I was in the area, got on my yelp app, this popped up and I decided to check it out. The atmosphere is fun, colorful and the staff was helpful and pleasant. I've had some fantastic food at some very unwelcoming looking places so my stars are never based on looks.... Very good burgers!!!! I love to give feedback on a burger because it's my favorite thing to eat. This was a good burger. I had the Bacon Sancho. The meat patty was thick, juicy and real. The bun tasted buttery and fresh...like fresh baked. All the veggies were fresh...Lettuce wasn't wilted, onion was crunchy, pickles were big & flavorful, no tomatoes for me. I also got the tots with my burger...they were perfect. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside...the way a tot should be. I sprinkled them with some of the Jimmy Changas season...delightful! Next time, I'm trying the tacos with my burger!! Now...the ONLY reason I gave them 4 stars is because there is no Diet Dr. Pepper. Texas made Dr. Pepper, so for every Texas restaurant NOT serving Diet Dr. Pepper (and making sure it's always good) gets 1 less star from me. Possibly the best fast casual burger available in the area. I normally get the Classico burger with fries. Their tacos are great also.

First impression of this place was they are a bit of everything in one; American and Mexican classics modernized. The building it's self is full of color and I love the Libre photos all over the wall. I found this place 24 hours prior via Door Dash. 4.5 miles from my job so I decided to keep my delivery fee and go another day. Nellie took my order- I really wanted a Sancho without Bacon and she informed me that that's just a Classico! I added crinkle fries and a fruit punch Jarroritos to my order(see photo below) There is about a 10 minute wait, which just confirms the freshness!! read more

The food was amazing! And super cheap prices. And don't even get me started on the service the workers were so kind and speedy.

Well when I went it was packed and I now know why. The food was amazing. It might have taken a little bit but was worth the wait. I got a BACON SANCHO burger and it was delicious. I'm a huge fan of lucha libre so this was a must stop for me doing my time in Houston even tho it's a little bit of a drive outside of Houston. I do have to say I wasn't disappointed. The burger was fresh and really good. The fries were pretty basic tho, just regular crinkle fries. The staff was also nice. I don't make my way to La Porte often but I now know a dependable location at which to find a delicious hamburger when I am visiting my friends out here! I was not here for terribly long and so I did not really take in the décor but it is appropriately a mix between modern and industrial, a refreshing departure from the old wooden shack style of burger joints that I typically find and usually prefer above all others. The food quality is, of course, the most essential component. And fortunately the patty was sufficiently juicy and played well against the drier chorizo and the moist and fatty bacon that comprise the Mucho Macho. The well-melted and not gooey pepper jack and a duo of sauces complete the picture well. Stomp's in Kemah still remains my gold standard of burgers but Burger Libre has a lot of the basics down pat and I would be willing to return next visit to this area! read more

I usually like a bigger/thicker bun, but this bun is perfect with this burger. The Classico was filling and delicious. The patty was cooked perfectly; not dry or overcooked which is so important in a good burger. Just know that it is probably NOT heart-healthy, but it is finger licking good. They have crinkle fries, but I liked (and preferred) the tater tots. My husband went the other way and liked the fries. So both are good, just a matter of preference. The Classico comes with the Libra sauce (chili-based mayo, with a punch of sriracha), but they also have an Amazon sauce (creamy cilantro-based mayo, with a hint of jalapeño). So, I had to tried both sauces on the side. I liked them both with the burger. I am not usually a fan of really spicy foods, so I was worried they would be too hot for me, but both were very good and I could not decide which I liked better. The Amazon was a little spicer, but not overly so - both are worth trying. The Libra sauce is also good with the tater tot's. read more

The burger buns were good reminded me of the buns from shake shack. The meat was ok. There's an amazon sauce you have to ask for it's pretty good. I used this sauce to dip with my fries. The food is at best ok, there are no stand outs here. Premium prices, edible food. Layout is typical, order food from a line, and pay. My burger was executed well, but tasted no better or worse than any I ever had. The price is premium, I ordered the Spartacus tacos, jack in the box serves the same tacos, and from jack in the box you get two for the price the libre charges. The atmosphere is a decent one. This is a pretty great burger spot! Especially on a Tuesday. They have Taco Tuesday. That in itself earns a star. For taco Tuesday they offer 50 cent tacos with a purchase of a burger (or sandwich I think ). They tacos are pretty good. They're not large stuffed tacos, just thin but good tacos topped with hot sauce . I ordered a classic burger with avocado and fries. I loved the fries and I loved that I got a big slice of avocado. Some places skimp on the avocado but this place did not. I ate the burger, fries and 2 tacos with a sweet tea and I was stuffed. The combo is $7.99 plus $1.00 for avocado plus tax. Great price for a great meal. Plus $1.00 for 2 tacos. I was a little worried there wasn't going to be room to sit as it was full when we walked in but people left by the time we paid. I'm giving this place a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Really, I'd like to give it a 4.5. The restaurant was pretty clean walking in, it was us and I believe one other person. The cashier (didn't get his name) was absolutely fantastic in helping us considering it was our first time there. I will say I love the theme! It's unique and despite the name, I wasn't expecting it at all. The colors, inside and out, are vibrant and welcoming. The taco wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't terrible. If you like Jack in the Box tacos, the Skeleto Taco is a giant upgrade for you. The burger was AMAZING. I have been craving a good burger for the past two months and this hit the spot. I usually can't finish my food, but I inhaled this burger. I ordered the classic and it gave me wow vibes. So plus for that! The only reason I want to give it a 4.5 out of 5, is because I didn't see any burgers that were over the top. I feel like if they had one over the top burger, more people would be drawn to this place and remember the name. But that's just my opinion.
