenders are quick and always so kind! It's a big space with a great rooftop! Definitely take advantage while we have this weather, Texas lol. And they brought back their $2 Tuesdays which I cannot wait to go to! read more

If You're looking for a fun nightclub experience w ur girls, this is NOT the place 2 be. OVER PRICED, firstly. Wanted a refund as soon as we walked in and saw it empty at 12am. The man at the door named David was rude & almost didn't let me in. Drinks were 3/10, mostly juice didn't feel much off what they had, so pre-game before you go is absolutely necessary. The men are all creeps here, they all just stand in line in the back waiting for a girl to twerk on them like a HS party Go with friends, because I'm so thankful I did & my friend was able to pull me away when I didn't notice this man trying to touch me from behind. The whole place has a negative vibe, the DJs played pretty much the same music both inside & outside. Bonham Exchange downtown is way better. Nicer people, various styles of music & way more authentic! read more

Security was terrible. They kicked me and my girls out for no reason. We stepped outside for one second just to get away from the crowd and the owner or whatever he just told us to leave and I asked him why. And he didn't even give us a reason and just waved his hand in my face. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Because what the heck I payed 20 dollars to get kicked out for no reason. read more

It's a great club to have a drink at,and relax with friends. It's a night club,so things don't start to get going until the night. Most people should really stop by one night and have a drink or two. read more

Worst experience in SA. The security gaurds are awful. Who hired the DJ!? They over charge and the atmosphere is horrible read more

Horrible place. $11 for shot of Yeager. $17 for whisky and coke. And $22 for a regular drink. Let's put it this way. Don't come. $10 for parking. $10 to get in. Sucky everything. Kind of the worst bar in town. The females are LLC married. And the guys hate paying big when the guys have to pay to get in but the females get in for free. I thought females want equality? Did we say. fake read more

TRASH. This "club" wants to be fancy/a legit club but its in a strip mall and not down town. They are 18+ do if you wanna get drunk with underage students, this is the place for you. They also don't enforce any sort of dress close like a club should. The poor bottle girls are in legit lingerie. opposed to a legitimate uniform like you would see in a real club in a big city. And they don't even attach the sparklers to the bottles so it looks low key dumb. On the plus side, the drinks are cheap and the management is pretty innovative. They hired pole dancers which was a blast. They also rained hundreds of $1, sadly did not time it well so most blew into the parking lot Speaking about the parking lot, it is a HOT mess. They block off most the lot to force you to do valet which ends up having people illegally park so it's almost impossible to leave without hitting someone. read more

Looking for a classy night out on the town. This place was enjoyable. I went on a Saturday night. The music was mainly Latin based & reggae, I loved it; from the rooftop to the inside or the club it was fun and pleasant. It was crowded as a club should be but also it was a lot of empty cups and beer bottles laid around on tables, ledges... pretty much whenever someone could have place their empty or half drunken cups/bottles they did. There was a really drunk girl who was acting belligerent it took a while to get her out the cup but eventually they did. Then of course due to all the half full cups that were left around in the process of escorting this drunk girl it the club someone hit one off a ledge which fell in my sisters white dress . Not to thrilled about that, but overall it was a good night, I'll definitely give them a try again. read more

Don't go to the clubs in this area if you want peace. Also the bartender charged me $10 for a free water cup. I was trying to leave and security was constantly harassing me, and wouldn't leave me a lone. Was just minding my business and one of the security guards (short blonde white security mid 40's female employee) was very disrespectful and has an harassing addiction. She consistently attempts to use whatever power she has instead of helping others like a decent individual. Security should only be there to help and de-escalate. Instead she enticed issues to arise. 1/10 for the amount of decency within the security for this lady. She just ruins the night life and should not be employed. read more

this place is trash lol. if you want to listen to music and drink make sure you are in the middle of the dance floor in the way of everyone or at the bar(also in the way of people) lol because apparently all other areas are to be reserved and they will make sure to let you know thats is to be reserved?? lol whats the point to buy a drink when most if it is being wasted from all the bumping plus its extremely ghetto. so much for what it was in the past read more

I don't understand the reviews being so low. If you wanna go out , be a little ghetto, and not have to dress up this is the club to go to . It's great vibes , great music , good hookah. I love it read more

This place is whack. Impossible parking, shitty drinks, a bunch of dudes standing around and the few girls there are not top shelf. I've been here twice and this is the crappiest place at the strip. The other spots are better. read more

It was poppin when I went. They have a two DJ set up and primarily hip hop which is a nice niche, the one critique I have though is the fact that it is difficult to reach and you have to know where you're going to find it. This is the same issue as DZIR, lots of stairs and the entrance is in the back, but to no fault of the location. It is a place to check out and I hope the next time I come by it can wow me and give me something more unique to remember it by. read more

If I could give them -10 stars I WOULD!!! I'm from Louisiana and we have a slightly different style ID from Texans! We also have what's called LA Wallet where we have our license on our phones!!! They told us our ID's were fake! 10-15 mins of noting but bullcrap!!! Just bc we are from Louisiana doesn't mean we are trying to "fake" our age to get in a club!! We provided a valid license and the bouncer took them from us! the DMV wouldn't have given us that if it were fake! they ONLY let our friend in bc she had a Texas state ID!!!! nasty service, police were not understanding us nor were they any help!!! They need to be shut down!!!! read more

If I could give this place a -10 I would. I would never recommend this bar to anyone. I have gone multiple times and witnessed misconduct by their body guards, until it finally happened to me. It was the last straw. I would just like anyone who is wondering about this place to keep that in mind, if you plan on going out for a fun night do not go here. I was forcefully removed by the bouncers even after complying with the bouncers they still managed to push me and bruise me while trying to get me out of there. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE EVER. read more

Absolute scam. Must pay for parking and $20 for 2 disgusting drinks. Crew at the door were extremely rude and argumentative while the staff inside were sweet, the dancers or whatever they were somewhat aggressive too. Everything was also sticky and slippery, never saw anyone clean as they walked by. Never going back no matter what, waste or time and money. No chairs! read more

The absolute worst club in SA, where do I even start. Last time I was there the bouncers tried to escort me out for underage drinking even though I am 22 and had the proper band on. Everyone there is rude and disrespectful. Do not waste your money or time on this absolute trash club. read more

Absolutely trash security. Small blonde woman interrogated us accusing us of already being intoxicated and asking (extremely condescending) how old we are even though we are OBVIOUSLY over 21. Even being sober she accused us of already being drunk saying she can see it in my eyes and she's been 'doing this for a long time'. This is just my normal eyes. Very insulting and honestly seemed like she was on a power trip looking to insult people. We left by choice before we would possibly be thrown out for no reason at all. 0 stars for how trash and disrespectful the security is. After went to other local bars and were told to avoid this place and the area all together. Happy I know now to not go back!!! read more

I'm in the military so finding clubs isn't easy. So I went on instagram per usual I looked at Dzir which is the club next door within the first 10 pics I seen no one of color. But I went and looked at burnhouse and I can see how diverse the community was in there so I gathered a group of friends and we went. Security was hard but I'm sure it was for safety. The Djs played good music we even sung party in the USA on their patio the promoters were nice and bought drinks this is definitely a place I will come too more often. read more

This is my new favorite Latin night spot! I had a great time last night came in around midnight. Cucumber drinks with chile on the rim are a must! We were also given a free fruity flavored hookah & free shots because a third party company had messed up on our order (thank you-our Burnhouse server's customer service was good). It was hard finding parking at first but I'm glad we made it. We were on the rooftop patio VIP area - great memories made! read more

Go see Ecstasie for all your VIP Needs. Easy to talk to and knowledgeable in her work. If you're looking to book a table for a event or just for a night. This host Ecstasie is a great choice. Liz the bottle girl there is a good vibe too! read more

Definitely would not recommend this spot. Was our first time here and our last. So for 3 beers and 3 shots...if you wanna call them shots...$50...$15 for 3 beers...ok...but $11 for "shots" that looked like they were measured from a tablespoon...yea no...but ok whatever...then in order to sit you have to reserve a spot and then on top you have to pay for a bottle...so no public seating! Ok guess everyone stands like we are at a middle school dance. Super crowed and hot asf and no fans or anything and everyone looking like they splashed their faces with water. I can say the music inside and out was good...but that's about it...definitely shouldn't waste any money here. Go somewhere with actual real shots for $11. read more

If I go out for a club night, it's usually to burnhouse. Great crowd, good music, good drinks. It's a fun atmosphere. I will say that the door guy downstairs is really rude and seems bitter all the time. But other than that, the bouncers have never been rude to me as they actually are lenient. I suggest going to burnhouse if you haven't already! read more

Wouldn't waste my money here... was "Latin night" and the music wasn't even that good. The people were ghetto. The atmosphere isn't great. Some songs were good, most weren't. The songs that were playing outside in the 60 degree weather was better than inside? Drinks are REALLY expensive. Oh and it's hard to get parking too. read more

I was treated horribly by the former owner or his staff. Me experience should in no way be a reflection on the new owner and his staff. Furthermore, I would recommend that you all visit and enjoy yourselves at Burnhouse. read more

We stumbled upon the Burnhouse after an evening down at Picks and Lush. We walked in and really liked the look of the facility and the staff was extremely polite and helpful. Overall the place is good and has potential but why are they playing RAP music in a lounge type establishment. The music should set the mood and it does the opposite for smoking cigars. Maybe it was a special occasion. Lastly the cigar selection was not very plentiful to choose... If it's a cigar bar there should be lots to choose. A good idea for the outdoor patio would be lighters as the wind easily blows out matches. read more

security bouncers are amazing. There was a situation there and the took care of everything. Thank you so much.

Leaving this as I'm inside. I'm sorry but no one likes hearing the DJ talk over the music. It's currently playing drake and we want to hear him not the DJ. If I wanted to hear a hype man I wouldn't have come. Play more music, drop the mic, DJ. read more

Giving 2 stars for the music. just being nice. Tons of guys just standing around . Security doesn't check ids right they just look at the age and think the girl is 21+ when OBSLY it's a fake. Was overall a pretty cool place with good music BUT the bouncers are HORRIBLE. I almost got kicked out and I wasn't even doing anything wrong. I was a little taken aback when a bouncer rushed up to me and told me I had to leave. Of course I was drunk (it is a bar after all) but I wasn't too drunk. I was not belligerent, wasn't falling down, wasn't incoherent, wasn't arguing with anyone, was not being indecent, I literally was not doing anything that could have warranted me getting kicked out. When I asked the bouncer why I had to leave he literally refused to give me an answer and just kept telling me I had to leave. He finally realized I was completely fine and should not be kicked out and I was able to continue my night. But it kind of sucked because I felt like I really had to watch myself even though I didn't do anything wrong in the first place. Out of all of the bars and clubs I've been to in LA, Las Vegas, and San Antonio (some of which I have been way more drunk at than I was at Burnhouse) I have not once been told that I had to leave. After seeing the reviews on this place and seeing that a lot of other people have had problems with the bouncers/security as well it all makes sense. MANAGEMENT (specifically David A), PAY ATTENTION TO THESE REVIEWS AND ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. This clearly has been going on for far too long. read more

A frequent patron of Pick's bar in the same strip, I recently discovered Burnhouse. I'm 33 and have been around the world. A noob I am not in bar hopping. I get my ID checked by the security which was fine. After seeing them stamping hands or giving wristbands for people of age, I make my way to the door. The little lady there says it's a $10 cover. For $10 I want to know if it's worth the money. I ask her "how are the drinks?". She gets an attitude. She did not represent the establishment in a positive light. "$10, are you coming in or not?" is her response. Horrible business sense. Wish I could give it a 0. Hope her manager sees this. read more

I absolutely would give -5 if I could. I being the DD bought my friends a round. I got pulled out of the bar club whatever it is completely sober and got handcuffed by their bouncer for being "combative" and I got thrown into multiple pillars and the ground by this guy. When he finally checked my id and saw I was 24 he apologized. Do not ever go here read more
