I created this Yelp account in order to share my experience with Busy Bee Drycleaners. I was…read morerecommended to try this as I was told they are "family owned" and I wanted to support a local business. I was disappointed. When I first picked up my items (on Saturday) I noticed brown dotty marks on two of the pieces. One was slightly creased (I am OK with that). Another looked a little worse for wear. I was advised by Busy Bee that my dress looked like that because the manufacturer mixed black and white colors and this is what occurs when manufacturers do this. i.e. it can look a little worn because they said the black can bleed into the white. I was very surprised because it's Judith and Charles, and I've never had an issue with J&C. As a result, I called Judith and Charles on Monday. J&C advised me that they had rarely seen it like that, but it can occur if a drycleaner uses too many chemicals. J&C offered to take my dress and dryclean it with their own drycleaner. They said that I shouldn't use this drycleaner again and recommended I use a different one or handwash it myself in future. I had told the store that I was unhappy with what I saw so they had asked me to leave it with them. When I picked it up the second time, and after a calls with the proprietor, I would say that it's not worth the hassle. If something goes wrong, it's a little painful and I really didn't enjoy this experience. Also, I really want to be confident that my clothes are CLEAN. Even though they removed the brown dots (I have no idea what it was - chocolate?) it didn't make me feel comfortable. In future, I'll stick with Suter Brook/ Sun Square or Harbor Downtown Drycleaners - all who I have used for many years. I'll never take any pieces I care about here nor do I recommend them. They do do a lot of business with local corporate clients but a very disappointing recommendation.

This place makes me wish I had more stuff that needs dry cleaning. I dropped off a huge pile of…read morevery dusty couch and cushion covers on Wednesday morning, and was told by a cheery fellow that they'd be back on Monday since they're closed on the 24th and 25th, of course. I guess I looked disappointed, because he said if I didn't need them ironed he might be able to get them back to me by the end of Thursday, which I agreed would be great. Well, I got a call later the same afternoon to let me know that everything was already done! I was delighted, and picked up my refreshed covers that evening from an equally cheery lady. This morning I got a call from her apologizing for not having applied a discount that I didn't even know I was eligible for in the first place, so now I also have bonus surprise credit. All in all, this was an exceptional experience. I'm sure I can find something in my closet that says dry clean only... or maybe it's time for me to stop avoiding those tags!

I have been using this laundromat for about nine months now. I drive fairly far to go to this…read moreestablishment because I can't find a decent laundromat in my city. They have one very large washer which is the main reason I go there because you can get all your bedding done in one machine. A few months ago, new owners took over the place. The first thing I noticed was although we were all being told to wash our hands thoroughly with soap because of the pandemic--they had no soap. They also don't have a handle on the bathroom door. Very gross. I drove to the laundromat yesterday expecting to be out of there in an hour like I usually am. First of all, it was packed and almost every washer and dryer was in use. That of course is not the fault of the proprietors, but it was chaos and the person working there was not helping the flow of customers. One woman had a very large amount of clothes to be washed. One of the machines she was using was the large capacity washer. I waited patiently for her wash to finish and I used two of their double load washers to do the rest of my clothes. The woman with the big laundry amounts went to empty one of the many washers she was using, only to find the clothes were soaking wet! The staff member apologized and put her laundry into a new machine. Unfortunately, they don't have any machines that could have just spun dry the clothes, she had to wash the clothes all over again. The man marked an x on the machine to show it didn't work. That made the second machine that had an x on it. I went to empty one of my washers and the same things happened to me--soaking wet clothes and I had to wait for it to wash all over again. That made three machines with an x on it. I finally got all my clothes washed and started to dry them. One dryer had mostly towels in it so I gave it half an hour to dry. I took it out then and the clothes were exactly the same dryness as when I had put them into the dryer. The staff did pay for the dryer for me as he did for having to rewash my last load of clothes. With all the people in there, and many having the same issues I was having, it took almost three hours to finish that laundry. So far the new owners seem to think they only need to collect the coins from the machines and not do any needed repairs to equipment or bathroom doors. I will be looking for a new place to do laundry from now on.
