The burnt breading that fell out of the inside of an onion ring -- rock hard.
Linda A.

The burgers were great. We tried a Szechuan Black Angus Bacon Stack with Kimchi and a Cheeseburger with grilled onions. They were cooked perfectly and really delicious. The fries/onion rings not so great. Some of the breading on the onion rings was so hard you couldn't eat it. The inside of one came off all in one piece. Some of the fries were great, but some were super greasy & not very warm. It was odd having to wait for fries but there was great disparity in the degree of cooking. The staff was nice & apologetic. One gentleman said they definitely shouldn't be that way. Not all of the flavors of soda were working. The root beer was clear like the syrup hadn't been connected to the machine & there wasn't a large selection. The ordering was all via touchscreen and you get your drinks and go back to the counter to pick up your order. I don't think tipping is really appropriate when you do all the service yourself. The restaurant was clean. Next time I'd just order a burger and skip the fries & onions rings.

Lunch special

I walked into BurgerFi today as a new patriot, I've never tried their food. I came on my lunch break and went to the counter, ready to use the self-serving tablets. Instead I was interrupted by one of the workers Willie and he offered for him to take my order for me that alone really set the tone for my visit today he informed me about their lunch special, which is what I went with and that was definitely a great choice throughout my 40 minutes there it was a busy lunch, rush and the same gentleman. Willie was so helpful and kind very attentive to all of the customers brought out food to everybody's table and also helped me clear my table when leaving the food was good but his service was better 10 out of 10.

2 drink machines. 1 is broken and the other is out of ice. The condiment station is a DISASTER, water & trash everywhere. Standing water on the dining room floor & dirty tables everywhere (5 customers at the time). Burger, fries and a drink for $22 is steep yet they still ask you to tip? The burger was great but I couldn't eat the fries.

Good burger but the time of night I went I feel was not the best representation of the establishment. Slightly messy dining area. Staff was not as helpful with the automated ordering system. P.s. not a fan of that system. Burger was good, slightly thin patties but fries were delicious.

BEYOND BURGER

I stopped by here late on a Saturday night to pick up a burger before I went home. It was fairly busy with a flow of people coming in and out. Prior to this, I was only familiar with the town center location and I felt that it was hit or miss, so I wanted to give this location a try. There are a lack of burger places in the area, so I really had my fingers crossed that this location would be good! I ordered the beyond burger well done. I always get my burgers well done here since in my experience they have a tendency to undercook the burgers and I want to see ZERO pink. I waited about 20 minutes for my burger after placing a pick up order in the store. Wait time wasn't great, but not terrible. I could tell all the employees were doing their best. The place is large and has plenty of seating. My burger was super good! Cooked well done just how I like it, came out hot, exactly what I expected! Overall, I would definitely stop by here again.

$11 "burger bowl". Burnt 3 oz hockey puck on limp lettuce NO DRESSING SENT. Sad.

I have been here a couple times in person. It was ok. Not great, not terrible. Employees always seem ambivalent. Im not sure how they stay open, its usually empty in here. Today we ordered delivery. Burger bowl, $10.99 plus tax and tip etc, about $16 total. The lettuce was ok. some was fresh some wilted, some rotted. About 4 oz of lettuce. 4 1/2 slices of tomatoes. Greasy dripping Onion straws. 3 pickle slices. And the burger. 3 oz burnt beyond recognition. Im not sure how they get away with selling a 3oz burger. It is simply the size of a Burger King burger but with less flavor. Smashed to death on the flat top to eliminate any semblance of moisture. This is barely a burger and up there in the top 20% worst burgers I have ever received. The photo in the menu shows dressing but mine came with none. I could not eat this and my dog had to be encouraged to even eat the burger. What a waste of time and money and Im still hungry.

Look at the bun OMG

I went out FREEZING cold weather the website said CRAFT BEERS so I took an Uber and voila NO BEER AND NO ICE the fries were old and probably from the trash and refried burnt and limp the burger was so so and then I took an uber to get a beer and real food not recycled food I'm no fool but this location is a huge NO.

FRIES (REGULAR)

Food was good, fries were burnt and discolored because they obviously haven't changed their oil in ages. Service was okay but very dead inside. And onion rings were all batter, no onion.

In town for a business trip and decided we were going to grab some food to go and hang out at the hotel to get ready for the next day. We were going to grab a drive through but decided BurgerFi would be much better. The cashier was nice and everything seemed good. Heard the team member who may have been the manager tell one of the teams we going to need more patties on the grill and didn't think nothing of it other than how exciting my burger should be extra fresh lol Got back to the hotel hungry and ready to dive in only to find the burger was raw. I have had burgerfi before and it's never been this pink. Called the store for a refund and to hopefully warn them so they don't serve anymore like this no answer. As far as dinner I was so over it at that point. $50 down the drain.

Does anyone know if they have a chicken sandwich option? Their website doesn't show one, however, their nutritional information chart does. Trying to figure out a work lunch, but we've got a couple of non-beef eaters. Thanks!

They do not have a chicken sandwich here but they do have veggie burgers.

It's always a plus when the service matches the quality of the food, and he definitely made the experience even better. The brisket sandwich was excellent, full of flavor with that perfect smoky taste and really tender meat. You can tell it's done right. The pulled pork sandwich was just as impressive, juicy and packed with flavor in every bite. Both sandwiches were filling and hit the spot. The mac and cheese was great as well, creamy and rich and paired perfectly with the BBQ. It's one of those sides you don't think much about at first but end up finishing completely. Overall this place delivers on both food and service. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in Jacksonville and want some legit BBQ.

We were immediately impressed when we went in; lots of dark wood and a long bar with shelves and shelves of spirits. There were mostly bourbons and whiskeys. They even had a rolling ladder so bartenders could reach top-shelf bottles. We had about a 10 minute wait for a table on a Saturday for lunch. The time went by quickly and we were seated at a small wooden table. Our server, Erin, approached us quickly and took our drink orders. I ordered a Blue Moon and my husband had the WC Old-Fashioned. It was made with Evan Williams 1783 Bourbon and he said it was quite good. ($13). For food; I had the Rooster Royale which was a fried chicken sandwich with pickles and hot honey BBQ sauce. It was $16.50, and one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had! Even the bun was delicious! I'd planned on only eating half; but I ended up eating it all because it was so good. I also had the homemade chips which were yummy too. My husband had the Reuben which was $19. He said it was really tasty and full of meat. He commented that it didn't get "mushy" or fall apart. He had the crispy potatoes as his side and he raved about those too. We really enjoyed our meal at Whiskey Cake and would definitely return. The only drawback I can think of is that they don't seem to have very many healthy lo-cal options.

The menu, though short with options did have a creative variety. We all tried the cinnamon roll, which I have to say was beyond, and I do mean beyond outstanding. In fact, it was the best cinnamon roll I have ever had with the toasted pecans and the sauce. WOW!! I ended up with the pancakes and eggs, and the eggs were cooked perfectly! The pancakes were were thick and had good flavor. It was a little overcooked for what I prefer, but overall, it was very good. Looking at the other options of what friends were having the food looked amazing. I am not a bacon eater, but one of our table mates had a bacon dish that she said was phenomenal. I enjoyed the food; however, I think some details were missing or off for the price point. For example, the rib eye was requested for medium temp; however, it was medium rare and very chewy. The broiled ocean platter was kind of skimpy for the price point, and the shrimp & lobster diavolo were pretty good (though lobster wasn't very tender and slightly rubbery). I also wasn't given a pasta spoon- so had slight difficulty eating it. It took quite a while for us to get our food, approx 45 minutes? Our waitress was very kind and checked in- but forgot the lemons I had asked for- for the waters. We had inputted in our reservation request to not be in the center- and we were sat in the middle; though, 80% of the tables were empty. The duck fat corn bread was disappointing. It was an odd combination of flavors that did not mix very well. The corn bread was mushy and the crisp Napa cabbage with the random ranch/spicy sauce combo did not pair well and left my mouth feeling confused. I had high expectations for their house made pasta as they had a pasta maker out for viewing. The pasta was overcooked and every bite was an interesting mix of flavors...some bites salty...some bites unseasoned. Our visit to Biscottis in Jacksonville's Avondale neighborhood managed to do both. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and seated immediately, and the atmosphere had a welcoming energy that made the restaurant feel like a true neighborhood gathering place. Susan ordered the Quiche Lorraine, and after the first bite we both knew it was something special. The crust was delicate and buttery while the filling was rich and perfectly balanced. It was so impressive that we awarded it our Culinary Duo Best of the Best dish recognition, which is something we reserve for truly standout dishes. Peter went in a different direction and ordered the Sweet Potato Pancakes with house made white cheddar hash browns. The pancakes were flavorful and comforting, and the hash browns were crispy with bold cheddar flavor that made them impossible to stop eating. Another thing we appreciated was learning that Biscottis carries the Slow Food First Coast Snail of Approval, recognizing restaurants that support sustainable agriculture and local food traditions. The service throughout the visit was cheerful and attentive, and the staff seemed genuinely happy to be there. If you enjoy restaurants that combine great brunch dishes, incredible desserts, and a lively neighborhood atmosphere, Biscottis is definitely worth visiting.

Their french fries come drenched in a disgusting garlic oil and cheap grated parmesan. It's bad cooking dressed up to look fancy without any understanding of the basics. The restaurant fits as well. Its ugly artwork is accompanied by furniture that looks like it was ripped out of a Le Pain Quotidien. The cakes look amazing, and the bar is nicely designed and well stocked, but neither saves the drab surrealist-cafeteria vibe of this pretentious establishment.
