A small smash burger establishment located on Lake Blvd. Cult Burger exceeded our expectations. When we found this gem, my family and I were hungry and ready to eat. The service was excellent, and all the employees were terrific and friendly. My boyfriend ordered the Long Horn, and I had the Tahoma burger; both were delicious! We finished our burgers and were satisfied; the cult sauce on the burgers made them stand out. My son had the Buckaroo burger, which is a kids' cheeseburger. He also finished his burger, which tells me he loved it. We also ordered cowboy fries. There's a small indoor area with bar-style tables and stools to sit on. There's also a small seating area outdoors. We noticed many people showed up and ordered takeout. GREAT BURGERS, MUST TRY! :)

Ok. It's Tahoe and high season so be prepared to wait. These guys are hard workers! Wow! Short staffed and still remaining positive. Had to turn away customers as they were closing soon. Also, they ran out of fries but thankfully we had already placed our order. Whew! Seating is outside or small area inside but we took and ate at our local house. Burgers were cooked perfectly! Pink inside and the tomato bacon jam is outstanding!!! We had the fries with all the stuff on it and they were just ok. I did like the garlic and the cheese but the green sauce made the fries soggy.

The Tahoma... super good.

We had the Tahoma and Bacon Cheeseburger (protein style for keto diet) and both are delicious! I love my Tahoma burger; that tomato jam with aged cheddar are a perfect combo. Heads up, all burgers are cooked medium. If you prefer rare or well-done, make sure to let them know when you prefer different cooking level. Also, no bathroom on site.

Located on the 50, in Tahoma, is maybe the BEST burger place I've ever had, Cult Burger. Once I read the owner was a James Beard award finalist, I was there, even coming from Stateline and driving 40 mins. The little shopping center has plenty of parking. When you go up the stairs, they have a menu and you order outside. The seating is stools and a counter facing the parking lot, pure mountain joint vibes! I ordered the Lobo (substitute impossible patty), Cowboy Fries and Vanilla Milkshake. When eating the Lobo, I had to look at my wife's burger multiple times to make sure it wasn't meat. I was shocked. The seasoning and char of the impossible patty, made me think it was meat. The charred onions were seasoned and charred to onion, buttery, meaty, sweetness. The bun was brioche and was super soft and fluffy, yet was better tasting than a lot of brioches I've had. The thick amount of aged white cheddar was melted beyond belief, Heaven! Cult Sauce is like a tangier, spicier, special sauce,......sooooo much better. It was the best sauce I've had at a burger place. The Cowboy Fries are hand cut, crunchy outside, soft inside, just perfect. The salty/spices seasoning on them was great, as well. The milkshake was REAL Vanilla ICE CREAM. Silky, sweet, creamy, true vanilla, goodness. It was so awesome, I had to tell them! *I will 100% always come back to Cult Burger*

We were staying in South Lake but my husband wanted to try this place. So we decided to make the drive. I fought it in the beginning but after having it, the drive was so worth it. It was the best burger I've ever had. I got the longhorn. The seasoning was perfect. The jalapeños were delicious with a great amount of spice. I got the cowboy fries and a vanilla shake. The fries were great and the shake was even better. It was made with fresh ice cream. I will be back and can't wait to try another item in the menu. This little shack was a huge surprise. I had burgers at other places in Tahoe but this is hands down the best. Try it! You will not regret it. Also, the staff was very friendly and asked how we liked it. We let them know how much we enjoyed it.

Five star burgers. Everything made from scratch. 1/2 lb. Smashburgers cooked perfectly. Excellent onion rings on the cowboy fries, which were delicious. Stubborn craft sodas on tap. They do not mess around at The Cult. Not cheap but quality all the way... And great music tracks while enjoying the outdoor dining! We will be back.

Cult Burger was insanely good! I ordered the Cult Fries and Longhorn Burger, and let me tell you, the flavors were out of this world, and the portions were so big I nearly needed a map to find the bottom of my plate! The ambiance was great too--whether you're in the mood for some fresh air with their nice outdoor seating or prefer the cozy indoor setup, you're covered. Ordering at the window and taking your food wherever you want adds to the laid-back vibe. Plus, the guys in the kitchen were not just cooking up amazing food--they were serving up great energy and friendly smiles. You could say their enthusiasm was almost as well-done as the burgers!

Yum! If you are craving majorly delicious juicy well appointed burgers, hand cut fries, homemade pickles, and some amazingly tasty craft soda's...this new establishment in the heart of Tahoma on the West Shore (Best Shore) is the place for you. Quaint, friendly and ever so tasty. Outdoor counter seating, indoor seating space available too! I am so excited for this innovative burger place ...a much added asset to the community. I enjoyed the LOBO Burger...white cheddar, grilled onions on a brioche bun! Super great. The hand cut fries with a nice spicy aioli accompanied so well. My husband had the Tejas burger with blue cheese, smoke bacon and a haystack of onions! He was thrilled with the flavors. Give it a try....you will be back!

Best burger on planet earth! We've been here a few times and every time it's been great! This time I had the Longhorn burger and it immediately became my favorite burger of 2024. Fries were super hot and fresh. We like to get there early to avoid the rush.

We eat at the Cult Burger in Tahoma. Their burgers are good but expensive, but what isn't at Lake Tahoe

Great burgers and friendly service. I would recommend only getting one order of fries for 2 people. They are large!

The chowder arrived on the cool side, but the staff was very prompt about taking care of it, heating it up, and getting it back to us. There was plenty of seafood in every bite, which was great, but it needed some salt and pepper. I also think some bacon would have added another layer of flavor. I wasn't a fan of the focaccia bread that came with the chowder. It was more like eating a giant crouton. I think oyster crackers or a nice piece of soft, warm bread would have been a much better. The Hula Pie was huge and delicious. Definitely big enough to share! Despite a few misses, we enjoyed our visit. The next time we're biking in the area, we'll probably stop in again.

Was a bit worried they'll hit me sooner in high elevation, but was fine. Food wise, we tried their fried coconut crusted squid or calamari and their fish n chips. The fried calamari/squid were the flat kinds, similar looks to a flattened mozzarella stick. It was ok, def needed the sauce it came with. The fish n chips was one of the worst we've had. Very dry and dense fish. Ugh. The sauce and stuff was so much needed. Service was good though. We were seated promptly and our order was taken and food arrived timely. Would come back for the views and drinks.

If you want to go to a cafe go to Tahoe house for quality coffee and food (plus organic milk!). If you want to sit down, have a great view and amazing food with an in-house sommelier on the West Shore come here. We've been going to the West Shore (restaurant) since it opened and it is great. The staff has also always been accommodating even when we have brought our kids. To the owners: highly recommend dropping the cafe in the name. I have had to tell a lot of people that you're a restaurant and not a small coffee shop. I'm sure you've lost a lot of potential customers who were looking for a local restaurant and end up at Chambers instead.

Very nice location…read more You know you're at a cool restaurant when you have people pulling up on their boat to the dock for a reservation they made for dinner. That actually doesn't sound like a bad idea the next time we come here...West Shore Cafe was pretty good. There were 5 of us so we all ordered a ton of food(see pics). Service was on point and food for the most part was good but there was one item lacking and that was the Truffle Fries. Normally one thing wouldn't bother us so much but a lot of of us are potato connoisseur and especially love Truffle. So the fact that the flavor was absent in the fries was a little of a let down. Easy fix though. I would just add more Truffle Oil or whatever Truffle ingredient you add to the fries. Aside from that, all of us had a really good time and definitely would come back.
