Our Kitchen sink was plugged up. After a 40 hours of no electricity (due to a PSPS wind event) I called Burgeson's to respond and have a look see at my clog incident. Wade arrived and looked at the sink, Wade wanted to have a look at the trap to see how extensive the clog was. Wade took the drain and trap apart. With each step he took he cleaned up after himself. He determined the clog to be in the plumbing at the sink and the pipes into the wall which required Wade to have to snake the pipes. Wade snaked approx 15-20' into the wall. He snaked both the drop & the drain pipes all the way to the laundry room 15-20' down the drain. Wade flushed the drain and put everything back together. Wade was very clean, & meticulously cleaned everything up. The charge was very reasonable. I give Burgeson's very high marks and recommend them highly for their outstanding work. He completed the work and showed me how the water heater worked in the event I needed to restart it again. The work area was left clean. We live in Running Springs, where it can be difficult to get home repair services. Our A/C was not cooling and we called Burgeson's because of their good Yelp ratings. We were not disappointed! Burgeson's technician, Thomas, arrived within the scheduled appointment time. He was courteous and always put shoe covers on when he entered our house (about 25 times!). Burgeson's charges by the job, not the hours it takes to fix problems. Good thing for us because Thomas was here for 5 hours diligently diagnosing and repairing our system. It turned out our 8-year old Nest thermostat was malfunctioning intermittently and our A/C was 20% low on Freon. We are very happy with the results and won't hesitate to use them in the future. My furnace is old (1990), and last winter became a bit dodgy. With the first cold snap of the year, it died altogether. I called Burgeson's, and despite being in a mountain community, I had a next-day appointment. Frequent text messages to me to keep me updated and confirmed, and when the technician (Gary) showed up, he observed Covid protocols, was polite and genial and professional, and had my heat on within an hour. I ended up paying a lot less than I feared (although with a repaired 1990 furnace, judgement day is coming). I would absolutely recommend Burgeson's. read more

I'm disappointed with how Burgeson handled my clogged kitchen sink. I've used them in the past a couple of times and they were good, but this time not. First, the tech didn't even check the trap under the sink (where there was a leak) and just went straight to lining the drainage through a clean out on the outside wall. Second, their charge structure is very misleading - over the phone they say there's a trip charge of $109. I interpreted that as a minimum charge, but no, it's $109 to get them to drive to your place and then the fix is above and beyond that! So a simple drain clearing ended up costing me $289!! I would have appreciated knowing that more clearly up front when I made the first call because there are better options! I was surprised because I had two more complicated bathroom line clearings within the last year and a half with no such separate 'trip charge'. Our AC unit fan quit on us this week. We called Burgeson's being they installed our AC unit some years back. Being a returned customer, we got an appointment right away. Our technician was friendly & efficient. Burgeson's charged us a diagnostic fee, parts & labor. I only wish the diagnostic fee was waived if we had it serviced. Most companies will waive that fee off the total invoice. If we did not get it serviced then yes, we would be responsible for the diagnostic fee. My family and I purchased our forever home last year and noticed that we kept sneezing and having frequent allergies and our electricity bill was INSANE. Turns out, the HVAC duct work was disconnected in some areas, dirty and OLD (as in installed back in the 80s when the house was built). This meant our unit was working extra hard just to cool/heat our home, which explains the $$$ electricity bill. We did a few quotes in the area to see how much this job would cost, being that we were new homeowners, we honestly did not know how much this project would cost. The ranges of prices we got were EXTREME but when we met and consulted with Randy Young, we knew we had the company that would not only give us a reasonable quote, but also high quality and honest work. Randy inspected our duct work, shared his findings and recommendations. Also gave us our price quote on the spot. He was friendly, professional, on time to our appointment and courteous of our safety with wearing a mask, shoe booties (we have little kids that crawl around) and keeping a safe distance. I was also appreciative that before he brought out his ladder to get up to our attic, he laid out a protective covering on our floor, something the other companies that came out never did. Scheduling our install was a breeze. They had openings a week out. Joshua Moses and his installation team arrived at 9am for the install. They were friendly and professional from start to finish. I also appreciated that they were wearing masks and shoe coverings while they were inside our home. It took them the entire day to do the job and we were quite impressed at how quick, clean and professional they were with their work. We also had them install a MERV 16 air filter in our HVAC unit, which will definitely give us more a peace of mind when it comes to breathing in clean and fresh air in our new home. It's been 2 weeks since our new ducts were installed and there's definitely a HUGE difference in air quality and how quick our rooms are getting cooled. Even though I'm far outside of their service area, they came out expediently, and assessed our home to determine a quote. We moved ahead with the installation, and I cannot say enough good things about the employees and service with this company. The generator was up and running in 4 days, and the gentlemen who installed it took the time to explain how everything works. They even did several extra jobs for me at no charge. Life Savers! Thank you so much to burgesons for fixing my heat. My husband and I had just come home from for a week. We came home around 4 PM in the afternoon and it was so cold in our house because our heater was not working. We called the Burgesons and they sent somebody out within an hour and had it fixed within 20 to 30 minutes. The service tech was very clean-cut and polite. He answered all of my questions and even called for a follow up to make sure everything was ok the following day. They recently added an electrician to their team, and he is amazing! My neighbor has an old Redlands home and the electricians were able to rewire everything. They are a very fair company and do not overcharge. A tad expensive, yes, but always professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and effective. Their annual or semi-annual heating & A/C maintenance service is highly recommended; we rarely need repairs as a result. In our current home for 20+ years and have only had one unexpected outage of our heater and never for A/C.
