This place really surpassed my expectations. Their portions are just right and they are very fast with orders. Their burgers taste really good and I can tell that they are original. We love this place! The amazon and libre sauces are great. The tacos are yummy, a la Jack in the Crack Style. My 3 year old loved her burger both times we've eaten here... I got a regular burger the first time and one w chorizo the second, both were fab. Queso is just ok... French fries and tater tots standard fare, nothing special, but dip them in the special sauces! Love the Jarritos strawberry drink! The second time we ate here we got it delivered and it was hot and delicious just like eating at the restaurant. The staff are super friendly too. Nothing but 5 stars all around for Burger Libre. From the colorful decor, exceptional staff and delicious food (and clean bathrooms, yay), we've found our new burger joint. My husband loves the Double Trouble with a side of crinkle cut fries (which are always fresh, hot and crispy like I like them) and it fills him up just right. I usually just ordered the Classico sans bun which is just the meat, cheese and toppings with some shredded lettuce in a small tray. Kind of like a taco salad but with cheese. It's absolutely wonderful and helps me keep on track with my daily calorie count. Ever since they released the "Chick-Chick Wich", that's all I order. A tasty and juicy chicken filet on a warm bun with some lettuce and their special libre sauce puts Whataburger's chicken sandwich to shame. Don't leave here without trying one of their shakes. The vanilla is my favorite and I can't wait to see what seasonal shakes they come up with. Just please, no pumpkin spice. read more

As another Ybarra family creation (the same family that introduced us to Gringos Mexican Kitchen, Jimmy Changas, Bullritos), Burger Libre had a lot to live up to before they opened their doors. And I can say they absolutely met those expectations. I've tried four different burgers so I feel comfortable saying that any burger you buy will be fresh and properly cooked. That's where I have to dock a star, though. The time it takes between ordering your burger and having it on your table is far too long. On three of the four trips I timed it on my phone. They average at around 16 minutes for a single burger. I'm not upset at it being made-to-order and I don't expect them to be fast food joint fast. But I personally feel that you shouldn't have to wait more than 10 minutes for a burger, especially when you're the only one in line when you order. Other than that, the food is great, the portions are nice. The fries with their table side seasoning on them is a must. read more

I have been watching this place since the beautiful bright colors went up on the outside. The vivid colors made me want to know what was going in this little corner spot. It's been an ice cream shop twice and hasn't work so I was sure it wouldn't be ice cream. I noticed they were open yesterday evening while driving home so naturally that's what i suggested for dinner. I ordered the bacon burger with fries and a strawberry shake for my two Little's to share, a bacon burger with fries and a coke for my boyfriend, and the PORKY GORDO for myself with a Jarrito. Not many places carry Jarritos and they are a childhood favorite of my sister and mine so I was pleased to see them! The burgers were so good. They had that fresh grilled dinner tasted and were seasoned nicely. The sauces they used were delicious! My daughter never finishes her food but did last night! I will be going back to try the tacos and several of the other burgers. read more

I had been looking forward to this place opening and was not let down. Right now they have a very small menu, but will be expanding it over the coming weeks which will hopefully add some tasty options. I went with the Porky Gordo burger and it was very flavorful and juicy. The chorizo added a nice salty and smoky flavor to the burger and it wasn't too heavy or greasy as you might expect out of chorizo. I also had the chips and queso which were pretty good. The chips were nice and thick and very crispy and the queso tasted pretty similar to their sister franchises queso dip. The burgers are made to order, so you will expect a little bit of a wait around 10-15 minutes. I really can't wait until their menu fills out a bit more. Was expecting a little more from this place. Burgers were small and just ok for the price nothing special. I ordered the chips and queso but I should of just sticked with fries. Stopped in at 5:30 on a Friday. It wasn't crowded, but started to fill up as we left. Food was really good, service was fast. I had the bacon burger, the taco and crinkle fries. All delish! I've visited Burger Libre a few times, including twice during their soft opening. If the repeat visits don't clue you in to their quality, perhaps I should indulge in a little review for you. :) Burger Libre may very well have the best burger in town. The buns are always fresh, delicious, and soft, the meat always cooked and seasoned perfectly, the toppings and veggies always fresh and look picture-quality. I've yet to have a bad burger here, to be honest. It's a few bucks more per head than any drive through burger joint, which to me is absolutely worth the extra cash and the extra drive. It seems certain that Gringo's chief Russell Ybarra maintains absolute consistency as a recipe for success, and it's exemplified quite well with this new concept. I've had some damned good burgers in my 41 years, but I'm certain this one is my favorite go-to, and the Bacon Sancho is simply delectable. The milkshakes are smooth and tasty, the tacos are crunchy and spicy, and the only knock I have are on the potato-based sides. Tots and crinkle fries are merely standard-issue, although temperature-wise I've never been let down. They've always been cooked just right and served at the right time -- fresh and crunchy, but ultimately nothing groundbreaking. It's the ONLY knock I have on Burger Libre. Seriously. Perhaps the 'taters' could be spruced up with some larger, seasoned potato wedges to truly set the bar above and beyond. I'd also LOVE to see some fresh avocado slices or guacamole integrated into the existing burger menu, and I'm sure my vegetarian-eating mom would also appreciate a solid veggie burger on the menu, but for now the simple, as-it-is menu choices are solid and ring my bell aplenty. read more

Went here for the first time recently and it was pretty good! I got their chicken sandwich with fries and I thought the fries were amazing! The sandwich was okay, but there was a lot of butter on the buns so it made them really soggy and weird. Other than that, the staff was extremely friendly and my food was ready very quickly. The food was amazing the staff was so helpful they even sent home two little samples of their sauce so I could have more of the experience at home because I was doing a Takeaway. The Sancho burger with bacon was delicious the tater tots were crispy and plentiful and overall this was a very good experience for a very reasonable price the actual price with the sandwich the taco the tots and a drink came out to be less than the usual burger places, great portions at great prices. I'm not normally on this side town so I got on Yelp to find a good place to eat lunch. I was in the mood for a burger, and wanted to find a place close by. This place has pretty good reviews and it was only 1 mile from me, so after checking the website and seeing their slogan "burgers worth fighting for" I had to give it a try! I had the Mucho Macho burger combo with tater tots and a Skeleto Taco. The burger has a single beef patty, pork chorizo, applewood bacon, pepper jack cheese, with their signature libre sauce, jalapeños and the usual suspects tomato,lettuce, and onion. The buns are buttered, which I like, and the vegetables were really fresh. The tableside seasoning for the tots adds good flavor. Now the Skeleto Taco... If you can relate to jack in the box tacos being a guilty pleasure, you will definitely like these. Lol They are a little smaller, not greasy and tastier. Overall they are pretty good. All the employees seemed actually happy to be at work, and we're very helpful. The burgers are not too small or too big. I definitely left feeling satisfied, but not overly stuffed. My friend had the Skeleto Tacos, which have awesome crispy shells, but overall were pathetic with so little meat that after 3 bites we couldn't find anymore.
