I have an expensive black down coat that I had dry-cleaned in the past with another cleaner company and the black never looked the same (duller). I was shocked the black is back after dry-cleaning with West Blvd Cleaners, not dull at all! I also had 2 more coats and they came back looking brand new. I do love the notes they put on the receipt e.g. "belt - stains when received will do our best." I made me remember that belt was exposed to the elements after opening the car door, I realized my belt was hanging outside for the ride in the rain (doh!) Stain is now gone. A friend who's lived in Vancouver for decades recommended this cleaners very highly, so when my teenage daughter got some horrid stains on her new, formal prom dress (that she only wore ONCE), I decided this was the opportune time to try out this place (despite it being out of the way for us, and probably a bit more expensive than other dry cleaners). There is no dedicated or free parking near this cleaners but there's tons of metered street parking. Bringing in the dress, the lady behind the counter was quick to note that there were "no guarantees" that they could get out all the stains, but she assured us that they'd do their best, and she marked all the stains with fabric post-it note arrows. My kid and I thought about this dress the entire week, sending positive vibes out, with prayers, that they would be able to remove all the marks. Today we went to pick up the dress. The lady at the counter was incredibly friendly and, upon inspection of the dress, we were DELIGHTED that they got EVERY mark and every stain OUT. It looked better than new (as there was a small mark on the front when we purchased the dress). It was a miracle. We couldn't be happier with the service here. read more

Yaaaaaaaaay! So after a horrible mishap involving wet paint on a couch (blerg!), I was left with a huge patch of bright orange latex paint rubbed into the black textured fabric of a lovely pencil skirt that I had inherited from my (now dead) grandmother. Needless to say, I was the most distraught ever. I took it to Helping Hands Cleaners on Cambie, where the owner (?) kindly told me that this job was a little too heavy duty for them; he then said that for this kind of job, he would recommend West Boulevard Cleaners. I'm so glad that he did!!! On drop-off that they might not be able to get the paint out, and that there was a fairly good chance that the fabric might be discoloured, but they would try their best. I just have to say, when I explained what had happened I got a little teary-eyed and the staff were really lovely, reassuring and sympathetic, which made me feel a little better despite my nervousness. A few days later I went to pick it up and NO PAINT and NO DISCOLOURATION! YAaaaaaaaaaaaay! I couldn't be happier. It cost 15 bucks for the cleaning, which I was happy to pay to get my favourite piece of clothing back into ship shape. Thanks, West Boulevard Cleaners!! Price is slightly higher but the clothes does not have any chemical smell and looks new. If you want your shirts starched the way you wanted, and put on hangers instead of folded, they do a great job to make you happy! read more

First time in and would not go back. While their business marketing is clean and professional, their service is not. I brought my $500 down fill duvet for dry cleaning to them and paid $120. When I got it home it was all lumpy with the fill stuck together in corners of each quilted square. It is ruined! It looks like they just washed it in a washing machine and dryer. If you run a scam dry cleaner but just put things through the wash, people WILL know. I've had duvets dry cleaned other places and they came back as new with the fill still evenly distributed. Don't go to this place if you actually want dry cleaning... This is an over priced laundromat disguised as a dry cleaner. read more

In celebration of my 10 year anniversary as a customer I thought I should let everyone know why I have been a dedicated customer for a decade. It all started when I moved here from points East just over 10 years ago... I'm more than a little finicky about my clothes, most of my wardrobe consists of custom made suits and shirts. The items I do buy off the rack come from well-heeled racks because I just like well-made clothes. And Vancouver does have some of the very dressed people on the continent! Why wouldn't you take likewise excellent care of those beautiful garments? And because I am finicky about my clothes, I am even more finicky about the cleaning of my clothes. You could say I am an informed consumer when it comes to garment cleaning. First of all the technology has advanced over the last decade but WBC has done more than keep abreast of that technology; they have always been ahead of the curve. And with the technological advances comes environmentally friendly cleaning; this is probably one of the greenest businesses in all of Vancouver. The shirt service is precedent setting! I may be finicky about my clothes but shirts are in a category all their own. ALL my shirts go to WBC and every time I put one on it's like a new shirt. Thank You! At the end of it all WBC is green and clean. And in a decade they have also been consistent - same great service, same great garment care, same great people... EVERY time... for 10 YEARS! These guys do a fantastic job, period. Super friendly staff, too! I brought in my mud-caked down jacket after a weekend on the ATV. It went in looking like a tragedy and came out brand new. I brought my wool pea coat in for dry cleaning for the first time and when I got it back I was pretty happy because it was clean. However, because the buttons on my coat were leather, they had to take them off and resew them back on after the dry cleaning. The sew job was absolutely terrible, all my buttons started falling off so I lost one without even knowing because it was so loose and just fell off while I was walking. I had to spend money ordering extra buttons because of this and sew the buttons back on myself. I don't even sew, and the fact that I can do a better job than them is just disappointing. They also charged me extra just because of the buttons, but it was definitely not worth it thanks to this shitty sew job. Update 2/21 After seeing my review the owner contacted me and offered me a full refund for the service and the cost of the extra buttons I had to order. I am glad with how they dealt with this situation and will consider going again. read more

Words can not express how angry I am with this place. I had dropped off two blazer and a shirt last week. The shirt had a wine stain they couldn't take out that is fine And the guy said to me "that is not wine" umm.. I split the wine I think I know that it was a wine stain...?!?? my $250 polyester and acetate blend blazer was ruined. The material was thin, dull, and dirty. I had another blazer with the exact same material in different style. And they had put my blazer in the middle thinking I would not find out. On the same day I dropped off my $400 cashemere wool blend trench and I called them literally 5 min after I dropped off my trench told them not to wash my stuff and I will pick it up next day. I went there right when they opened. Guess What??? They washed my trench. It looked like it had been thrown in the washing machine washed with hot water, the color wasn't even black anymore and it had more lint on it than when I dropped it off! This place does not have the knowledge or tools to clean your fine garments. Please dont bring anything expensive you have there. It was my first time there and last. My garments ruined they can not replace it either. I don't want no discount on next laundry cleaning or refund the cleaning fee. It's not even worth the cost of my garment. read more

I am so happy with West Boulevard Cleaners. I realized in Sunday afternoon that I needed an item of clothing dry-cleaned for a wedding I was attending overseas leaving early Tuesday morning. I sent out a couple requests for quotes and West Boulevard cleaners responded within the hour. On a Sunday!!! I dropped off my dress - which had some serious wine/grease stains - at 7:30 AM Monday. By 4 pm it was ready to go and the bill was under 25$. Amazing service, great job on the cleaning. I will be coming back. read more

Im so glad to have found this place! I got some wood stain on my cardigan (so much trying to take care of it by laying it to dry on an old dresser with no towel underneath.) and to top it off I didnt have the chance to take it in for a couple of weeks. I went in to ask if they could help me with the stain and the woman at the front said she would take it to her boss to see what they could do. 5-10 minutes later the man comes up front to bring me my stain free cardigan! He said all I had to do was send it through the wash to get the spot remover out or I could have it done there. I opt for taking it home and washing it myself. It was nice that he gave me the option rather than just rack up a bigger bill for me. In fact he didnt charge me at all even when I insisted! Ive never have had to use a dry cleaning service before but I appreciated the kindness and good job they did so much that I cant imagine any where else. On top of that its great to know that they use products that are kinder to the enviroment. read more
