My go too truck wasn't nearby so I decide to try a related one. It was Friday and I was going meatless so I went for the falafel wrap. They were super busy so I waited longer than expected but was not disappointed. The falafel was flavored well and moist (hate an over cooked, dry falafel - so this was great!). Tried 904 Burgers at RAM today. It was a fine burger. I ordered the classic burger, it was cooked well and had a nice a soft bun. I was not a fan of the burger sauce which was reminiscent of thousand island dressing, which I personally do not like on burgers. They also paired the fries with the same sauce. Once I got home I saw the burger and wow it really is huge. I must have see two different menus cause one said Smash Patties and these were no Smash Patties. These were full size for sure. I will say that my burger was missing the onion ring. I did notice on their website it says "onion ring bacon" this was no comma so maybe it's something else entirely. Though there was for sure bacon on there and cooked just the way I like it. This was I believe the first and still only time I have had a hard time getting the whole burger in my mouth so good on you 904. Beside the onion ring debacle my main issue with the burger was the chili. I tasted like Hormel Chili or some other canned chili and it was very overpowering. I did enjoy my 904 fries but the serving size did seem small. That again could have been since it was next to that monster burger. I don't think I got smash burgers, but instead received a double burger (1 1/2 to 2 inches thick). It was not possible to take a bite so I halved it by having two open face burgers. The beef was seasoned very nicely and cooked perfectly. It came with fries which was great, but too salty for my taste. When I picked up my order I was offered a complimentary cup of lemonade of my choice. I accepted and asked for the peach lemonade. Wise choice because it paired very well with the burger. The patty itself didn't have any flavor. It was nicely cooked, not dry. The fries weren't anything special. I could see seasoning, but couldn't taste it. We have eaten a lot of burgers. 904 Burgers is owned by the same people who own the delicious Saffron food truck. Because of that, I was really excited to try 904 Burgers and honestly, who doesn't love a good burger? I ordered "The Boss" which has "2 smash patties, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, chipotle aioli, onion ring, bacon, and 904 chili." It's also served with fries. This burger was HUGE. In my mind I was thinking of smash patties as being the really thin, kind of crispy burgers, but my sandwich was 2 giant burgers that had to be at least 1/3 lb each. Definitely a beef lover's dream, but for me it was too much and I would love if there were a single patty option in the future. A couple things that are just personal taste for me - the bacon wasn't well done enough for me but I like really crispy bacon, I don't really like when it's kind of the chewy fat situation. There was also something on the burger that was a little sweet because I'm more of a savory person - maybe the chili? But those are totally just personal preferences. The burger overall was good, and with all the meat and side of fries, a good value for $13. I also ordered the side of chicken tenders. It is listed both on the kids menu but served with fries, and then as a side, where I'm assuming you get more tenders. It pains me to say this, but they were just not good. They were the very processed, frozen type chicken fingers and I just felt like not what you would expect when you're used to getting food as great as Saffron. And I'm not even totally against frozen food on the menu; my guess is the fries are too but they still taste good and I don't really mind that for fries. But these were just a hard pass for me, especially for $7. I know that kids are picky, but I would only have them on the kids menu and I would probably denote they are Tyson (or whatever brand) chicken fingers that pretty much only kids want to eat. The food was fair. I compare pricing to brick and mortar restaurants and unfortunately this doesnt stack up to Epic Burger or M Shack for pricing of 11-15$ a sandwich. They should price closer to five guys and even then you get more bang for your buck. The kids sliders and you get 1 were about the size of a Hawaiian roll. Kids are picky enough but the grilled chicken bites as an option should be removed for the standard fried chicken. I was expecting at least a nice big juicy possibly half pound burger for $15 . I will never purchase another burger from this truck again which was located in Osprey Point Community . Which I reside in . The bun was about 30% too large for the small little Burger they give you . Their marketing pictures are deceiving , and it left me hungry . I went to see if a food truck was in my neighborhood today.... Yeah, 904 Burgers were there. This was a new truck experience for me. The young lady taking orders was very nice and friendly. I ordered a Classic for my mom which was beef patty, mayo, mustard, ketchup, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese and pickles. She loved it. For me, I had a Spicy Latino which was 1/3 lb beef patty, leaf lettuce, habanero aioli, pepper jack cheese, and salsa. The favors worked really well together. Not spicy hot at all. The burger has that charbroiled flavor and not overly cooked. The fries that came with both were shoestring and nicely seasoned. They paired well with the burger. It is great to be able to walk from the house to a food truck. My neighborhood does this, normally, about once/month. Now, with Covid-19, it appears there may be one here almost everyday. I for one, hope that continues in the future. Really nice to be able to try different trucks day to day in the same location close to home. I hope this works well for the operators. Today was my first 904 Burger experience and it was excellent! They were in a super nice and beautifully decorated food truck. It looked more like an upscale outdoor kitchen . I ordered a burger and soda and tried their gyro - Absolutely delicious! Presentation and taste was seem less as though I were at a restaurant. The staff were so cool and friendly- smiling and joking. We came back after our outing (Riverside Arts Market and the Riverwalk hike to the MOSH across the river) and ordered fries and drinks - so good. I tried the veggie burger and I really didn't enjoy it. It was very soft and even though it was a veggie burger I felt like I was eating a raw beef patty. I've eaten a lot of veggie burgers but I had a really hard to eating this one because of the texture of the patty. My boyfriend got a regular burger and he enjoyed his. I would try this place again but I'd probably get a different vegetarian meal. Maybe some people enjoy those types of vegetarian patties but I think a black bean burger would be a really great vegetarian option to replace the one made with beets. read more
