When in the area I do my best to make a stop here. Yes, the…read morestore is old and somewhat dingy. And it can really be a hit or miss kind of thing. Ive shopped here a few times during the pandemic and each trip I've found the store to be completely COVID compliant. It's a large store with everything kind of spread out and at times I've found some really great items. Depending on the day or week certain color tickets go on sale. . Today the 50% off tickets were : white and blue. Green tickets : , .99 Everything is hung up and catagorized. But you do have to look through long racks - sometimes loaded with overpriced items and it takes time. If you have the patience and can deal with the fact that it's an older store, the long racks with some of the stock stained/ripped etc it can be a good place to shop for vintage, modern & anything in between. You never know what you will find! I'll also add that each time I've been here the staff are always pleasant and helpful !

Ollie's Bargain Outlet has taken over some of the closed Big Lots stores in the region including…read morethis location in Fitchburg. They offer an immense selection of closeout & overstock products from housewares, home goods, cooking items, holiday decor, gift sets, hardware, electronics, batteries, apparel, books, games, toys, grocery products, snacks, rugs, mattresses, automotive supplies, and more. The prices here a deeply discounted for the most part. I've picked up batteries, a few books, kids toys, and cheap pasta here. This store seems to be smaller than other Ollie's I've been to in NY and PA. The selection of product changes often. As a bargain hunter, you'll never know what you'll actually find here until you see it in person.

I was here with my family looking to pay some nice handbags as gifts for family friends…read more Bloomingdale's sells nice brands merchandise at a discount. We couldn't find anything at Sam's Fifth Avenue, but we found two purses that we liked here for a really good price. The employee was nice and helped us try out some that we liked. They had good brands such as Guess, MK, and Tory Burch. Later after we left with our bags, we realized that they forgot to take one of the security tags off. I came back just expecting them to take it off, but the employee gave us 10% back which was a nice surprise.

As I was making a transaction, the cashier charged me twice for the same item. While I had…read moreinitially suspected this, I waited to check my receipt rather than making someone embarrassed at the outset, preemptively. Lo and behold, I was indeed charged twice for the same item. This could easily be fixed by reading someone their order or having a monitor that shows what has been rung up. Do I receive an apology? Any acknowledgment, even in the slightest? A consolation gift? None. Instead another person tended to my "return" and the previous cashier avoided eye contact with me and spoke only with her. But it gets even better. When you open a loyalty account and spend $100 on your first transaction, you're entitled to 5000 points, or a $25 gift card return. However, because of the subsequent transaction in which I "returned" my duplicate item, the system auto corrected itself and deducted points and valuation based on a percentile of what it think I got for the transaction, as if it were a regular sale. With a $148 purchase, at one point per dollar, I was supposed to finish my initial transaction with 148 points after 5,000 points have been added to my account and automatically deducted for a conversion into a $25 gift card. Seems simple enough. Lo and behold, because $30.58 was subsequently deducted from my ledger, the system did not know how to process the reversal and accordingly, rather than simply taking off 30 points, took off a proportion of 30.58/147.79, in arriving at 20.69%. Accordingly, my gift card was retroactively reduced by 20% and my points were reduced to one. I proceeded to call the loyalty line several times. Every time, I have to wait seemingly forever. The staff have no idea what to do and often have connection and clarity issues. Additionally, the level of security I have been hassled for is just ridiculous when accounting for the fact that it is a store loyalty account. In any case, even though Bloomingdale's is in the wrong at numerous levels, I have to submit a ticket which I have to wait upon for "approval" as if they are doing me a favor. And it gets better: I was provided an ETA for when the ticket would be completed by. It was supposed to be 5 business days. I just called in, upon the seventh day, and no action has been taken yet. I would give zero stars if it were an option.
