I always find an outfit to wear when I go to Burlington. They are the best cheap name brand clothing place by far. I don't spend 2 hours searching for something like other department stores like Ross. Customer service needs a refresher course on their return policy. After the customer service lady refused to issue store credit for my return and told me to go back to the purchasing store and that they would give me store credit , manager "Ben" also refused the refund because I bought it at another Burlington and his "manager approval" decision was to refuse it after I said that the policy stated that I could get store credit if the tags were unattached. The whole point of being a chain store is to be able to buy and return stuff anywhere there is a store located. I'm going to call corporate on his ass. I don't know why these fuckers think people are stupid and haven't worked retail before. I hope he gets a write up like managers love to give cashier and floor people when they fuck up. As far as I'm concerned, I'm exercising my rights as a consumer and letting others know that Burlington employees cannot read their own return policy and exercise their "management approval" verbiage to keep customers from spending more money at their stores. Also, why would corporate tell their customers that the store manager will contact them to set up a date and time for the return instead of calling the store on the spot and telling them to issue it because their employees aren't capable to understand their return policy and keep what were loyal customers happy. read more

The blonde manager was very helpful in assisting with helping me understand their layaway expiration procedure and offering the $5 coupon to my purchase because the first supervisor, "Vanessa" was very... unpleasant. I'm glad she can run a report and tell me my name isn't on it but can't explain in a nicer way exactly why my name isn't on it. I too work in retail in a management position but my customer service / communication skills don't drop just because I'm in a position of authority. In the end I did buy my expired layaway item but I really hope I never need help with anything at Burlington if "Vanessa" is the one at the registers. read more

The manager BRE was very disrespectful and UNprofessional. I don't know how she got a job working as a manager when she has zero customer service respect or skills. My mother came to Burlington to shop for some stuff and we've been going there for many years. There was a rude Nigerian woman trying to cut my mother in line when my mother was there first and waiting there for a long time. She came in to try and cut my mother; with some little rolling cart with a handle she wanted to purchase to rudely cut my mother in line. She couldn't cut her line, because my mother wouldn't allow it so she stood right behind her all mad and butthurt she couldn't be a princess and get her way. Having no respect and common morals for the people around her including my mother, my mother felt uncomfortable. The line was so long it was literally ending at the men's isle. The Nigerian woman was standing so close to my mother not giving her any space putting her stuff next to my mom, literally touching her leg. So my mother told her NICELY.. not even trying to get hostile or cause a scene being mature putting up with the bs for that long then FINALLY spoke up and said, "Can you give me some space?" The woman yells aggressively, "EXCUSE ME"! My mom said, "You're right on me. Can you please give me some space to breathe?" The other woman said, "REALLY"?! She lammed her little cart thing in front of my mother and takes my mother's space in line to state, "NO WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT"?! My mom called the manager to help resolve the issue; but the manager was humiliating my mother in front of everyone in line laughing with the woman. When she should've been helping her resolve the issue. My mother is a good person and conservative. She doesn't like drama or immature confrontations. All she wanted was some respect and the manager BRE's EXCUSE was, "It's a holiday it's going to be crowded. People are going to be close to each other." My mother responded to the manager BRE saying, "All I wanted was a little space. I asked the woman to give me some space because she's being rude and touching me." The manager failed to provide professional customer service help, and was acting immature and laughing at my mother in front of everyone. The manager BRE and the other woman decided to humiliate my mother in front of everyone while they made a scene. As if it's okay for this Nigerian woman to be touching my mother and not respecting her when everyone is there to do their shopping and should be treated equally; but she was treated with disrespect. My mother didn't cause any issues to deserve this kind of treatment. Basically the manager allowed this disrespectful and immature woman to be rude to my mother and allow her to do whatever she wants. I don't know who hired BRE to become a manager and run a retail shop; but she has no customer service skills and someone needs to hire someone who is more educated and professional in that kind of business. read more

I was in this Burlington Coat Factory store a couple weeks after Christmas, and it was a terrible mess. Looked to have been ransacked! Luckily there was a guy in the men's department and I was able to find and buy a nice suit, and I really like it. Price was right too! They did the alterations while I waited and that all came out great, so I was more than satisfied. I mentioned the mess to the manager as I left and he said they had to get cleaned up from Christmas. I understood and I was happy with my service, so I left. I went back about 2 weeks later and the place was still an awful mess. I was looking for shoes but the shoes were not organized by size, style, or even gender. I had to look through the shoes one by one to determine if that was even my size. Or even a men's shoe. It was just ridiculous. I left emptyhanded. I would like to shop here but I can't take the time to examine every item to see if I want it! I am counting on the store personnel to keep the store organized in some manner to cut that process short. Like maybe put the women's shoes separately from the men's and sort them by size! It's not to much to ask. I hope this place can get a handle on their store. read more

This store has decent prices but if you are a budget shopper you can find better prices on toys elsewhere. You have to be careful buying here, they make the refund prefixes process intentionally difficult. They force all returns and exchanges to stand in the purchase line. I did some Christmas shopping and found I needed to return and item and went back today 12/17 and the Manager, Rosie, refused to allow register #1 to provide customer service as the designated return/exchange register. She directed me to stand in the purchase line that extended all the way to the back wall of the store. Don't shop here for Christmas! read more

I am not really a stickler for Cleanliness, but this store was disgustingly disorganized. The big and tall men's section was just thrown together with no order. There were no pants over 50, something I have not a problem finding in other locations. The shoes were a mess, almost none of the shoes in a section match that section. The toddler clothes were overpaid and had a poor selection. The women's section was a little better. I would not come back to this one again. read more

I am so pleaded to write this review for this Burlington store. It was a most pleasant Christmas shopping experience i have ever had at any retail store. The sales associates are so very, very helpful and so nice. Not like a lot of stores that the associates act like you're bothering them. I had not been to this store in several years, usually go to the Whittier one, but no more. Fullerton is my place to shop. A very special good review for our cashier Yolanda, who was at Register 3 last evening. While being totally professional, she was fun, friendly and very accurate in ringing up our purchases. I really can't say enough good things about this store, it was clean and the merchandise was very neatly arranged, not an easy task during this hectic shopping season. I really want to commend the manager and all the sales associates we dealt with who were so very helpful. And as I said, Yolanda was a jewel. We will be going back again, not only during this season, but from now on. Their prices are very competitive and in most cases more reasonable than other stores and of better quality. Have just started going here again. Used to be untidy and discount looking. Now it is attractive, orderly, and has very nice clothes and items. The prices are so good. Also there is a costume jewelry area with a great selection and so affordable. It is well worth checking out this store. read more

I have to say you have worst customer service ever!, I received a bulk of black athletic socks for a gift from a family member I went in to exchange them for dress socks cause that's what I really needed you guys refused to do the exchange cause of no proof of purchase when I clearly said they were a gift and then you guys say we don't know if they're Burlington merchandise I pointed at the package and it said Burlington and they still said they couldn't do it, I would of paid the difference but cause refused. I have never gotten worse customer service. I ordered 2 leather jackets online. A week and a half later, I received 1 leather jacket (which was the wrong one), and a $5 ninja turtle toy. I tried to reach out to the customer service department for online orders, and there was no phone number or email address. I could only submit a contact form. I did that and got no response. 3 days later, I tried to call the store to see if they could fix the problem. I talked to a manager, and he had no interest in helping me at all. He basically told me that the online store and the store locations are separate entities and there was nothing he could do, even though right on the website it says that you can return your merchandise to the store. Anyways, he gave me a number that I could call for customer service. I called and talked to a girl named Vicki. I explained my situation and she told me that I could in fact take my merchandise to the store and they could issue my full refund. The only problem I saw was that I was asking for my full refund (about $50) and I was only sent merchandise that added up to $35. She said it wouldn't be an issue and they could call the number back if they couldn't figure out how to process the refund. The next day, I went to the store and once again explained what happened. One of the cashiers there clearly knew how to refund an online order, which irritated me even more considering the manager I spoke to over the phone told me it was not possible. When I explained that what I was returning was different than the items on the receipt, she called the manager over. He came over and as I was barely finishing explaining (once again) my problem, he told me the best he could do was give me store credit for the items I was bringing in to return, which was $15 less than what I actually paid. He had no desire to listen to what I had to say and was basically repeating the same thing over and over again. I told him to call the customer service department and he just told me they were closed so he couldn't, and was unable to process my return. I know for a fact that he could, but he just didn't want to bother. I would have accepted the store credit, if he were willing to give me the full amount that I paid, but he wouldn't even do that! Now, because of Ben, I will never shop at another Burlington Coat Factory again. He lost a customer over a matter of $15, good job. After I left the store, I called the customer service line back, and it took me 5 days to get a hold of anyone! I kept getting transferred, and was told to leave messages, and getting voicemail, etc. I couldn't get a single person to help me! Finally I got through to Vicki, the same person who told me I could return the item in the store. I told her what happened and she was apologizing, and she said they just didn't know how to do it. Obviously Ben has no idea what he is doing, and has a lot to learn. Anyways, Vicki emailed me a return label and credited my card to accommodate me. She was the only person in the entire company who was willing to do her job and help a customer. Overall, Burlington could care less about their customers. I will not be shopping there again. read more

Burlington Coat Factory at 140 Orangefair Mall Fullerton California is a disaster. I bought a pair of shoes in January of 2016 that I felt would be comfortable for me at work since I stand up for 10 hours at work. When I wanted to wear the shoe after about 3 weeks of purchase I discovered that the upper left side of the lace hole of both pairs was defective. It was slit open so it could not hold a lace. I took it back to the store to exchange it with a functional one but the store female supervisor refused to accept it even though the tags were still there and the shoe was never worn. She even accused me of causing the defect which I presumed could be a factory defect. I was so frustrated that I left the shoe in the store and called corporate office. I was eventually asked to speak to the store manager, Brian who affirmed that they do not accept defective returns. Whao. Not only were Burlington staff rude but accusing a loyal customer of purposely destroying a $32.00 shoe is unfathomable and unethical. Burlington return policy is a disaster. The staff require training. Check carefully what you buy at Burlington Coat factory because you may end up with a defective item like the shoe I left behind. Honestly after the experience i had at this location today i would give zero stars but that not being an option ii can't. This store actually has good stuff and a wide section of things to offer for everyone that was not my problem my problem today was. My first thought is a weird guy was following me then i thought this guy was may buying a sweat shirt for his mother or girlfriend i don't know. I continued to make excuses and I noticed at this point that this guys vest said SECURITY on the back and i still continued to make excuses and my last thought was oh maybe this guy does drag and wants to see what shoes he wanted. I kept walking and looking as i kept noticing him in each area i was in the store, so at this point realizing i am the only colored person in this store and the security keeps looking at me and keeps following me i was a starting to get upset and i tried to ignore it concidering my mother was looking at stuff then was in the travel area, along with the travel pillows and suit cases and noticed this security looking at me and in the same isle as me AGAIN!!!! So now i was really upset but being i searched 7 stores for a coat and it would be at the one store that i experienced racism i went through buying it trying not to be upset and i noticed as i was going through the line the security guard was walking up and now sitting in his little area as i was leaving the store. I told the cashier of my horrible experience, my mother tried to convince me to go talk to the manager and i refused. Honestly i am so glad that i actually just called because the manager was the biggest jerk no care for customers and had horrible business ethics at that. Telling me i was being offensive for claiming that his employee was being racist towards me and he was doing his job following me! As the manager began to raise his voice at me telling me i can return the stuff if i want i started to explain to him basic business things and how this is not how you treat customers and that i comprehend that people are racist but if you are racist then you should not work in a community where all nationalities walk through anyways this ended in my mother taking the phone away from me and giving him a piece of her mind as her continued to try and convince her racism was okay .. Anyways i guess if you are not black or mixed with black go here and you'll be treated okay. I may also say the cashiers where very polite . read more
