The food is great, the workers clearly like their job because they are very kind and have never gotten my order wrong. My family has long trips to the other side of my state and we always go to Burgerville for a quick but good lunch. They are quick in making their food so you don have to sit in the drive thru for too long and rush hour is quicker than anywhere else I have seen! Hubby decided he wanted Burgerville for dinner tonight for Father's Day. So I ordered thru DoorDash and they had a 50% off coupon if I picked up. I have always done drive thru with Burgerville so I thought for 50% off, why not see how it works. So we order the Chicken and Chips and a Hazelnut shake for my Husband, Crispy Halibut Sandwich, fries and a Portland Cold Brew Shake for me. We had other plans for our kids dinner. So, I drove to Burgerville and parked in the mobile pick up order stall and it said to text or mark I"m here in their app, which I also have. But since it was Door Dash I texted them saying I'm here and screen shot my order and told them the number stall I was in. Not even 5 minutes later a woman walked up with my order, asked me my name and handed me my food. Super fast service! Came home and Hubby and I both loved our food and loved our shakes as per usual. Finally a good fast food restaurant in the middle of a sea of shit places on 9th. Straight across from the McDonald's too, which I hope finds it customer base shrinking due to its presence. I went today to check it out. And it was what I expected from a Burgerville; quality ingredients and service for a price that may be a bit more than those golden arches but is head and shoulder above them in value. The bacon is real bacon, not that shitty food service stuff that makes your belches taste like a presto log. And the lettuce, oh the lettuce. Most places give you that crunchy white second rate bullshit, but not here; the lettuce is a green as a leprechauns' pubes. And the chicken is a chunk of breaded chicken, not that weird puck of processed whatever than probably got squeezed out of a grinder. And the burgers, oh the burgers. Not a bunch of fancy crazy combos with everything out of the kitchen for toppings. Just plain, old fashioned meat on a bun. Maybe with cheese, maybe with bacon. No slatherings of pulled pork, jalapeno poppers, or other novelty junk like those other places desperate to get the money of stoned males age 18-30. Just the basics. It feels quite strange to be leaving a 5 star review for a fast food restaurant, but here it is! I am always surprised when a fast food place has decent customer service, and I never expect great customer service. But this particular Burgerville location has it! The employees all seem to enjoy their job and they are absolutely efficient. It's impressive. Not only are they friendly and helpful, they listen to your requests and make them happen. There is no smiling and nodding here. Their food is delicious. The peppered bacon cheeseburger is my absolute favorite and go-to there. I always order mine with extra pickles, and it actually comes with extra pickles. Most places put one or two more on the sandwich, to where you question if it's actually extra. Here, it's obvious they actually listened to my request. The bacon is heaven on a sandwich. It's thick cut, not fatty, and cooked to perfection. It's that perfect line between soft and crispy, without being overdone or burnt. They use Tillamook cheddar, which is the only brand I use at home, so that gets high marks in itself. They have quite a selection, including vegetarian burger patties, fish, salads and milkshakes and even breakfast. I enjoy the triple berry shake, and I know my mother enjoys the fish and chips, Which, I would not expect to get decent fish and chips from a fast food restaurant, but it is actually a good sized portion, not overdone or anything. It was good. I had a bite myself simply because I didn't believe her when she said it was good. I never would recommend using the drive-thru. The lines are seriously long! I find it much easier and faster to go inside, and when the weather is nice, I like eating outside in the sun. I've never used the drive-thru personally, so I have no real opinion on if it's any different that the customer service inside, but I wouldn't tempt it with the line size. It is definitely a favorite go-to burger restaurant for my family, and as long as the quality and customer service remain the same, it is a place we will keep returning to whenever we are in the area. read more

So here's my take on my $8.00 lunch; the Burgerville Classic Cheese signature burger. The bun was smashed, the cheese was unmelted, and the lettuce looked like an afterthought half off the bun, one wilted brown edged leaf of anemic iceberg lettuce. Fries were excellent, and the carton of milk was, well... white and wet. Bottom line, contrary to their mission statement, I don't feel my food was served or prepared "with love". How "local" can iceberg lettuce be this time of year anyway? Frankly, i'm not buying into their Burgerville hype. Its just another burger folks, no more, no less. I hate to be a hard grader... but *** in yelp means A-OK and that means (to me) above average. Frankly, I've had better in their class of restaurant. I really enjoyed the crispy chicken deluxe sandwich (with BBQ sauce, Tillamook cheddar, bacon, and lettuce, on a wheat bun). The sweet potato fries could have had a bit more flavor, but I guess less salt is healthier. The pumpkin shake was delicious! It tasted way more like real pumpkin than the Jack in the Box ones and less fattening (this could just be a dangerous self-delusion though). But they are actually made with real, local pumpkin. Burgerville is now my favorite fast food chain. Definitely more expensive than other fast food, but it tastes so fresh and not fake/super processed. I love how they use Tillamook cheese and other local products and how their packaging is recycled and compostable. They have a variety of appealing options too... definitely want to try more next time I'm in Oregon! read more

I don't normally write reviews, but my experience with the food at this location was so aggravating that it would be wrong to not share it with those who are still on the fence about giving this place a try. Story time! My fiance and I stopped at the nearby Fred Meyer gas station on a Sunday night shortly before 6:00PM. As we pulled in, we saw a long drive-thru line wrapped around the side of a nearby building. The bright big sign on the side of this building highlighted what all of these cars were waiting for - Burgerville. This was my first time seeing this particular location but, after seeing several other Burgerville locations over the years, the jampacked line was enough to make me think, "huh, maybe this place is actually good." I decided to stop by and finally give it a try. I ordered a Colossal Burger and added pepper bacon. I figured I'd "upgrade" to a meal and got a regular basket of waffle fries and a soda. The fiance wasn't too hungry so she ordered a small strawberry milkshake. After damages the total came to $18.77 before tax and tip. At first I thought it was quite a hefty price tag for what could essentially be a fast food burger meal for one, but rationalized that perhaps it's more of a gourmet burger. Let's get the good parts out of the way first. As I mentioned there was quite the line at the drive thru, but luckily you can order online. The online ordering experience was simple and easy. I loaded up the website on my phone and selected the location. The food menu was easy to navigate, and various add-ons and customization options were given based on the food item selected. Once you've chosen your food, you have the option to select how you want to pick it up. Given the line at the drive thru, we opted for the curbside pickup. Upon parking, we were instructed to text them our name and curbside pickup stall number. Less than 10 minutes after I sent the text, a worker came out to our car, verified the name on the order, handed us our food, and we were on our way. The food itself, however, was a different story. The burger wasn't exactly small, but I wouldn't describe it as "Colossal" like they do. For comparison I'd say it's only slightly bigger than a Whopper. As for its taste, it was pretty generic. Standard beef patties, special sauce that, really, just tasted like 1000 island dressing, and an abundance of lettuce, all wrapped between two soggy buns. "Even with the pepper bacon," I thought, "there should be more flavor." Well, the reason the flavor of the pepper bacon was lacking was because there was no pepper bacon! $2.00 for two strips of bacon that were nowhere to be found. I'd like to say that the bacon would've helped, but let's be real. A decent burger wouldn't have to rely on bacon to make it good. To add insult to injury, the "basket" of waffle fries (which was an extra $4.49, mind you) came with a total of seven fries. "Seven", you say? Yes. Seven. I counted them. SEVEN waffle fries were thrown into the bag. I immediately imagined the worker, packing the fries in the bag, who thought, "yeah, that qualifies as a basket." Now I'm not claiming to be a basket expert. I don't know what the USDA standard of basket sizes for waffle fries is (I'd crack up if this was a real thing). However, if I hear "basket", I would think that I would be getting more than seven waffle fries. Seven. SEVEN. SEVEN! They were small, too! My goodness, I'm seething just thinking about it again. Not all of the food was terrible, if that's any consolation - my Sprite tasted like Sprite, and my fiance thought her milkshake was just okay. Anywho, my thought on giving this place 2-stars is because, at the end of the day, my overall experience with Burgerville wasn't the worst. The aforementioned ordering experience was great, turning a daunting drive-thru line into a very simple, quick, and painless process. The food came out relatively fast, and the worker who brought it was friendly. If you're only considering the overall food experience, though, I would've given it 1-star. I thought it was offensive, which is obviously not a good thing when you're looking at a food establishment. Even without consideration of the bacon and basket issues, the flavors alone weren't all that great. It wasn't inedible, but I wouldn't say it was decent, either. It's that weird in-between where I wouldn't say no to it if it were the only option, but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. Perhaps I would be willing to give it another try if everything wasn't so overpriced. They need to either up the quality of their food or lower their prices - the disparity between the two is staggering. If I've somehow kept your attention after reading all of this and you still decide to go and get a basket of waffle fries, please, PLEASE, make sure you check your bag thoroughly before driving away. The Burgerville chain headquartered in Vancouver, WA and with most of its branches in OR provides superior fast food and uses locally produced food as much as possible. It also features seasonal specials such as black berry shakes. The shakes and other fruit/berry drinks have the fruit or berries inside; they don't use syrups or other commercial flavorings. The burgers and other sandwiches are very good. This month I tried the Wallawalla sweet onion burger. The onions were caramelized--a great tasting sandwich! You pay extra, of course, for the food here since it is not the ordinary fast food chain. read more

And maybe once the whole Covid mess is over I'll be back, but not until then. Much to my surprise you can't phone in an order for curbside pickup! You have to set up a profile with them online and then order and pay online. They texted me trying to get me to install an app on my phone too, I declined, and was told that soon texting would no longer be an option and I would soon have to install the app to order. The drive thru is also open if you don't have a smart phone/don't want to install apps in order to just grab a bite to eat. But... No good old fashioned phone calls accepted. Trying it all in one stop is impossible. Had the kids fish and chips, Half Pound Colossal Cheeseburger, Side Salad, Rosemary Fries, Grilled Chicken Club Salad, and Berry Shake. I loved some of the ideas behind the Burgerville USA service and products. I love the green concept but it seems a little disconnected here. Lots of things were individually packaged. And they are using Helium balloons. Wha?!? This is a finite resource that has important uses. The food itself was good. It was nice to have good salad options, but Wendy's does this pretty well too. I did like the burger, but there was no discernible flavor difference than most fast food burgers I have had. I do know that the rosemary fries were the best freakin rosemary fries I have ever had. Many times the balance of rosemary is either too heavy or too light. These were perfect, and also on the proper sized thin shoestring fry. This review is of the Albany location, and I always dine inside at fast food joints. I'm in Albany often, and stopped in to compare the experience with Monmouth's Burgerville. Burgerville apparently does not standardize its buildings: this location has very limited parking and seating inside. I've never had to deal with attitude from Burgerville employees. My burger struck me as more elaborate than those made in Monmouth. This location is regularly slammed from noon to 1:30 and for all I know, at other times too. Muzak is intrusive. Totally satisfied with the food and personnel/customer behavior, but this is just a fuel stop, not a restaurant I would regularly patronize. read more

I have been to this restaurant many times over the years. They have good burgers, fries and shakes. The service is usually pretty good but the drive up has a tendency to get the orders wrong. It has been better as of late but it was so bad that it got the reputation as the "mystery window". Just be sure to double check the bag before you get home. This is the worst Burgerville I've been to. Teenage employees who don't care if they serve you promptly, and seem more interested in joking around and talking than doing their jobs. Food was ok, nothing to complain about there. But the dining room was FILTHY. I've never seen a dirtier floor in a fast food place. It was gross. Food on the floor, paper products, and so dirty I don't think it had been mopped in weeks. Napkins were a rare commodity - none were on the tables around us, we actually had to go outside to find a table with napkins on it. The bathroom had no A/C and wasn't ventilated - not pleasant in the summer. I guess I should be thankful it had toilet paper. read more

This is the worst Burgerville I have been to. The young employees were not trained in customer service, didn't clarify my order, I received 2 small pieces of fish and no chips. The manager gave me fries. The dining area was dirty, the women's bathroom didn't have paper towels, there was a leak in the ceiling and they had a pan on the table catching the drip. Outside you had to cross a large area of water that must have been coming off the roof. If you want a low priced, hot food, clean dining room, DO NOT COME TO THIS BURGERVILLE! When it comes to fast food, which I don't eat all that often, I am a total fan of Burgerville over its mainstream competitors for a couple of reasons: 1. Local, sustainable products and ingredients; 2. Regionally ownership; 3. Ingredients that tend to be natural, hormone free and basically healthier (you are what you eat); 4. Food that simply tastes better than McD's or BK's; and 5. Substantial and tasty vegetarian items. Generally I rock 4 stars for most B'ville locations I visit, simply because when it comes to fast food, they're better than other Oregon options. This location, however, left a little bit to be desired. We drove through on Friday afternoon of Labor Day weekend and ordered up a black bean burger basket with Walla Walla O-rings instead of fries and a deluxe chicken sandwich basket again with the O-rings. Simple enough, right? We got 2 O-rings and a veggie burger. Fortunately I checked before we got too far down the road, and were able to go back and score the Chix Dlx sando. Back in the car and headed south we pulled out the veg burger and found it to have a couple of extra helpings of Burgerville Sauce on it. Not just a bit of extra sauce, sauce everywhere.
