This store feels like it's making a last gasp in the remains of a mall on life support. And that's too bad, because the store is clean and better stocked than some other Penney's I've shopped at. But that doesn't always mean you'll find the items at a competitive price. And more and more it feels like they have a limited selection for too wide of a variety of items. And a lot of sales require you to have a coupon. But my biggest issue here was trying to find an open register. I had to walk through 2/3 of the store to find one, and I had no idea how many others might have been open. Even an area I thought would be busy - women's clothing - had a big "register closed" sign. Checkout itself was pleasant enough, after my 5+ minute walk around the store trying to find the open register. Maybe more registers are open later in the day.

This afternoon we stopped in at this JCPenney location to buy a Sephora gift card as well as some…read moreshorts for the end of the summer. This particular location is well stocked and we loved the fact that they had a lot of end of the season deals. We ended up buying two pairs of shorts for under $30. The only bummer is that we found out that if you buy a Sephora gift certificate at a JCPenney location then you can only use it at a shop inside one of their stores. This was a problem because we didn't want to box in the recipient of the gift but it was nice that the staff member told us.

I have gotten great deals on the clearance racks along with the discounts. I find the store to be clean and the employees to be nice and helpful. I've bought jewelry with my Kohl's cash and ended up paying $0 to just a few dollars. Some of it is pretty cheap so if it falls apart after just a few months as a few pieces have, it doesn't upset me. What I can't stand about Kohl's in general is when you submit a review, they do not allow you to include details of the transaction (your overall experience), you may only review the product. I recently purchased two pairs of shoes on-line and ended up returning both. I received one pair in a few days, it took two weeks for the second pair to arrive. My review was not accepted twice because I mentioned the shipping time and the loss of the discount, even if I were to exchange for the same shoe in a different size. They tell you to call customer service about this kind of thing. That prevents potential customers from realizing the kinds of problems they may encounter when ordering on-line.

More packed here than any of those other places. I was (and still am) a bit confused... I guess the whole building is known as "Tilton & Cook Market Place" but each floor is a different owner.. or rather it's a business that rents out space to vintage/thrift stores. On the first floor I was told there were 5 different owners, but it's really hard to figure out whose stuff is whose and if you're entering another "store". Just remember where you got stuff. There is also a place to eat and relax on the first floor which is pretty cute, but I didn't look at the menu cause I wasn't hungry. People there were pretty nice. You really have to go digging around here (or in some areas). I was only able to get to the second floor... I think I was there for about 2hrs... there is just so much stuff! (I didn't even finish the second floor). From my understanding, each floor is its own "shop" (except for the first floor). But no one seems to have their own name... just "Tilton & Cook Market Place" or "Tilton & Cook Corp". Make sure to bring lots of cash... no one in the building can take credit/debit. And at last, the days and hours for these shops are all the same. I could be wrong on a few things here, but this is all what I gathered and understood. Im definitely gonna have to return. I've been going to a bunch of consignment/vintage shops recently and this one is probably the most…read morepractical one I've found. There is ample furniture, china, kitchenware, wall art, etc. and I think they have a separate store for clothing within walking distance. There are even some electronics and useful doodads. The lady working there was nice and answered my questions even though we left within 10 minutes of closing. We made away with some zwilling double insulated espresso mugs and a solid wood quilt rack (I've kind of been collecting these for our bedrooms). Most items seem to be reasonably priced and the prices do drop if they don't sell within a certain timeframe.
