We all wanted a burger so we found this on yelp and got there at 4:30 Saturday with 4 kids and worked perfectly because at 5 it got busy ! Burgers were good but i wished they asked how we wanted our meat cooked because a few were red . The onions were amazing, the sweet potato ones were okay very thin . The kids burgers like sliders were perfect for the 3&5 year old . So it was good but not fantastic, a little pricey considering most had waters . read more

Anytime we come to Truckee, we have to stop at Burger me. Definitely started off on the right note being greeted/served by our guy, wish I got his name but you'll know him when you see him. Super nice and very enthusiastic, and honestly having someone like that take your order just elevates your experience, food tastes better, and your happy to be there. I'm a fan of trying new things and can't say I remember having had elk so I went with the cowboy, substitute with elk, definitely wasnt disappointed. Juicy meat, bacon just the way I like it (not soggy/overly fat), crispy onions, fresh Brioche bun and bbq sauce ties it all together. For some reason we got a side of onion rings and garlic fries, thinking we could eat it all, made a decent dent but definitely not for the light eater. That being said, garlic fries were my favorite, reminded me of being at a sporting event where they always serve bomb garlic fries for like $25. Onions rings held their own, not your average rings by any means, one word "Robust". Gf played it just right and got the slider which was perfect for her, said it had tons of flavor. Doordashing through the snow, his experienced hand managed the hairpin turns of my driveway, which is steeped at an unholy grade, with all the expertise of an iditarod husky on the move. Despite my best efforts to catch him before he braved the elements, after all this wasn't the x-games of hospitality, the good man had delivered my veggie burger + fries to the porch. As the smell hit my olfactories, even the coyotes in the woods sensed dinner had arrived. I'd like to think they were braying,"Burger Me..." in canine. But alas, I'm no dog-oligist so I can only provide a review of my own puppy's feelings who was frankly butt hurt when she discovered the EMPTY tray of french fries 70 seconds after I closed the front door. The veggie burger didn't slake my thirst for hygge*, but damn did it come close. This beast was no wimpy impossible burger. Our lady was a hand crafted, bean forward number that required 2 hands, a few puppy bites and a lunch break to complete. Food was delicious and the menu had some great options. The milkshakes were delicious and I loved the lamb burger! The blackened chicken sandwich with bacon was also amazing! The employee at the register was helpful in answering questions about the menu! So why only 3 stars? The place was not cleaned, not maintained, and not well kept. All of the booths had upholstery that was ripped up. There were dirty used napkins on the floor near most of the tables, and there were dirty used napkins around the trash can. We went to Lake Tahoe on Wednesday and decide to drive little further to get the burger from this place because it supposed to have best burger. We ordered regular burger with brioche bun add on onion, elk burger with marble rye bread and add on onion, sweet potato fries, garlic fries, strawberry malt shake, chocolate shake. Overall, food is ok and underwhelming. The bread on elk sandwich is soggy with wilted lettuce. If you happen to be near the town and not too far then it is ok to go try their burgers or other food, but if you are in Lake Tahoe then I wouldn't waste time to drive there for their burgers. The best thing I had from there is their strawberry malt shake, you can really taste malt in there. read more

So I got the cow boy burger, it was ok (not good not bad). My little boy got a regular burger from the kids menu, and the beef patty was four halves BURNT! Poor kid had to bite off the burnt part. Not to mention that the burger was really small. I regret that I didn't tell them to make us a new one. read more

The food and behavior served at this restaurant will not make you want to return. One of the employees at this restaurant made an offensive comment to my friend once we walked in. For reference, my friend is a 16 year old girl, and the weather outside was 81 and steamy. As soon as we walked into this establishment a bald employee told her to button her shirt up. This was said loudly and got the attention of the entire restaurant who then stared at her. She obviously felt extremely uncomfortable and violated by this. An underage customers outfit choice should not be any business of the employee. The one star is allocated to the quality of the food as well. We ordered multiple veggie burgers, one of which came with just the patty, though it was ordered with avocado. The avocado did cost extra. I always struggle to get myself to pay for a nice burger when I know I could just get In-N-Out and be very satisfied and happy. But Burger Me was a spot I knew I wanted to try, and I'm glad I did. The hype is real and for good reason! I really liked their setup and how they are operating now. The outdoor and indoor seating areas are both quite spacious. It was quite busy when we went, but they prepared our order promptly. All the servers and workers are incredibly friendly and kind. I got the Turkey Burger with Fries, Turkey Chili and a Salted Caramel Shake. The burger was fairly good and solid. I think it could have used just a tad bit more seasoning, but overall, I did enjoy it. The fries were pretty typical, and the chili was memorable as well. However, my favorite thing by far was the shake. It was thick, super creamy, dense, and decadent. The salted caramel flavor also really stood out. This was definitely not great for my lactose-intolerance but so worth it, in my opinion haha. read more

(Up to you if getting the new, trendy no-meat patty is worth paying the same price as elk to you.) I had the turkey and the bf had the lamb. Both were good. I'd order either again. I'm very confused with the high ratings but I'm going to assume that it's because people that have been driving up here are starved and will eat anything as quick as they can. One of the more affordable spots in Truckee! My ski crew and I were relatively surprised at how boujie the small town of Truckee is. We stumbled upon Burger Me and were stoked to chow down on some gourmet burgers. I recently discovered that I have an intolerance to gluten, and I was really excited to see that Burger Me had several gluten free options. I ended up ordering their veggie bean patty on a gluten free bun with all the fixings, aka: lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, avocado, and thousand island. While I'm no expert on gluten free alternatives, I was surprised to find the bun and veggie patty to be equally as tasty as a regular burger! I also ordered a side of fries, which came warm and crispy - perfect for the snowy weather. Parking can be relatively tricky in this downtown area, but I recommend finding a spot somewhat nearby and using the haul as an excuse to explore! read more

We came here for burgers while waiting for the road to open in Truckee. The place serves an interesting variety of burgers as well as sides. I ended up getting the BBQ Bison Burger with Onion Rings. The burger itself was okay, I thought the bison meat tasted a bit drier but it tasted more or less like regular beef. It wasn't really all that special though, and was pretty typical standard fare of what you could expect at a burger joint. I do like that they had the condiments on the side and made they readily accessible so that if you wanted more of a sauce or item you could just easily get it yourself from the side bar. read more
