Don't Call It a Cuban. Sincerely, a Cuban…read more There is a sacred alchemy to a real Sándwich Cubano. It requires crisp, lard-baked Cuban bread pressed paper-thin a la plancha until the crust crackles. It requires yellow mustard to cut the fat, sharp pickles for acid, and molten Swiss cheese acting as the crucial binding agent between roast pork and ham. It is a precise, beautiful piece of culinary history. What was served to me here is an absolute crime against my heritage. Look at this plate: soft, pillow-like Hawaiian rolls stuffed with shredded pork, leafy greens, and a thin vinaigrette. It hasn't seen the heat of a press in its entire existence. There is no mustard, no pickles, no ham, and not a single drop of melted Swiss cheese binding anything together. This is not a Cuban sandwich. It is a pulled pork slider on a dinner roll. And it would have been a pretty decent one on that merit. However, slapping the name "Cuban" on a Southern pulled pork slider because someone threw pulled pork on a bun is lazy, dishonest, and insulting to the culture it claims to represent. Call it what it actually is on the menu, you are ruining what some people will think is an actual Cuban. Or... maybe hire a Cuban and learn how to make the real thing. A four paragraph AI response? Look. There is a stool in Havana, or Tampa, or a fluorescent-lit ventanita in Hialeah at two in the morning, where a man who has done this ten thousand times takes bread baked with lard that morning, lays it open, and builds something with no wasted motion. Mustard. Pickle. Ham. Pork. Swiss. He puts it under a press that has been hot since 1961 and he leans on it. The crust goes to glass. The cheese surrenders. You get it in butcher paper and you eat it standing up, maybe with a few fried ripe plantains (not kettle chips) and you don't talk for ninety seconds. That sandwich is not a concept. It is not an interpretation. It is not an exploration of a broader range of anything. It is years of exile, hunger, cigar smoke, and stubborn people refusing to forget what home tasted like, compressed under a hot iron into something you can hold in one hand. What you served me is a pulled pork slider with fruit on it. And look -- I ate it. For what it was, it was good. Smoked pork, mango, mint, pickled onion, a soft milk bun: that's a nice sandwich on a summer afternoon and I don't begrudge anybody a nice sandwich. But you didn't have the nerve to sell it on its own merits. You reached across an ocean, took a word that people bled for, and stapled it to the front for the traffic. Call it Mojo Pulled Pork. Call it Caribbean Gold. Call it anything true. The sandwich is alright it's a 6.25. It's the word from a culture that's stolen. A real Cuban mixto would beat down this sandwich with a 1st bite knockout.

A few years ago I would claim to be one of Burgerville's biggest fan, however unfortunately my opinion of them has changed for the worst. Burgerville used to be a place that you could get great quality food in a fast food setting. Being locally based out of Vancouver/ Portland area I would go out of my way to choose to support them. I would say over the last 3 years or so their food and their facilities have taken a significant decline. Their quality of food used to be excellent. I have heard from multiple people they used to love Burgerville's quality and taste of their food. Not sure if they change their suppliers or what in the last couple of years, but the quality of their meat and other items has drastically decreased and now is comparable to the level of McDonalds, but at a premium price. I live just up the street from their location on Stark in Gresham and would frequently on nice days come to this location to eat lunch on their patio. This used to be another reason I liked Burgerville is the level of cleanliness and effort they would put in on their inside and outside of their building. Nothing like eat lunch on a warm sunny day on a clean patio. Many competing restaurants also offer outside, but usually neglect in keeping the patio clean. This is also something has gone to the wayside for Burgerville. Again over the last 3 years or so, this is something this location has neglected to take care of. I would once say this is only restaurant that would actually power wash their outside of their building and patio. Driving home from work, I would see their crew outside at like 1 in the morning on a regular basis, which shows dedication. Now their patio is covered in green slime, moss, food stains and is in general gross. I went there the other day when it was nice out for lunch and it looks like they have cleaned it in years which brings down the experience. Recap: Pros: I have been eating at Burgerville for many years and have always had a pleasant experience in dealing with the staff. Cons: Quality of food has drastically declined and cleanliness inside and out has declined. Cost of food keeps going up and quality keeps going down. read more

Add a teaspoon of Miracle-Whip based relish to top bun, and again, do not spread it. 6. Place a single, thinly sliced pickle on top of beef flake. 7. Secure top bun. 8. This place is going downhill and is being managed incompetently. I don't mind paying more, or a little extra wait, for a quality product, but the drive-thru waits (early afternoons...really?) have become truly epic. I routinely have to ask not only for condiments, but sometimes for napkins. A sad state for what used to be a nice stop; fortunately, there's lots of competition. read more

I ordered the cool wrap combination and it was perfect for me. I read one review of this item where the person was disappointed that it wasn't hot chicken, but a very clearly is called a cool wrap so it tells you that the chicken is cold and it's very refreshing like a salad. Instead of the higher calorie dressing that comes on it, I opted for the fat-free honey mustard. One thing I wish was different is that they put the sauce right on the wrap because it was quite a challenge to open it up put the spread on it and then essentially remake it. I found there was more of the wrap than I needed so I just ate most of the contents out of it, but the rapid itself was tasty. Because I saved calories on the wrap and on the dressing, I went ahead and had the waffle cut fries and man, those are good! Really generous sized order and very fresh and delicious. I wanted an Arnold Palmer and was very impressed that they gave me so many different ordering options, such as using sweet tea or diet lemonade. I wanted unsweetened tea but regular lemonade and they had that too. This location has a kids play area, maybe they all do, I haven't been to many, but I was very impressed with the area that is set aside for kids to plan. I also liked the fact that you can order from your table using the app and they'll bring it out to you. What I did not care for is that there are no regular parking spaces in front of the location. You have to go up on the terrorist part of the parking lot because the spaces in front are reserved for a drive-through, handicapped, and curbside pick up only. Very busy place with tons of people in line for the drive-through, but they seem to be moving people through pretty quickly. Overall, an excellent five star experience.

Plus, added some chicken nuggets to try with some sauces. Everything came to our table quickly, served hot, and delivered by 2 very friendly servers. Everything was delicious! The chicken is hot, juicy and tasted great. The fries are seasoned great and the nuggets are well above the standard. The blasphemous part, I don't like chick-fil-a sauce. It just wasn't good! The honey mustard was so much better. The menu prices are very reasonable for the quality for chicken being served.
