A few months ago I bought a guess winter jacket from you, Im on SSDI and had to put the $50 jacket…read moreon layaway, I did this at the 2025 Zeier Rd Madison WI store. Within a few days the zipper on the jacket broke. So I went back and bought another jacket. Well yesterday the zipper broke again, I reached out to your corporate office and explained m situation, they told me to go to the store, explain the situation and have the jacket exchanged. So I went into the store, went up to the counter and asked for a manager, a tall white woman with brown hair told me she was the manager. I explained the situation and she told me to go get another jacket and they would exchange it. So I did, when I went back up to the counter she started making up all these excuses why she couldn't exchange it. At this point I told her to use my phone number and look up the 2 different purchases I made for the jacket. She started lying and told me that your HR department cleared all the receipts which I know for a fact is a lie. Then another woman, a hispanic manager came up and humiliated me in front of at least 6 people. She touched the jacket and huffed, well its worn, OBVIOUSLY IT WAS WORN. Then they both refused to give me my receipt OR THE zipper that broke off my jacket. I was almost in tears to I left, I went out to my car and called your office back and the woman said someone would call me back and no one did. This is so far out of line! I don't have a winter jacket now and it's the middle of January in Wisconsin. I want the coat exchanged and these woman need to talked to about how to handle situations like this. THIS IS BURLINGTON COAT FACTORY! Not Rodeo DR ! The way I was treated and left without a winter jacket is appalling.

Today, after exactly 4 days (12/13/2023), I went to position my pendant and opened one of the links on my chain. I went to the JCP store in Madison - East Towne Mall to request an exchange of the product, considering that it had only been 4 days and was not misused. Considering that I did not adhere to the warranty plan, so they refused to exchange the product or cancel the sale. This was the worst service I have ever received as a customer. They sell a product of poor quality, and when you just ask to exchange the product, they ignore you and don't treat you the way a customer should be treated. I don't recommend buying anything from this store; they don't put the customer first, which shows how bad the company is, in addition to having products of poor quality, especially gold jewelry. Be careful when deciding to purchase anything at one of the JCP stores. Look for other, more serious stores that recognize the value of a customer. Remember, you will only understand what I'm saying when you need customer service.

I went to the store for the first time in a while and interacted with the rudest manager, watched her completely ignore her employee who talked to her and then heard another manager on a walkie talkie be incredibly rude while the check out person was helping me. What happened?? They used to have a happy go lucky kind of guy who was so nice and welcoming rather than scolding and biting managers who degrade their employees. There are still great people who work here, but the managers and the vibe of the store and customer care went from the best in town to the worst. I was so sad to see miserable employees who used to be happier. There were piles of stuff around the store blocking displays, Black Friday prep I imagine? It was not like that in years prior. I ordered at Starbucks and it took a pretty long time to get a tall latte, I really don't think I'll be back to the store as a customer -- the managers are driving people online and killing the store. I might as well go to Walmart with lower prices.
