I went to the store for the first time in a while and interacted with the rudest manager, watched her completely ignore her employee who talked to her and then heard another manager on a walkie talkie be incredibly rude while the check out person was helping me. What happened?? They used to have a happy go lucky kind of guy who was so nice and welcoming rather than scolding and biting managers who degrade their employees. There are still great people who work here, but the managers and the vibe of the store and customer care went from the best in town to the worst. I was so sad to see miserable employees who used to be happier. There were piles of stuff around the store blocking displays, Black Friday prep I imagine? It was not like that in years prior. I ordered at Starbucks and it took a pretty long time to get a tall latte, I really don't think I'll be back to the store as a customer -- the managers are driving people online and killing the store. I will never order from this company again. they would not work with me at all, and just kept telling me I had to take it apart and I had 2 - 5 days to do so, and have it sealed in a box. Well, right after I got the email message to take it apart, less than a day later, UPS shows up to pick it up. I wasn't even given 2 days, as the email stated. There was no way I could have taken this apart by myself and have found a box suitable for all those pieces. This is a very large dresser. I cannot believe how bad this place is. Considering that I did not adhere to the warranty plan, so they refused to exchange the product or cancel the sale. This was the worst service I have ever received as a customer. They sell a product of poor quality, and when you just ask to exchange the product, they ignore you and don't treat you the way a customer should be treated. I don't recommend buying anything from this store; they don't put the customer first, which shows how bad the company is, in addition to having products of poor quality, especially gold jewelry. Be careful when deciding to purchase anything at one of the JCP stores. Look for other, more serious stores that recognize the value of a customer.
