We stopped here to use the charging station. While here we used the bathroom (decently clean), picked up some snacks (okay selection) and beverages (lots to choose from), and used self checkout (very busy, all stations working). I bought 4 new tires and had them mounted and balanced. None of them were inflated to the same pressure, and 1 of them did not hold air pressure. I mounted it on my car and without driving it, the next morning it was basically flat. I returned to have it looked at, and the service took longer to inspect the issue on the one tire than it did to get all 4 tires mounted and balanced. The phone was hardly ever picked up even after ringing for minutes, the associates did not seem to care at all, and the quality is severely lacking with installation. I don't think I will return or recommend service here. read more

Facility updates and improvements as there is drive thru pharmacy and pull up for groceries delivered to your car. Online order and pick up is horrendously disgusting. Waited 12 minutes got help. Had to wait another 15m for help to arrive because she had to page someone. 1 bottle of acrylic paint is all I'm here for abs can't leave without it otherwise I would because the profitable company doesn't need my pennies. The staff at this store are negligent. I got injured at the cash register. While loading my groceries. Finger was cut open on the metal bar by the belt line. Not one employee assisted me. Nor did they report this incident but they watched the video seen what happened and said they're not at fault. Yet they closed off the gap at the register. Only giving a 1 star because a lower rating cannot be given. Similar to a previous review of a pickup recently left. Arrived at store during promised pickup window time between 9pm-10pm. After waiting for 15 minutes past promised window rechecked order status using Walmart app, which now displayed a "I'm sorry but pickup orders has closed for the day" message. Confused why no communication had occurred, was checked-in, and had been waiting for pickup order almost 30 minutes after checked in time. Called customer service (that apparently is not located at the store, used the number provided in the app regarding pickup order concerns) for more information. Was connected with representative who placed me on a brief hold to contact store and receive help picking up order. When returned stated that numerous calls to the store were not answered which was very irresponsible and that I would need to return for order the next day (actually cannot). When I inquired about how this was tracked to ensure that this wasn't a repeat incident for myself or to others, was then told that they COULD file a compliant if they decided. Uhhhmmm.... well you did not fulfill a contract, have my products, and my money, and then expect me to adjust and accommodate to the improper operations of your store. So, I would think this would have been offered and not needed to be asked about. Plus, what more do you need to decide to file a compliant. I was guaranteed a pickup time, your store closed the pickup area earlier than supposed to be closed, and no one is answering the phone to a store that is still supposed to be open. Then came here to leave a review only to see that unfortunately this has occurred to others, numerous times. So sad, makes me feel like Walmart as a business, not only near me, but also as a nationwide business, that provides needed items to people everywhere, believes they can do whatever they want, whenever they want, with no improvements in regards to their crappy services or any care for the people they say they serve. read more

Supercenter more like super predictably disappointing center, I broke my 5 year Walmart strike and decided to go to this location to buy a weirdly specific pump for my new inflatable pool. I chose to buy here because I saw the item online and the price was good. I walked to the far reaches of the sporting good section to find the time and it was on a pretty tall shelf, I took the time down and compared it to the one I had a screw grab on my phone, they were the same so I was confident the item in my hand would be $9.97 like the one I had found online. I wandered around for awhile but finding anything else I could imagine purchasing so I found my way to the cash register, my total came to over $17 so I asked the cashier how much the pump was and she said it as coming up as $16.77, I told her it was supposed to be under $10 and she said she'd have to do a price check: I showed her the screen of my phone and she looked at me with dead eyes and said, that's great but I'll have to do a price check.... a person I can only assume was a manager with a handheld price gun came over scanned the item and simple said "it's $16.77" and walked away. The customer service here is pitiful, I told her "no thank you" and I left. The sad truth of the matter is I would rather give another store $20 of my money for the same item if they offered anything above the bare minimum of customer service. read more

Around 1.5 month ago I replaced 2 front tires of my vehicle, after driving 5 thousand miles (which they should be good for 45k miles) both tires were totally bold and super bad they needed to be changed again so I went to the store and I spoke to the department manager Josh&store manager Nancy both of them literally did everything to blame the company who did the alignment I went to the company and they told me it is not because of alignment the car is fine and don't need the alignment so I don't know who to blame. I ended up changing the same tires in 1.5 months for over $400. The comment that they left on the receipt is totally something they made it up it's ridiculous! read more

I'm must be a glutton for punishment because every time I come to this place it's awful!! There is one lane open aside from the self-check out which never seems to operate without assistance anyways. The staff either doesn't care or management has failed to train them. Save yourself the torture and drive a bit further to Target or Woodman's. It is just a typical walmart, but this expirience was very interesting. I had this expirience a while ago. I was in the electronics department when I saw a laughing employee who appeared to be high and was laughing along with other erratic behaviour. I am dissappointed that this happened and I would hope you would try to find better employees. From when I was last at this walmart l, it was formerly the worst one in the city, they have sure done a lot to make this place better. But it is still pretty dirty in some places like the bathrooms and some food aisles. I would recommend this Walmart for a wide selection, but is not worth making a long drive for. read more

Yelp keeps asking me to review Walmart. I mean what can you say about Walmart? It's Walmart. It's like Target, but for people who dont want to put on pants. I hate it, but I still go there once a week for things you cant easily get elsewhere, or something you know you might have to return. This is probably the best Walmart location in Madison. It was actually the worst experience I have ever had anywhere picking up an item. I checked in at little after 9:30 PM ensuring I gave staff enough time to deliver my pickup order as the app said they were open until 10PM. I waited for about 15 minutes before calling the number on the sign in my parking spot. It rang and rang and finally went to voicemail asking me to leave a message with my name and order number, but of course the voicemail was full. I then called the store number itself and clicked the pickup option and it rang and rang with no answer. I decided to give them one more try and called the store number and kicked the option to speak to the store operator and it rang and rang and at this point it was 10:01. I had to drive to the front of the store, get my 3 year old out who was sleeping and keep in mind I'm pregnant. Talked to the nearest customer associate who said that department is closed now I said ma'am I was there at 9:30 and waited after checking in and even called the number. She talked to one other associate who then talked to what seemed to be the floor manager Paula. At this point we were waiting another 10 minutes in the store and luckily Paula found someone and got my order and handed it to me to carry out to my car. I think that was the worst part for me, I chose pickup for a reason and then had to carry out my own items and make my 3 year old walk out after she was crying in the store as we waited. We didn't even get into the car until 10:19PM and no sort of compensation and one sorry. read more

Since I wrote my last review this location has been completely remodeled and expanded. While it was formerly the worst Walmart in town I think it's vaulted to best. Everything is still clean (including the bathrooms, a Walmart first) and it's convenient with its department store/grocery store combo. As I've mentioned in other Walmart reviews I don't like that I shop at Walmart, but saving money here means I have more to spend at local establishments. The women's clothing section seems to have more cute clothes for people my age (early 30s) than usual - most Walmarts usually have cheap-o stuff for teens and then jump straight to frumpy grandma wear. If this location can manage to keep itself clean and organized it might be worth taking the extra drive from downtown. read more

The customer service at this Walmart is subpar at best. Nobody ever smiles, and if you ask for help they make it known that they're annoyed with you. Tonight they had grills marked at $4.92. I asked to purchase two of them and they told me it would be $492... that's not their advertised price (see attached photo). If I could rate a 0, I would. I recently purchased tires at a Walmart and had then put on at the Walmart auto center. 3 out of the 4 tires are losing air. I went back to get it looked at, but I was told I had to wait a week to even get my car looked at. I was looking for the closest Walmart to my Willy Street location and was directed to this one. I went in looking for just a couple of things, and normally when I go to Walmart I end up buying a bunch of stuff I didn't go in for. However, on this particular trip I was not impressed and went in to get what I needed and got out as fast as possible. Everything was very picked over, and the overall layout of the store wasn't very efficient. I found myself circling the store a couple of times because I couldn't locate the area that I was looking for. I also needed to go grocery shopping that day so I took a look around and wound up not buying any groceries because the selection was so small. I'm generally not a fan of Walmart's in general, but on occasion I visit because I normally find that they are easy to navigate and have such a large inventory. I did enjoy that this Walmart reminded me of the old one we had in a city I used to live in before they upgraded to the Super Walmart. However, the layout and design should have probably stayed in the 90's. I think they are in desperate need of an upgrade! read more

Probably the worst Walmart I've ever been in. Not only could I not get help multiple employees were just leaning on shelves texting on their phones and one of them was on the phone talking (speakerphone) with his mask completely under his chin swearing at the person on the phone to the point I left the aisle before I said something. There was two other employees also in that i'll laughing about it. Children walking by didn't even bother trying to be quiet so they couldn't hear him. This Walmart is the closest one to my house just moved here from another state. This is not a one time occurrence I have been in the store three or four times and there is always something happening and by looking at the reviews online corporate and management need to do something. I have had poor customer service this morning when the manager never apologized, said the Walmart.com system for pick up is the problem and that I should have just shown up at the time it was ready. I have done that previously and it wasn't ready, I have also had a problem with the app not checking me in and having to pick up the next day and was given a coupon, a discount, etc. (This has happened multiple times before) .He wouldn't give me his last name, when I asked for the general manager he said they didn't have one in the store, when I asked for the highest manager he said it was the store manager and he wasn't in today, being a bit elusive here, he made me feel it was all my fault and raised his voice and scolded me for not just showing up. My order was to be done at 7-8pm and I didn't receive that it was ready for pick up until 7:42, and when I went to check in it wouldn't let me. It still won't let me today. The phone rang and rang in the department and that is why I went to the main customer service to speak to a manager. I told his he was given poor customer service verbiage and he got madder. He also never offered to check on my order in this whole process! He was upset when I told his that I would let his store manager know of his poor service. She looked through all of the items in my cart. She then handed my receipt back to me and said OH OK and walked away. No apology or explanation. Walmart Supercenter on Nakoosa Trail's Bakery is terrible. I ordered a 5"cake with 12 cupcakes around it and strawberry filling for my granddaughters birthday. I went to pick it up and they put it in a container that was too small so all the cupcakes were smashed, plus they didn't put her name on the cake. Very upsetting. They gave me $5.00 off the cake, I even talked to a manager. So we go to cut the cake and there is no strawberry filling! I was so upset, I will never get a cake from them again and if you decide to get one, check on it a day earlier so they can try to fix their mistakes. read more

I am a frequent Walmart shopper. I even have a close relative that manages a Walmart store in Wisconsin. This Walmart has by far the worst customer service that I have ever experienced - and I used to live in the SOUTH. The workers that I have encountered at this Walmart could not possibly purposely display more "I don't give a crap about this job" attitude than they already are. The past 3 times that I have gone in there I have been treated like my time does not matter. They are completely inefficient, slow, lazy, and rude. The first time that I shopped there, I had about 14 items and went through the express lane. The lady behind the counter (pregnant) was moving so purposefully slow that it was obvious it was on purpose. She was trying to prove that she did not care about her job and that the customer's time did not matter to her. To get through the EXPRESS lane took more time than if I would have stood in line behind someone with a huge cart full of stuff in a regular line with an efficient clerk. Yesterday, I went in to get a couple of keys made and to purchase some other items. The lady who came to make my key just muttered utterances and sounds under her breath, rather than giving me a "sure, I can help you with that" or "here you go, have a nice day". She just took my key, made copies, and handed them back to me. Even when I said thank you she just made a small sound and walked off. Then I stood in line to check out behind a lady who had about 10 things. The clerks name was Darlene. She was, just as the previous clerk, extremely slow and uncaring. She was even SITTING DOWN in a chair, slowly taking one item and sliding it across the laser, stopping in between items sometimes to "chit chat". It took FOREVER to get my stuff and get out of there. I don't expect super speedy service necessarily, but I do expect to be treated with respect. Treating your customers with respect entails making them feel welcome and being efficient. read more

The absolute worst shopping experience of my life, covid or no covid. Grocery section in total disarray ,empty shelves, employees moving in slo-mo stocking (or not) shelves. New wider aisles make the walking twice as far as one cannot shop both sides of the aisle at one time. Never mind all that, when I finally went to check out, there were only 4 check out stations (in a mega store) and only one of those was open. Everything else was self check out. I had several produce items needing to be weighed and that always self destructs the process. Plus, I did not want to bag my own groceries (physical limitations) so I stood in line for 20 minutes. Finally got my groceries, checked out and went to go to the ladies room. You guessed it! All taped off and closed......never again will I shop at Walmart. Don't blame it on covid, Costgo and Krogers still manage to provide an efficient and pleasant shopping experience. read more

Walmart. The One stop for everything shop. You can't go wrong with shopping here, right? Although some people have a distinct hatred against this store for mass globalization and the eventual complete boringness of a city due to all the local shops dying out because they can't compete. If you have that kind of guilt riding on your purchases, you probably won't use the store much. Fortunately for Wal-mart, people have mastered ignoring general problems as such. So why then, do people shop at Walmart? Walmart is suppose to be the king of low-priced wares, but I think in this case (in Madison) they are mostly wrong. I have found any food here (though small) is generally more expensive than woodmans down the road a couple of blocks, is almost always cheaper. Even it's next door neighbor seems to stay king on it. The same can be said for their "personal care and amenities". You know, that stuff that generally keeps you smelling nice, and healthy stuff. Clothing is absolutely horrible here. You can tell its cheap/ won't last too long just by looking at it. Although some stuff is okay (underwear!), I would say Avoid most of it. As I side note, I'd like to mention that if you are looking for sweatpants, you can't find them cheaper than here. This store is also a let down due not being open 24hours. I was under the impression that most are (I could be delusional though!) Generally the store closes at 11PM. So sorry to all you late night shoppers. To conclude, Walmart is a great convergent store which you can pretty much find everything you need in a one big plain boring box, but you can usually find cheaper elsewhere at one of our plethora of stores in Madison. I went here about 7 pm on a Thursday night. I couldn't believe how trashed out it was. The shelves were not stocked and there was stuff everywhere. I was looking for a bath mat, a fan and some groceries. This is the most disorganized, unkept Walmart I have ever been in. It felt like I was in a liquidators store - having to dig through piles of stuff. The lighting was dim and very difficult to find what I needed. There were employees walking around but no one was putting things on shelves. Needless to say I left without getting most of what I needed because I couldn't find it. The produce department was disgusting - moldy food, smelly. Yuk! I couldn't believe it. Usually when you go into a Walmart you can expect the same standard of cleanliness, organization and quality in each store. Not this one! Very disappointed. read more
