I'm usually here when I go to a show at Music Box, which is a few blocks away. I can place the order online, and then walk to go pick it up. I noticed recently that they're now touting that the fries are cooked in tallow, which is a big buzzword lately. I mean, that's fine, but I don't think the fries are as good now. Mine this time were anemic, and not very crunchy at all. I like that they have the skins on them, but go back to peanut oil or something! I like the burgers, even though they're a little pricey. But they use better ingredients, so it makes sense. And they have deals from time to time, if you sign up for the text alerts. I also love that they have Batch Soda in the soda fountain. Grass fed burgers at an affordable price! On a street corner in little Italy you will find Burger Lounge. We ordered burgers to and thanks to the helpful staff we left with some yummy dipping sauces including the truffle aioli. The dining area is relaxed but we took our food to go and enjoyed eating while at an outdoor concert at Balboa park. It's been a while since I last went to burger lounge in Little Italy, but I have to say, I'm happy to have done so this week. What I really like about Burger Lounge is that they are consistent with their food. I am downtown a lot this week and have been going to here for lunch everyday this week. Each time I was greeted by kind staff who are quick to help with anything. They have weekly burger deals so I went with this week's deal which was the blue cheese bacon burger. I also got the half and half fries with onion rings. From order to food on table took roughly 15 minutes. Fries and rings arrived hot and crispy. I dont know what they season their onion rings with, but they are delicious. Fries are very good as well. Burger patty is cooked well done on their burgers, but they are not dry which is good. Burger had a really great taste to it and again its been consistent all week. This restaurant is in the heart of little Italy so you get nice views and a bustling environment. If you're in Little Italy and need a quick bite to eat where the food is consistently good. Burger Lounge is your spot. read more

Stopped by for lunch after walking the farmers market. We ordered at a kiosk right at the front. The place was empty & clean. We ordered 2 Lounge burgers and fries. It was almost $30. The burgers were good with a nice thick meat patty. It was flavorful & filling. I didn't give it the full 5 stars because the staff working the front wasn't welcoming & didn't greet us or say anything when he came out from the back. I think it's nice whenever customers walk into an establishment to be greeted with at least a hello, welcome or something as simple as a hi. Customer service! Aside from that, food was good. I haven't been to Burger Lounge in a while, and I was really disappointed with how much the quality has gone down. My favorite used to be the thin fries, but now they are big, dry, and unappetizing. The meat also tasted different, not fresh at all, and definitely not like how it used to be. I had a terrible experience at the La Jolla location and management reached out to me to give it another try. I decided to finally try it but this time at the Little Italy location and I have to say Burger Lounge totally redeemed themselves at this location. This location was clean, spacious and most importantly their service was excellent. After a customer left, the staff came to out to wipe the tables and asked us how we were doing. The burgers look a lot smaller than what I recall but they are actually pretty filling once you factor in all the ingredients. I loved how I can get a combo of fries and onion ring. All were made fresh to order piping hot. I also ordered the fried chicken sandwich and it was way bigger than the buns! It was crispy on the outside yet moist and juicy on the inside. They also serve beer in addition to soda. This is a great location if you'd like to try Burger Lounge. read more

For the many that have come to the many Hamburger places and those places that serve the ones which have been sitting on the grill when it comes to having a great burger you want to have one which is the best and have the flavor that rolls across the whole bun and the sauces that combine with the burger. Many places that I have come across can't make the right bun that will be able to handle a burgle and the weight of the burger causes many hamburger buns to break apart. There are many restaurants that have had remodeled, and the change of the stores and the restaurants can be one after many years when you had come before to the restaurant the colors gave the place a good 70s feel. After the change the one thing that I had noticed was the use of brown and the modern style lamps with the more modern and yet the more restaurant feels close to being a Dennys. When I had arrived was the sign outside the welcome to the many and the introduction of the new Burger Lounge Burgers which are the best. The good welcome at the door of the sign and the one thing that was the cashier it was not the usual cashier it was someone that worked in the back. Looking at the many changes and the feel of the restaurant in the Little Italy area still the best spot with the same menu and the of the many classes of the burgers they serve and the sizes of the fries and the deserts they serve. The cashier I saw that I saw was new and to be watched by the manager when he took my order finding a burger combo that was called the Big Blue Cheese bacon Burger with French fries and onion rings. The cashier gave me my drink cup and the number standee for on the table when my order came to the table it was at the service time of 7.00 minutes seeing the burger to check to make sure it was hot the juice and the blue cheese were dripping down the sides. I could see that the buns have changed with a light flower bun and the holdup of the burger did verry well and the bun never fell apart. There was one thing that caught my eye was the French Fries to have the order the taste was off, and the Onion rings requested large order there was less than a few. The tastes have changed, and the flavors of the burgers are still the best with the best sodas you can have with your order you can have Shirley Temple Soda with your meal. Upon looking over the restaurant the change to the restaurant is making it more modern and the days of the lounge are getting better. The signs that tell you what the food is and the great tastes of the burgers and the frosty shakes all can be seen on the wall of the dining area out front. Great for groups and the ever-popular date night you can come and have dinner and the many hot chicken sandwiches they look good on the menu board you just want to reach up and grab them. With plenty of seats and the patio area with the tables you can have for a large group. I had such a bad experience a few minutes ago at this restaurant. I came in to pick up my phone order and asked for the code to use the bathroom. Keep in mind I'm nine months pregnant and about to deliver any day. I'm completely exhausted and the guy at the register asked me if I was picking up an order so he could verify that I could use the bathroom since it's only for customers and I said yes. I told him I really needed to use the bathroom. He asked me my name and then had to go and verify that I was a customer And he was so incredibly rude to me. He kept acting like I was lying and he didn't believe that I was a customer. If you have a woman who's nine months pregnant come into your restaurant and say that she really has to use the restroom. Why would you make it so difficult for her to be able to do so? Can't he just take my word for it? He ended up telling me that I was being rude when I was just tired and needed to use the restroom. My friend who was with me was standing up for me, cause I was too tired to do it for myself. And then the manager told her to get out of his restaurant when all she was doing, was looking out for her friend. The whole thing was so crazy. I'm probably the top customer for Burger Lounge. I literally eat Burger Lounge probably twice a week. I can honestly say I've never been treated so badly at a restaurant. And it's such a slap in the face because I'm one of their top customers for sure. Everyone who knows me knows that I love Burger Lounge. I usually don't go to BL since their prices are high, however they have select items for $5 which is why I came in today. The guy working that counter really started our experience off great; he just radiated positivity, and was eager to answer any questions we had and would check on us throughout the meal to make sure things were good. The burgers were indescribably good; juicy, well seasoned, and filled with well rounded flavors that complimented each flavor note and worked in harmony.
