Our AC started acting strangely and started going in and out. Josh came out and spent time running diagnostics and did a thorough inspection along with maintenance to try and fix the problem. He warned us that it may be the thermostat and gave us a great run down of economic options. Once we confirmed a few days later that it was a thermostat problems, Jesus came out and was able to quickly replace it and helped us set up all the programming. My AC was 23 years old and no longer blowing cold air. My house is 50 years old and we did 2 additions so we needed larger airducts and a bigger unit. I got bids from several places and Burgeson's was cheaper than Goettl and comparable to other business. They took 2 full long days to complete my new larger AC system. John and Dave did an excellent job. They showed up on time and were very nice people. I had my small dogs in a room with water and I went to run errands and John saw they were out of water and refilled it. I thought that was very kind and considerate. I am very happy with the financing and my new AC is awesome. They made suggestions about how I could increase the airflow. They called me before making more vents to increase the airflow. I highly recommend Burgeson's. I did it through Costco and am getting money back from Costco and will be able to get some tax credits for updating old system. read more

I had this company do an estimate on a new install via COSTCO. We got charged $98 for this estimate. We called to reschedule that appointment we initially made and they sent a tech instead of an AC salesman. Why would they not check what kind of appt we had? A few months later we recieved an invoice for the estimate. My husband called and they said they would credit. A few months later and another invoice comes in. I called to have that credited since it was a mistake on their part to send us a tech. They said they would credit me but not before facing 2 unprofessional women. Genevieve was dismissive and rude. Not a good look Burgeson's. So you really need to nickle and dime your customers? Giving 2 stars because ultimately they say they will credit us. Will be updated to 1 if I get another bill. read more

I called the company early this morning because half of the lights in the house weren't working. They let me know that the diagnostic would be $99 and it would be applied to the work done. They were able to get someone in within the hour. Stefen came in and repaired everything within 20 minutes. I paid him $225 for the fix. I received the invoice via email and they did not deduct the $99 to the repair. I called the company to get this fixed and the company let me know that stefen does things differently and that she can give me another invoice with an additional $99 charge for the repair and that then it'll show the deduction of $99... making the total the same. I let her know that this could be very confusing to her customers and she repeated that stefen just does things this way. I definitely feel like I was bamboozled out of $99. This place gets the job done, but it is definitely not cheap. Ask questions before you book an appointment with them. read more

I recently purchased a 30 year old home that had its original HVAC system. I immediately knew I would be replacing it due to its condition. While I Costco, I signed up for a free consolation and Burgeson's is the company being used by the Ontario Costco. Rick Avila is the individual who arrived at my home. He was respectful and immediately put on shoe covers and wore a mask when he entered my home. His pricing was very clear and easy to understand. There was also an incentive in the form of a Costco card as well as money due to being an Executive Costco member. A Lennox unit was the product being sold which is a high quality system. Due to this being their slow time of year, multiple groups were able to completely replace my HVAC system in one day! This has been such an amazing investment. Had to get the ducting replaced in the middle of summer. Burgeson's installed my HVAC system so I called them for a quote. They gave me a great quote. I had a friend ask me why I didn't ask him about the company he used that only charged him $7k. Jose quoted me considerably less. Nate and Kela were an awesome team. They worked diligently and were extremely polite. They ran into several challenges but managed to work through everything and everything runs great. When we moved into our current house a number of years ago, we could see that Burgeson's had been servicing the heating and a/c for decades. So we continued to use them, having them come out twice a year to maintain the system. Once or twice over this time the a/c went out and they were able to fix it without any issues. Fast forward to September. The a/c goes out. The Burgeson's tech tells us that the compressor is grounded and that the whole system will need to be replaced. They sent out a sales rep the next day to provide an estimate and it came to $18k. Given the price, we decided to get a few more estimates. The next guy who comes out spends 10 minutes with our system and gets it up and running. It was just a blown fuse. He wasn't surprised when he heard what Burgeson's had done. The other estimates we've received to replace our (old but functional) system range from $12-14k. If we had trusted Burgeson's, my family would have been without a/c for two weeks waiting for a replacement system, including multiple days of 100+ temps. Thankfully, that didn't happen. It seems unlikely that a good technician would have confused a blown fuse for a grounded compressor; so either they hire crappy technicians or Burgeson's service division tolerates, or even encourages, unethical behavior. I've heard that their technicians receive commissions from sales, which would be consistent with this story. Furthermore, their cost estimate to replace our system was significantly higher than the other three estimates we received. I called Burgeson's and relayed this story to a very nice lady on the phone who assured me that the service manager would call me back. He never did, although I did receive a check in the mail refunding us for the unused balance on our maintenance contract. No note. No apology. Just a check. So, we will not be using Burgeson's any longer and cannot recommend them to anyone else. I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. read more

It's nice to be reminded of how kind some people are. I called Burgeson's on the Friday afternoon of labor day weekend with an urgent request to have a hand-held shower installed so I could care for my beloved dog who had just had surgery. They were about to close. Everyone was about to take off for the weekend, but the troops rallied! Cheryl got in touch with one of their plumbers, Adrian, who went out shopping to find a shower head, going to three different suppliers to find what I needed. This was above and beyond what anyone should expect. I get choked up, thinking about how these fellow humans went out of their way to help me with the care and comfort of my pup. I use Bergeson's for HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing. I had them replace the water pressure regulator over a year ago and then suddenly I began hearing the same groaning noise. They sent Shannon out the next day, free of charge, he adjusted the pressure PSI and discovered that the noise was a result of not using my bathtub (I've used it 1 time in 11 years as I'm a shower person). He turned it on to clear the air out of it and the noise went away. Boy did I feel stupid. The point is that they take care of their customers, they're honest, trust worthy, and provide services at a competitive price. I would definitely recommend using them! read more

Sad that I even have to leave a star. Burgeson's came out to fix 2 outlets in our house. On the invoice they said it was the entire house that didn't have power, that was not true. It was literally 3 outlets that didn't work. They tried exactly what we had tried already and that was checking our breaker box and made sure none of them were tripped. When they didn't find any that were tripped they went and looked for a 2nd breaker box around the house. Turns out, that 2nd panel was RIGHT NEXT the original box. He opened the 2nd breaker box and sure enough there was a tripped breaker. He turned it back to on and then slapped us with a $398. $398 to go around the house looking for a 2 breaker box and to click the tripped breaker back on. The price was never told to us before he fixed it. We would've went with a different company had we known how much this company charged. I would not recommend this company to family or friends. read more

They quoted me $900 for two hours to reconnect our kitchen faucet and drain, and fix a leaking faucet (plus another $95 trip fee). Parts were $70, so labor was $400/ hour. While they offered a 10% senior discount, I cannot imagine how $400/ hour is a fair price. read more

These nice folks came out gave me a quote for 3600 dollars to fix my air conditioner they charged me a 100 for that. I got a second quote from a smaller company and it was a 125.00 fix. Air works great now and I am not broke. I gave him a 50.00 tip! Do not trust this company they are now salesman for the air conditioning industry. read more

I wanted LED can lights installed in my living room and hallway and the incandescent lights in the kitchen switched to LED. Richy arrived on time for the estimate, gave me a reasonable estimate and was able to start right away. I live in an older home and the walls and ceiling are lath and plaster which made cutting into the ceiling more challenging than drywall and the studs in some places were right where the lights needed to go. Richy called the shop and thinner lights were brought right away. He finished the job, repaired the plaster where needed, cleaned up the space and was done by midafternoon. First off, the customer service was outstanding! Very professional, personal, and empathetic.This is a 100% honest review of the technician himself that came to inspect our rooftop HVAC unit due to the unit not shutting off. I conducted a diagnosis of the unit myself prior to contacting Burgeson's and found the contactor to be fried.. I have a shoulder injury and settled to have someone else takle the task.That being said, not all technicians are what the company originally wanted to be represented as. This particular technician "Otto" stated that my compressor was "grounded" and quoted me $3,800 to replace the compressor with a one year warranty and HIGHLY recommended an entirely new unit for $12,000 with a ten year warranty! I was in a state of worry at the moment but came to after he left. My braker NEVER tripped so how could it be grounded?? The next morning I checked the resistance on the compressor myself and everything checked out. So I replaced the contactor and old wiring. I am now sitti8ng in my livingroom at a pleasant 75°F with the unit running perfectly fine for $230 in parts and tools. Is my shoulder KILLING me?? Of course! But to me it was much worth the work that I should have just done in the first place. Please be weary and do some research, I paid $99 to have somebody come out to tell me a line of BS and tried to sell me something. I hope this isn't the companies policy to "screw the customer" but if it is... I will NEVER EVER contact this company ever again in my lifetime! If you aren't a DIY type of person then I guess this would be an ok company to use due to service and presentation, but keep in mind, in my case, the technician had absolutely ZERO consideration to the customer. I will be contacting a manager on Monday and go as high as I can go beyond that to make sure this doesn't happen to someone else. ***Update 10/05/2020*** I was contacted by a manager of this company who was very concerned about my recent experience, I assume they saw my yelp review. I explained to him what happened and he was very apologetic. He stated that is not how they do business and assured me that this situation would be taken care of and that he will refund my fee for the "service". I will update my review when refund is issued. Update to my review. * The AC unit that I have was installed in 2008, with a five year parts warranty. The same unit started receiving a ten year warranty in 2009. So, when I called Leonx to confirm what the tech said, they told me it was a ten year warranty; this was incorrect. * That said, the warranty follows the serial number and the property address, it's not specific to the original purchaser. Unless the original purchaser bought an extended warranty...this is voided if the owner moves. * I called Leonx two times and was given incorrect information, but Burgeson's had a Leonx field rep call me on their own and explained everything to me. * A little bit of misinformation on all three parties sides. read more

The install team of Ken and Balthazar spent several days from morning to evening covering all the details of the install in a professional, respectful manner. They protected the floors and doorways with coverings and discussed steps of the install process along the way with explaining the system and improvements we will see from the ancient beast that was well over 20 years old. We purchased through Costco and used the Hero program. We may have paided a little more but service and quality installation is so important from a company with a good long standing history. I highly recommend Burgeson's Heating and Air. I originally went with Aloha heating and air in Calimesa and they did me wrong. Burgeson's came out shared pictures of the disaster that Aloha left me with. Burgeson's explained everything that was done or not done and what they were going to do to correct the problem. It costed me double the amount to take out Aloha's mess and put all new stuff in attic. Agung, Sai and David G wete polite, professional and took time fixing the problem. I want to begin by saying that Burgeson's employees are incredible. From the people I speak to on the phone to the technicians that have come to my house, everyone is extremely professional and friendly. The quality of the work they do is outstanding. However, I think the prices are too high. I just had a water heater replaced and was charged almost $3000 for a 30 gallon tank. I also had to have a special valve installed because the water heater is inside the house. Looking online, I saw that the water heater had a high range of $1500. I'm not sure that a 100% upcharge is warranted for the water heater. I'm grateful to have a water heater that I can rely on for the next 10 years, but I do want to say that paying $4000 seems a bit excessive. This includes almost $900 for "repair quoted by tech" and $230 to replace the stem on a hot water faucet in the bathroom. I do want to repeat as I close out my review that this is a very good company as far as all of their employees and the service are concerned. read more

Josh was very kind and professional and was able to diagnose and fix our AC. We had a complicated problem with 3 different components that needed to be fixed in stages. One thing I really appreciate is that Burgeson's seems to prioritizes customers who have a nonfunctional AC over those who have a working AC with a minor problem. During the repair process (multiple stages) they rescheduled with someone else to prioritize us who had a nonfunctional AC and then later when ours was working but still needed a minor repair they rescheduled with us to prioritize someone else with a nonfunctional unit. To me this seems to indicate that they are both practical and compassionate. During the diagnostic and repair process I was able to stand with Josh and he was kind enough to show me all the components and thoroughly explain his recommendations and actions. When it was time to pay he explained the pricing and was able to bundled the components and repairs in an advantageous way for us. I appreciated that he brought disposable shoe covers with him to cover his shoes when he entered our place. Burgeson's seems to take customer service seriously and, while I obviously can't vouch for every technician, Josh was a class act. read more

They finally returned my phone call, about half an hour later, and they COULD NOT SUPPLY A VACCINATED ELECTRICIAN because they don't keep that kind of information. Shame on you. We'll go somewhere else. OK, so after this posted Burgeson's did get back to me and assured me they did have a policy in place to supply vaccinated technicians when requested. We needed a new A/C unit as ours was nearing the end and we have been running it ragged for thr last 7 years in the summer. We were walking out of Costco and saw the kiosk and decided to have Burgesons come out and take a look at our unit. Nate was awesome and very polite, was amazing with my very social 5 year old, and made us feel very comfortable choosing to go with a family owned company. It took us about 2 months to be able to schedule the install due to waiting for an equity loan to go through and he was very patient with us through it and once we had it we sat down and signed. We had the install scheduled that day for 2 weeks later. When the day arrived to install the workers were great. They were understanding of my dog situation (fear aggression dog) and worked with me when they needed to access where my dogs were stationed. They worked hard to install my new unit and ducting and were champs about it. They also dealt with my very social daughter and laughed at my very nerdy jokes . They were extremely polite and got the job done in 2 days. The Costco incentives were what drew us in to use Bergesons, we ultimately went with them because of their excellent customer service. Plus supporting a family owned business is important and they've been in service this long for a reason. I would recommend them to anyone. Our FedEx delivery guy came by during their install and he spoke highly of them as well, so you know this company is top notch.
