I had a very disappointing experience at the Burlington in Fullerton. About 10 minutes before closing, an employee named Jocelyn told me to "shut the F up" and "get the F out of here." I was shocked that an employee would speak to a customer in such a disrespectful and unprofessional manner. I immediately brought the incident to the attention of the supervisor, Ruben, who heard exactly what was said. His only response was that he would speak to the manager the following day. While I appreciate that he acknowledged the incident, I expected much more given the seriousness of the situation. No customer should ever be treated this way. Employees who speak to customers with that level of disrespect should not be representing Burlington. I hope the store's management takes this complaint seriously, addresses the behavior appropriately, and ensures no other customer has to go through a similar experience. read more

The store itself is great, and the employees are friendly and seem nice. However, the management and leads are a different story. I witnessed them speaking to employees in a very hostile and unprofessional manner, talking down to them as if they were children. It creates a toxic and uncomfortable work environment. This kind of behavior is exactly why people don't stay at jobs like these. Management needs to do better and treat their employees with respect and dignity. Ok so I just left there an hour ago and I did, in fact , find some amazing deals. However, when I got to the register the cashier says to me that the red clearance tag marking my item down from $12.99 to $9.99 was in error and then she implied that I had put the red mark down sticker on the red pants to save a mere $3. I told her that that's not a mistake because there's another one exactly like it with the same sticker which would have made it $3 less. She sent some employee to find it and even though there were multiple with the same savings, she refused to mark it down to save me $3. Instead she removed both of the red mark down stickers from both items claiming it was a mistake. I told her-"it wasn't my mistake and I wanted that item at the price it was marked- the short Spanish speaking girl that acted as if she was the manager and simply didn't want to be proven wrong (which she absolutely was) for not honoring the price it was marked and then after she was presented with the others that had the same sticker , she continued to remove the red stickers instead of giving me the item at the $3 dollars off price. It was closing time and I didn't have the energy to make a big deal over a mere $3 but it festered in my mind and that's why I will be back probably returning all of the $126 worth of items that I bought just before closing time on the Fifth of Feb. You know who you are. I thought for sure I found the most penny pinching employee Burlington has ever hired. I'm positive it was you who went on the PA system asking loss prevention to check in the dept where I was. I may look like a thief to you young lady but I assure you, if I was going to steal something from Burlington it would certainly be more than $3. My only problem was towards the end of my visit my experience at the checkout was not that great. Grumpy manager for some reason? I found the only chair that was in stock, but it had a defect mark. I brought it up to the register cashier and she ask her manager if a small discount can apply. I can hear the manager name Rebecca yelling "it's not my fault it's the manufacturer's problem!" I am so confused why she would think I blamed her and kind of customer service is that. Either way that those kind of items would be discounted if there is a defect. I have worked in retail before and if there is an issue that can be solve, then solve it. Not the first time shopping at this store and every time I have gone its been a bad experience. The store itself is not so bad has a good selection of clothing and items. The customer service on the other hand is terrible. There was a long line and they called for more cashiers and I was charged by cashier Jelena. She seemed very annoyed as if not wanting to work or help out with the line. This is not the first time I have had this type of interaction with this cashier. Previous time I wanted to do a return but had forgot my receipt but payed with cash. She didn't even want to accept my return it had tags too not even store credit nothing. I had to go to a different burlington and they accepted it just fine. At first I had gave her the benefit of the doubt maybe she just wasn't having a good day. Now I see thats her overall attitude. If you go to this store just go for what you need and go. Keep in mind the service won't be great. One more thing too security takes there job way too seriously and they stereotype. Parking was a breeze, always freindly people to help if you have a question, some are a bit laxidazical at the counter at times. my advice, get your shopping cart, start in the craft/pic/decor section if you need anything for your house on the left. If you need bedding/linens straight ahead, if not skip right to coats and shoes. The variety is huge, you never know what may be there, I have been lucky enough to pay bargain basement for Stacy Adams wingtips. most likely, you will be able to find a dapper coat and hat. Finish your trip past the clothes and suit section and in the misc area. You can get stuff for working out, robe, electronics and chocolate and misc. Take one last look at your cart, your budget before checking out, I usually do, since I am not a rich hipster. read more

We were shopping today and my daughter had to use the restroom . An employee said restrooms are closed for customers. Went up front to ask manager and she said restrooms are closed and the manager won't allow them to open (Note: she was the manager). Lot of cheap merchandise. Most merchandise is not so good quality. But you can find some gems. Baby foods and baby products are great deals. They are often 30% cheaper. Some toys and kid books are super cheap as well. For sports apparel, I think Marshall's has better merchandise. The lines can be extremely long. Also, staff sometimes are extremely tired and annoyed. This is an amazing store with a huge selection if items. I have been to other stores, but I have found so many good items here. I want to point out that Noe is an amazing manager and did everything possible to give exceptional customer service. He helped me and my husband fix an issue and then explained what went wrong. He was calm and very nice in dealing with the problem we encountered. He took time out to assist me during a busy time. This store is very clean and the employees are very helpful. One of the biggest Burlington locations I have ever been to! ROws and rows of clothes, the selection is endless!!! No matter what you are looking for here, they will have it, but you really have to be patient and look. Sadly, this location is not following state guidelines to limit store capacity to 20%. When I approached a employee and asked how many people were in the store he told me there was 308 people in the store. He also said the stores Max cap is 380. That is well beyond the allowed 20% guideline for the state. They also do not enforce social distancing while herds of people are in a mile long line in the store to checkout. They should be fined for blatantly not following rules. read more

Mall is changing so corporate decided to face lift the store. 10 years ago Burlington only had good brand name merchandise. Now like Ross, you have to pick through crap, to find a name brand in women's clothing. Men's clothing is all brand names. Ontario Mills store has nicer selection. Huntington Beach is the best in orange county. I bought 400 coach shoes at Ontario store. Here there are candies, and other junk. But the shoes are perfectly organized, and not all over the store floor anymore. I wish they would step up, and get rid of the swap meet crap women's clothes. read more

I use to love Burlington Coat Factory. As a bigger guy, they had a wider selection of sizes. Although, it really depended on what city you were located in. Some were better than others. This one use to be great with size and selection. Now... they think size 44 is "Big and Tall". I thought that was more standard sizes. And if you do manage to sit there and sort through all the pants (cause they are all labeled wrong on the hanger, and placed in the wrong section), checking the actual tags per pants, anything that might be over 48" is pretty ugly and unfashionable. I'm talking ugly browns, or poor bleach jobs to give a faded look. I have stopped by 6 times this last year. And it's always the same thing. So I'll just take my business else where. read more
