So I grab a casual shirt that fits my personality and go to pay and the cashier says you have a penny coming back to you. So I say I don't want penny and how did $20 kohl's cash get me a free shirt. The cashier explained that the shirt was on sale/marked down -$20 and -$10 if I made a purchase during a specific time period so my shirt ended up being free today, NICE.

It does have furniture, but considering that I saw cheaper things at the JCPenney at the mall that were on sale, not sure that this is a true outlet. They do have a lot of couches and tables, they have some bed frames, mattresses, but just note if you buy it, you have to figure out how to get it home. No delivery. The staff were not particularly helpful as they were stood in a circle talking to each other with lots of customers wandering about. I just had to read a "sold" tag to find out more about the no delivery policy. It may be worth a gander for some people, but I think a regular furniture store would offer the same things, same price, but also offer delivery.

We always thought the point of pick up was to save time, like it is at most places. Today, it was completely full and running over, and there were only 2 workers total. I'm not sure if it was just the situation, but from the get go it looked like they were taking their sweet time, walking slow and spending 5 plus minutes at a time inside and coming out with 2-3 bags for someone. I totally understand being understaffed, but when I went in there were no lines for self check out or for the regular check out lines. This is just bad management. I've found it a bit hard to get help on the makeup counters, with some counters being unmanned. I do feel like the staff odd a bit snobbish. Not so much when I am well dressed and carrying a Chanel bag, but when I was running in to grab something quick and dressed in sweats. Just a general feeling rather than at specific counters. So I do feel somewhat self conscious shopping here. There's an unseen dress code of sorts. Overall, clean, lots of space and easy experience.

The prices are expensive. It is supposed to be high-end, but the look of certain items look like they could be priced lower due to looking just as good as discount stores. The woman that manages the downstairs dresses department seemed nice at first asking how we are. However, it seemed she had an attitude. I don't like to say she did something for sure, as we don't know if she was just tired or didn't know she was coming off that way. However, we were standing in front of the dressing room. I was deciding whether or not to try the dress on and she again asked if we need anything. We said I was going to try the dress on and she said "in there" with a rude tone. Then, my boyfriend was going to come with me and she said "just her" with another monotone voice. She didn't smile at all during talking to us, even when she asked how we are doing. I hope for people in customer service to do their service of kindness and a smile.

Despite being a pretty new location for Burlington, the store is a mess. If TJ Maxx is too cluttered for you, do not come here as you'll have a panic attack at the way the shelves and racks are "organized." While I was able to find what I needed, it certainly was not easy given the way that things were arranged. Honestly, the only reason I am going three stars here is that the cashier who completed my purchase on the second visit was so wonderful. She was friendly and concerned about having a bag big enough for the art and we worked together to find a solution, I am so bummed that I do not have her name to add it to this review! Bottom line: If you are up for the challenge, there are some good things to find here but you do have to hunt a bit and dodge the clutter to get to it.

My first thought was that I accidentally walked into a St Vincent De Paul because that's how it looked, like the one on Hwy 100 next to the Walmart. This was definitely geared to women and children because the men's section was a small coroner of the store. The place looks like they buy anyone's inventory from where ever and then put it on the shelves. This is definitely a smalls store with even less sections than the St Vincent De Paul resale store. There is nothing big here like microwaves, furniture, Tvs etc. As a guy I'm not going to sift through all the clothes looking at the labels trying to find that designer item at a great price like a needle in the hay stack. I jumped into the men's coats rack just to look at a label and price tag to see what they had, $ 29 fake leather made in China. This place might have a place in retail but for men who know what they want and just want to get in and out this just doesn't work and will not be a place I will shop at. The thrift store model has its place, the thrift store and I have no problems with thrift stores but I'm not going to sift through a new merchandise store like a thrift store. I thought TJMaxx had higher prices. I get fun art supplies here too. They have art and knickknacks and home goods and toys too. Sometimes I'll get something else, but usually it's work clothes. I've also had fun picking up a cologne just based on the box, because it can't be sampled. I've liked it all!
