When I came to pick up the dress (silky material), there were damages (nits and scrapes) all over the dress (front, back, arms, everywhere). Not only that, the alterations were so poorly executed. The arms weren't straight. They were all wonky. The seams don't line up. I honestly can't believe how horrible it is. I told her i was not happy with it and there were damages all over the dress. Her response was, "you said this was a cheap dress, so I gave you cheap discount." Firstly, I never said those words. She was making stuff up to cover up her mistakes. I told her I do not want to come in again. I want a refund for the alterations and my dress. She insisted come in on Tuesday to talk to her manager. And ignored me and went to the next customer. I don't have high hopes to be honest. I will be taking this to customer service. Overall, I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANY EXPENSIVE GARMENTS. The lady that helped me was not professional. She raised her voice, she was defensive, she denied the damages and was absolute ZERO help at all. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. The service is good and my clothes are usually ready for pick up earlier than expected. They will send an email when items are ready, so do check your email, otherwise just pop by with the pick-up receipt on the date/time stated. You can also bring the altered item home to try. If it is not done right, bring it back and they will re-work it at no additional charge. That happened to my jeans which was still too long despite the hemming done. The location is also very convenient as it is right in Metrotown and nearer to the skytrain and bus loop area. Parking can be a pain as it is always crowded though.

Hellen (the lady at the counter) confirmed they could do the job for $120, she called somebody to confirm they were able to clean this type of coat. Upon collection, we noticed the coat has shrunk so much that the internal liners were hanging from the sides, and the coat was ruined. Their explanation is that my wife didn't show the coat "fit properly" before they ruined it. Nevertheless, they inspected the coat as some minor alterations were needed. Their excuse is not valid, they are supposed to be professionals and identify their mistake. As a member of the Metropolis community of business and a recurring customer, the lady insinuates we were trying to take advantage of them. I don't take this type of rude behavior kindly and I'm frankly disappointed with the way Hellen runs her business. I'm expecting to get a canned reply saying "I apologize for the inconvenience" and "This is not standard practice". Helen, the least you could have done is act with empathy and return the 120 dollars you charged for the dry cleaning services. Anything besides that is empty words.

These pants are one of my favourites, even though they didn't cost much to begin with, they're comfortable and fit nicely. I started by shopping around, knowing that tailors pricing can vary widely. Being close to Metrotown, I started there. I was quoted $25 at two shops and $20 at another, with a turnaround of about a week. Fast forward to a day or two later and I found myself walking around New West with some time to kill. Again, pricing varied, but having read great things about Wizard I decided to pay them a visit. I will say the price quoted was not the cheapest of those I received in New West, but it wasn't far off. The tailor explained how she would fix the tear and that it would be ready early the next week. I agreed, and a receipt was given to me and the pants left for repair. Fast forward to the next week, my receipt was presented and the pants brought out. The tailor encouraged me to try them on and I did so. As far as I can see, they look and fit great, and it's hard to make out the repair with the naked eye. I'm pleased with the quality of the repair and will certainly be back to Wizard of Needles in the future.
