I've only had good experiences here. Some sections can be a little unorganized but for the most part I've found great deals here on clothes and some home goods. The cashiers have been friendly they don't have many if any employees walking around the store. read more

This was my first time at this location. Huge store, tons of clothing & home goods to choose from. Mostly in good shape! A bit unorganized & found trash in many areas. This is due to the customers. Surprisingly didn't see any employees on the floor but they had at least 4 registers open which was nice. Very busy on Saturdays. Women's restroom didn't have any toilet paper and only had 2 stalls open. read more

Saturday night 8/28/22. Now I understand why the low ratings. Love love the store, Unfortunately they have poor customer service, There was three cashiers, And here's the thing that I don't understand we are standing in line and your lines are out of control as I was standing in line 2 of the cashiers finish helping customers and they close their line down so you only had one cashier at the time, how frustrating is that and if you look at all of the baskets customers were spending over $200. It is so sad to see a great store and it's not being managed correctly, they honestly have poor customer service. I hope they fix it. read more

Similar to Big Lots, but better. I enjoy shopping here. I find new things each time l shop. You never know what they have to offer. I think they buy new items from stores that couldn't sell all of the stock. I would encourage people to go at least once. read more

Well ... it's just like any other discounted department stores. Nothing too bad. I didn't have to deal with any of their employees until the check out line. I always find something interesting to buy. This is about the only place we can buy some decent and not over-priced Calvin Klein pants for the hubby. Otherwise it is either the mall (which is over priced) or Ross (which the quality is not that great at all). I did notice that this place is a bit too messy ... there are just too much stuff in here! and I did notice a lot of employees talking in little groups while theyre folding/arranging/hanging clothes. Still not my favorite place to shop, but it does the job. read more

absolute pure crap. "coat factory" would suggest they sold coats. No instead they are trying to be a TJ MaXXs. I was flying overseas and into 0 temperatures so needed a coat fast. I went here and had a choice of one, yes one coat. There were about 2 rails of coats. What is that about. Change the name of your store its very misleading. As for staff. No one on the floor to help, tried finding one. I could have bought lots of kitchen stuff, bed stuff, lots of crap really but not coats, which means its a stupid name for a store and was a complete was of my time. read more

They have good brands but beware of the fitting rooms, returns and exchanges. Ive shopped here for about 3 years since it's on my way home from work. When I go to this location is the same thing when it comes to an exchange or return. I gave up on the fitting rooms. Last Saturday was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. Usually I have to track down a cashier that will in turn track down the manager who at many times has a bunch of thing on them and if I'm lucky I can be in and out in 30 or 40 minutes. Last Saturday however, there were two cashiers (male and female), the layaway/returns person, another lady employee doing something with hangers (the manager) and 4 customers including me. You would think I could return 2 dresses in 10-15 minutes. Nahh... The customer at the layaway/returns desk was putting what seemed to be a whole room of decor in lay away (and she as a customer is entitled to do so). The layaway/returns person looked tired and overwhelmed. The customer asked why wasn't anyone helping her. She gestured and said something but I could not hear. I felt bad for this cashier because I've been there but eventually even a mediocre manager shows up and helps. Well... that didn't happen. When the other 2 cashiers finished with their customers the layaway person told me to go to the cash register next to hers. The man didn't even wait for me to move two footsteps towards him, greet me or anything courteous or seemingly professional. He just said (kind of loudly) he didn't do returns and told me to stay put. The layaway person and cashier exchanged words. The customer with the layaway said that he was rude. I agree but I brushed it off. I've been conditioned not to expect too much from this place. Then the layaway person calls out to the manager who is still working with hangers. The manager calls out for who's calling her but the layaway person just lowers her head and continues the layaway process so I said we needed some help with a return. Manager says I'm standing where I'm supposed to be. At this point the male cashier laughs, the layaway person continues her work, the other cashier has no customers and I said I was going to return my merchandise somewhere else and left with every intention not to return. I understand that not everyone can do returns, that no store likes returns and that if people are busy at their registers then I have to do a line. But in this case there were two cashiers with out customers and a manager who can do returns instead of arranging hangers I'm sure that there were other alternatives to what transpired. What's really sad about this situation is the managers lack of support for a team mate but I guess that in this economy the layaway person is just a replaceable employee, not my kind of place and I just don't want to shop at a place where there's so much palpable dissent amongst the employees. the other cashiers could have helped the layaway person wrap things or anything other than stand there. The manager could of assign someone else to do the hangers. A lot of other things have happened and I guess will continue to happen. They get a star for brands and location. A hot ghetto mess. If you go here and you are a female customer, watch out for the angry, self-hating, rude female cashier who will project her insecurities on you. During checkout I had my daughter and her dad was checking out behind me separately. When I got to the register there was a noticeable change in the cashier's behavior. She did not smile or greet me in any way. In fact she had an unmistakable nasty look on her face. Her tone was abrupt and rude as she asked me "Cash or Card??" "Phone Number?" and handed me the receipt. I didn't say anything, just stepped to the side to wait for my daughter's father to check out. And guess what happened? "Hi, how are you doing today sir?" " Can I have your phone number in case you would like to make a return? "Thank you, have a good night" I was still standing right there at the register so it was clearly like she wanted to show (me?) how she could switch it up. We left the store, and I returned (alone) shortly after to make a return. I got in her line again, thinking maybe she had checked herself with some positive affirmations. I was not unpleasant in any way. And she did the same exact thing again. Speaking to the customers before me but angry and mute when I stepped up. She took my bag rudely without saying a word so now I want to know and I ask her: "So, am I the only one who doesn't get customer service in your line?" Of course, she can speak now so she snaps back "Oh no, it's definitely NOT YOU" Just angry for no reason. She was angry before I asked the question. (A hot ghetto mess.) Folks, when I tell you I. did. nothing. All I did was try to buy some earrings yall. Now, I don't expect much from customer service these days -- I really don't. But to go OUT of your way to be nasty/catty to a customer?? Where they do that at??? (Burlington off Terrill Mill Rd) It took me back to middle/high school (and that's a long way back for me) I went over and talked to the manager and he was nice and listened, but the whole situation was ridiculous. I had to later explain to my 10 yr old daughter that some people treat others badly because of how they feel about themselves. That's just the sad reality of the world we live in. But at the end of the day, the most important thing we learned today....is that your mama still got it! Ha! read more

STILL A VIABLE OPTION! At first glance, this store doesn't look so bad. However, upon closer inspection, you notice that the sizes are unorganized and items have just been placed carelessly on the racks. The building is old and worn and the bathrooms could use a bit of attention. The store is also much smaller than some of the other locations. Yet, you are still able to browse and find something you like. This store seems to carry more clothing, and housewares than actual coats. I think it is time for them to consider a name change that more accurately reflects what they have available. The staff were very sweet and personable. Check out was fast and efficient. read more

This store is the McDonald's of clothes with chick fill a prices , so slow, so stupid, so unorginized, the lines take so long even with a few people in line. Most employees just give you a stink look ughh I left my buggie full of stuff worth $175 ish because a line of 3 took 50 ish minutes ... I work in retail I swear to God im not exaggerating ..... Visited 3/10/18. My Family and I were out this past Saturday preparing for our annual Disney World Spring Break Vacation. stopping at this location was a must because it is always well stocked nice housewares items and trendy clothing merchandise. The store is more organized than most Burlington Coat Factories I've visited. The only reason I can not give this store 5stars is because of the unorganized racks of clothing. Normally each rack is organized my size but here the clothes are just on the rack. So you really have to pay close attention to an item you are interested in purchasing because the hanger may say your size but its really not. This location is near a Dd's Discount also in a shopping plaza with a Beauty Supply store. The Customer service was great also.. I had several Sales Associate as if we needed assistance or if they could assist us with anything. Sometimes I like to feel like I am important and a contributing factor to the success of the store. I will continue to shop at this location because I am never disappointed. read more

I'm surprised this place is still opened. It's always dead every time I pass by. I stopped by because my boyfriend needed some cheap boots for work. The selection was awful. We didn't have high hopes but this place still left much to be desired. It's a huge location but I only saw 1 person working and she was at the register. Well It's Burlington coat factory. Stuff all over the place. Shoes in random boxes and clothes on random hangers. You have to be in a dig for a deal type of mood to when going there. Not a big fan, but I waited last minute to look for some boots and this was my only option on a Sunday night. In the end I went to Target( never disappointed there). As far as BCF..... Obi is the worst, inconsiderate, no good customer service giving manager I have ever met along with his racist employees Yirama and the white lady with the bun. There was an item they did not have a proper tag on it so we asked two associates what was the price and the black guy quoted one price and then the white lady try to up charge it in a very nasty way. And then when we went to check out Yirama ever so rudely told us to go to another line so she could help a lady that wasn't even in line but was the same ethnicity as her vs us. When we brought this to the managers attention he stood there looking stupid acting like he just wasn't on the walkie-talkie speaking to the people that we had just asked information about nor did he just witness his associate be ever so rude to us. Incompetence abounds at this particular Burlington store. I picked out a jacket that had 2 plastic security tags on it. The lead cashier couldn't get off the second security tag - it was too large, an older model tag that wasn't in use anymore (but apparently still on the clothes). After 20 minutes of fiddling with the tag, she heads to the back to ask the manager who wouldn't respond to her pages for help. End result: He puts a large, 1 inch, half-moon hole in the jacket material and lining and still couldn't remove the tag. The cashier returns and tells me they're going to refund the sale. I said I would keep the jacket and remove the tag myself if they would provide a significant discount for the 30 minute wait, the jacket material and lining rip that needed to be mended and the trouble for the tag removal. The lead cashier called the manager and they weren't willing to give more than 30% off for this issue. I passed. The lead cashier had just given a customer that she was joking around with- and obviously knew- a discount on top of the normal discount they offer and announced to him in front of all of us that she had done something "special" for him. Meanwhile, they've put me through a long wait, ripped a jacket for which I've already paid, still can't remove the tag and can't muster more than a 30% discount for a jacket they probably can't resell in this condition. This store has the worst customer service..I bought 2 items 28 days ago. One fit perfect and the other was too small. My job sends me out of town and so couldn't return the item immediately. Upon returning said item( Still within thirty days- which is the time required on the receipt), I noticed hostility from the cashier from the time she saw the date on the receipt. Her claim was that it had been more than 7 days and thus the item must have been worn. She carefully scrutinized the item and noticed a very small blemish which I had not noticed myself( That's how insignificant it was.) Having realized I was going nowhere with the cashier, I requested to speak to a manager and have this sorted. The manager came and claimed that I changed the tags and had worn the item. Though this item can't even fit me. They had tags which said Size medium but it was in fact a small. At this point I realized the $12 dollar return is not worth arguing over and left the item with the two attendants and I didn't get my money back either. Case in point, stick to the Burlington on Roswell road or Busbee Parkway. The incompetence in this store is beyond me. read more
