It was close to my work and convenient. I dropped off around noon and picked it up when it opened the following day. They did a pretty good job, it was clean and nicely folded. The laundry was charged by weight, it can add up but the price you pay for convenience. The laundry mat looks clean, lots of machines I don't know how much they charge per use but I would assume way cheaper than drop off service.

I was quoted about $300, and it would take bout 3 weeks to do. I was expecting a call, but I kind of forgot about it until recently. It was partly my fault since I didn't check the tag for what day it was ready for pick up. My husband picked up my dress for me, I've seen so many horror stories about some dry cleaners giving past brides back the wrong dress back. I got the right dress, with the custom hanger I had on it and the garment bag. I was charged $174 for the job, I was happy that I was under quoted for it. The first thing I noticed that that there was faint tan stain around the center of the sweet heart. I had spent a few days trying to get out the wine stain left in the dress before dropping it off. I thought that it would help them clean it faster. My husband didn't notice it when he picked up. I guess I can't complain about the price I was charged. They did miss a spot and my dress was fairly clean already. I had only wore it my ceremony and dinner. The shop itself is brightly lit in the front, dimly lit in the back. Makes me wonder how they manage to do alterations. They do have a bright light around their sewing machines, so that's a bit of a relief.

I was…read morerecommended to try this as I was told they are "family owned" and I wanted to support a local business. I was disappointed. When I first picked up my items (on Saturday) I noticed brown dotty marks on two of the pieces. One was slightly creased (I am OK with that). Another looked a little worse for wear. I was advised by Busy Bee that my dress looked like that because the manufacturer mixed black and white colors and this is what occurs when manufacturers do this. i.e. it can look a little worn because they said the black can bleed into the white. I was very surprised because it's Judith and Charles, and I've never had an issue with J&C. As a result, I called Judith and Charles on Monday. J&C advised me that they had rarely seen it like that, but it can occur if a drycleaner uses too many chemicals. J&C offered to take my dress and dryclean it with their own drycleaner. They said that I shouldn't use this drycleaner again and recommended I use a different one or handwash it myself in future. I had told the store that I was unhappy with what I saw so they had asked me to leave it with them. When I picked it up the second time, and after a calls with the proprietor, I would say that it's not worth the hassle. If something goes wrong, it's a little painful and I really didn't enjoy this experience. Also, I really want to be confident that my clothes are CLEAN. Even though they removed the brown dots (I have no idea what it was - chocolate?) it didn't make me feel comfortable. In future, I'll stick with Suter Brook/ Sun Square or Harbor Downtown Drycleaners - all who I have used for many years. I'll never take any pieces I care about here nor do I recommend them. They do do a lot of business with local corporate clients but a very disappointing recommendation.

I guess I looked disappointed, because he said if I didn't need them ironed he might be able to get them back to me by the end of Thursday, which I agreed would be great. Well, I got a call later the same afternoon to let me know that everything was already done! I was delighted, and picked up my refreshed covers that evening from an equally cheery lady. This morning I got a call from her apologizing for not having applied a discount that I didn't even know I was eligible for in the first place, so now I also have bonus surprise credit. All in all, this was an exceptional experience. I'm sure I can find something in my closet that says dry clean only... or maybe it's time for me to stop avoiding those tags!
