On Monday, November 19, 2018, we went to Hobby Lobby looking for Christmas decorations. We ended up purchasing a Llama throw pillow and a burlap Christmas tree topper. We were checking out and the throw pillow rang up regular price. I advised the cashier that the pillow was on sales for 50% off. She told me, "no it is not". I could not believe she was arguing with me and being so rude to a paying customer. I told her it was on sale and she continued to argue with me insisting the sale was for last week or next week but NOT this week.......Another cashier walked with me to confirm the price of the pillow. Their was signage posted on the rack that all throw pillows, blankets were 50% off. So we walked back together and she informed the cashier that the pillows were in fact on sale for 50% off. The cashier put the flyer in front of her face and whispered to the other cashier that I was right. So, she rang us out and gave us our change and receipt. My items were still sitting on the counter. I asked her if I could have a bag and she said no. I said,I can't have a bag? She said no because they do not use plastic bags any longer. Ok, can I have a brown paper bag? No, she couldn't give me one but I could purchased one for 11 cents....yes, 11 cents! I said, "so I have to purchase a bag for the items I just purchased? She said yes! I asked how I was going to protect my WHITE pillow from the rain/snow outside? She said, "buy a bag". I could not believe what I was hearing from the cashier. We walked out of the store with the pillow under my daughter's coat and the burlap Christmas tree topper under my coat. At this point, I will NEVER step foot in Hobby Lobby again. I shopped there by choice, not because they are no other options for a hobby shop to shop at. read more
