Always. Snacks: Great selection Pets: There is a grassy lot on one side near the diesel pumps. Nice quiet place for a dog to do their thing. Car Wash: This is where I may go nuts. I used it for the first time just this week and this is the BEST CAR WAS EVERRRRRRRRR!!!! I think I bought the premium wash, which was like $8. It's a touch free wash and I expected it to be like any car wash but it was not. As I'm sitting there watching the dog get nervous I wondered at the sign that said something about "tri-colored foam." Huh?? And then it began...PINK, BLUE, YELLOW! Swirls and swirls of this colored foam blanketing my car. What fun! But really all that matters is the result... I've truly never received a better wash from an automated car wash. My car looked like it came out of a detail shop.

I have been going to Jim's Amoco for about six or seven years. My first visit, my car at the time,…read morehad an engine problem. I took it to my old mechanic, and they said it needed a whole new engine. I went to Jim, because he is close to my office, and they diagnosed instead of a bad head gasket, an intake manifold gasket. I wouldn't have known the difference, but they told me the truth, saving me thousands of dollars. Since then, they have been my guys. They have always squeezed in my last minute emergencies. Because Jim knows I am often on a tight budget, he always tells me what I must do right away, and what I can put off and the cost and extent of what does or does not need to be done. I have even called Jim for advice when my car broke down up north and needed an engine repair up there. He didn't get a dime out of it, but he talked me down, when I was frantic, and gave me great information, that allowed me to determine that the remote mechanic I was forced to use, was honest and had given me a fair estimate. He helped me deal with my insurance company for an unexpected mechanical problem claim that came up after my body claim was completely settled, for a deer hit I had last year. When they fix my car, if it's not raining, they even run it through the car wash! Everyone is sweet, kind, NOT SEXIST OR CONDESCENDING at all. They are truly concerned about my happiness and safety! I have recommened Jim's to many friends and family members, who have all been happy, as have my co-workers! I have owned cars since 1976, and Jim's is the best mechanic I have ever had! Last but not least, fair and competitive pricing on all work! Toni Z., Madison WI

His employees share that same dedication. On 8/22/25 I -had LED bulbs installed in my front headlights- high and low beams-and backup lights in my 2003 Corvette convertible. I also had them do radiator cleaning, checking fluid levels, anti-freeze, etc. The LED bulb changes to see at night are spectacular. It's a great safety feature to be able to see like all the newer car drivers can now. I highly recommend JIM. He is honest, prices are fair, they stay on task with reliable time estimates.
