This was a recommendation from the amazing owners at Sunflower Cabins! (Another amazing place!) We almost couldn't believe pizza this good existed in such a remote location! We ordered the Cowboy Ranch pizza and the Hawaiian with added jalapeños, and both were absolutely incredible. The wood-fired crust was perfectly crisp with just the right amount of chew, and every ingredient tasted fresh and high quality. The sweet and spicy combination on the Hawaiian with jalapeños was outstanding, and the Cowboy Ranch was packed with amazing flavor. And whatever you do, don't skip the homemade ranch--it's hands down some of the best ranch I've ever had and the perfect complement to the pizza. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a beautiful outdoor seating area where well-mannered dogs are welcome. If you're lucky, you might even catch some live music while you enjoy your meal, making the experience even more memorable. Whether you're spending the day on the river, hiking in the Trinity Alps, or simply passing through, this place is worth going out of your way for. Without a doubt, this is the best wood-fired pizza I've ever had, and it will be a must-visit every time we're in the Trinity area. Highly, highly recommend!

Very happy J&J's Smokin BBQ was what we saw and stopped at to grab a quick bite. There is parking out front and a couple of chairs and table outside. The BBQ spot is right next to a small shop where you can grab some snacks and drinks for the road. The BBQ spot itself is pretty basic - you walk up and they have a couple listed items from bbq sandwiches, wings and even tacos. I grabbed the pulled pork sandwich and sat down to wait for the order. While waiting many many people were ordering the wings and tacos - so must be epic! Got the food and was pretty happy with it. Plenty of flavor with the spicy sauce and fresh slaw. 100% would stop by again!

Maybe it is newer, I don't know. The place is so cute and clean and the parking is easy and free. It is comfortable. They also have a nice bar area. The service here is very good. We were taken care of right away and our food came out perfect and as ordered. We did try the wings, we had the 6 piece wing and we really liked the sauces that came with them. Our favorite however was there mains. They make some great Korean style food. We tried their Fusion Sandwich which is a Crispy Korean infused chicken patty with Asian coleslaw on a super toasted bun. Asian Infused Tacos, you get three and they are served with fried chicken and coleslaw and chopped green onions in fried tortillas. These were great. Also great was there chicken potstickers and spring rolls. We were happy with everything and will be back.

The lady who took our order was friendly, and we quickly scanned through the menu to decide what to get. We originally planned on ordering wings to bring some home for the kiddos, but they were a bit on the pricey side for the amount we needed. That said, they looked absolutely delicious and it's easy to see why this spot is popular for wings. Instead, we tried the taco, which was very saucy but still overall good. The fries were amazing, definitely a highlight of the meal! I also had the teriyaki chicken. The sauce was a bit too strong for my taste, but pairing it with the coleslaw helped balance the flavor nicely. Overall, I'd give it a 4/5. We'll probably be back, and next time we'll go all in on the wings since that seems to be what they're known for.
