We're Kohls for the summer, like Demi Lovato…read more  This is obviously one of the preferred stores for suburban females, and Barbi loves coming here. Generally speaking, a lot of the customers here are females, and kind of like Target it's become very trendy and middle-class over the years. Prices aren't cheap but you can get discounts on fancy type things and mid-price things and they offer a hell of a ton of discounts and rewards for those who shop regularly and religiously, and I guess the problem is that the prices to begin with aren't usually great, but they're also not the worst. I've had good experiences with them and with their customer service especially.

My opinion on Kohl's is they aren't going to be around that much longer. Prices are seriously…read moreinflated. Check a name brand item for sale at Kohl's and then look elsewhere. You will see a huge mark up. So if you think you are getting a deal with a 30% off or even a 40% off coupon you aren't. Less items eligible for coupons. All of their patio furniture used to be eligble. Now, outdoor chaise lounges that used to be Sonoma brand and eligible are now advertised without any name and as "marketplace" items. I used to buy the lounges every year. Now they don't "qualify" for coupons. The store is never crowded even at Christmas. It's going downhill. This review isn't for any particular store, it's for Kohl's in general.

The Good: I've been looking for a particular piece of photographic equipment, and it turned out that Walmart had the device online and the best price I could find anywhere. It is not stocked instore, so I pulled the trigger and ordered it. The online ordering system is easy to use and was completed very quickly. The Bad: I could choose between pickup at a store, scheduled today, Friday. I could opt for home delivery, but that would be next Monday, over the weekend, eight days total time. The bad? I ordered the piece on Sunday, the delivery was promised to the store in five days. Compare that to a similar order I placed at the same time, with a superstore in New York. It arrived at my home on Wednesday, only three days. Walmart's time frame was frustrating, but I suppose that's part of the good price. The Amazing: I walked into Walmart and walked up to a tall, orange tower that almost reaches the ceiling. (I happen to know its nickname, but since it's a copyrighted name, I'll just call it Fred.) Fred has a smoked glass cover that slightly obscures a monitor screen. There is no one around. As you approach Fred, er, the tower, the smoked glass panel opens up and the screen welcomes you to Walmart. If you were sent a QR Code to your phone that identifies your order, Fred will scan it. I didn't have a Qr code but did have a confirmation number. Fred popped up a keyboard and I typed in my order code. After Fred had my code, I could hear some machinery running and in seconds, a light came on behind another smoked glass door. Voila! There was my package! The smoked glass door popped open and my order slid forward for me to take it. Overall rating: Price: Five stars. Ease of ordering online: Five stars. Time to delivery: Three stars. Ease of pickup: Five stars. Tower: Pretty cool!

The customer service was by far the best that I've ever received in Milwaukee from a Western store Store. This place is elfin' great…read more Man. It really is. --- A quick backstory for you: I grew up in the Falls (as you may have ascertained from my previous reviews), and these days, I'm not there much. Unless I'm headed to the folks' house, there's really no reason for me at all to be in Menomonee Falls. But when I go back, I get nostalgic like a mother trucker... both for the good and the bad. Enter: El Paso Western Gear, part of that whole good nostalgia A place of magic and wonder and also, it seemed just a touch scary when I was a kid. Pop's Frozen Custard lived two doors down in the same mini-mall, so many formative years were spent in said mini-mall. I remember, out of sheer curiosity, asking my parents if we could go to El Paso. "Can we can we CAN WE?!?" I'm sure they secretly rolled their eyes, wondering why in sam hill an 8 year old would want to check out a western-themed store. I digress. The walls? The floor? The ceiling? WOOD. And boots. So so many boots. And hats... cowboy hats, of course. Belt buckles and flannels and button ups with pearl snaps and fringes a la the Grand Old Opry in its heyday, and boy howdy! This place? The real. freakin'. deal. But wait! What's that over there? What's in that glass case? A snake. A huge, gross, disgusting snake. My tiny eyes did not believe. Then, Sam Elliot himself (not really, but to 8-year old me he surely could've been) walked up and started telling me all about the his pet snake Gary or whatever. Scared shitless, I backed away slowly in wide-eyed horror. Then? THE WORST THING EVER. "Hey, little girl... so have you ever seen snake eggs?" "No! Eww! Why? Where?" (me, curious) "Right here, in this small pouch right here. Here! Take a peek... " You know the rest. If you don't, click this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hQ1izLqKko I screamed in terror. I ran. Then, the worst part! I had been DUPED! What an awful man! What an awful store! What an insult! --- These days, each time I walk past El Paso Western Gear (which, again isn't terribly often), I have to smile. Such fond memories of the strange store with the strange smells and that weird snake and that stupid trick. It reminds me that I was, in fact, once a kid. AND, this is a review, so... ***For those actually interested in knowing more about El Paso Western Gear? Go. They're chock full of fab gifts for the Western lover in your family/group of friends. Amazing leather boots, belts, ornate shirts, finely-crafted hats, Zippos, and more... both for men + women! And locally owned. So there.
