I was in the area, got on my yelp app, this popped up and I decided to check it out. The atmosphere is fun, colorful and the staff was helpful and pleasant. I've had some fantastic food at some very unwelcoming looking places so my stars are never based on looks.... Very good burgers!!!! I love to give feedback on a burger because it's my favorite thing to eat. This was a good burger. I had the Bacon Sancho. The meat patty was thick, juicy and real. The bun tasted buttery and fresh...like fresh baked. All the veggies were fresh...Lettuce wasn't wilted, onion was crunchy, pickles were big & flavorful, no tomatoes for me. I also got the tots with my burger...they were perfect. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside...the way a tot should be. I sprinkled them with some of the Jimmy Changas season...delightful! Next time, I'm trying the tacos with my burger!! Now...the ONLY reason I gave them 4 stars is because there is no Diet Dr. Pepper. Texas made Dr. Pepper, so for every Texas restaurant NOT serving Diet Dr. Pepper (and making sure it's always good) gets 1 less star from me. I will be re-visiting again (and probably again and again) and telling everyone about it. read more

I've only been to Burger Libre a couple of times, although I do enjoy their burgers and tacos.

First impression of this place was they are a bit of everything in one; American and Mexican classics modernized. The building it's self is full of color and I love the Libre photos all over the wall. I found this place 24 hours prior via Door Dash. 4.5 miles from my job so I decided to keep my delivery fee and go another day. Nellie took my order- I really wanted a Sancho without Bacon and she informed me that that's just a Classico! I added crinkle fries and a fruit punch Jarroritos to my order(see photo below) There is about a 10 minute wait, which just confirms the freshness!! read more

Possibly the best fast casual burger available in the area. I normally get the Classico burger with fries. Their tacos are great also.

Loveeeeee this place and their tacos!! the chocolate shake is a must try! soooo good!! Everything new we try here has been amazing.

I'm a huge fan of lucha libre so this was a must stop for me doing my time in Houston even tho it's a little bit of a drive outside of Houston. I do have to say I wasn't disappointed. The burger was fresh and really good. The fries were pretty basic tho, just regular crinkle fries. The staff was also nice. Love the wall of Lucha posters and all the mask and the rest of the inspired decor. read more

The food was amazing! And super cheap prices. And don't even get me started on the service the workers were so kind and speedy.

Well when I went it was packed and I now know why. The food was amazing. It might have taken a little bit but was worth the wait. I got a BACON SANCHO burger and it was delicious. The second time I went I got THE FIREBIRD and omg it was even better. And to top it off I had a strawberry shake. I will be going back asap read more

Clean and always great food. I'm not a big fan of tacos but Burger Libre's tacos are the best ever!

Good food . Great service ! We will definitely be back . I loved all the mask decorations.

New, Nice, friendly staff and Clean. I think someone loves Jack in the Box tacos cause that's what theirs remind me of. The Classico Burger was really good. All in all not bad. A burger joint that sells tacos with Mexican wrestling inspired decor. I'll go back read more

Burgers are Fresh and taste like a gourmet home style spin.. The staff is quick and very orderly from start to finish.

I don't make my way to La Porte often but I now know a dependable location at which to find a delicious hamburger when I am visiting my friends out here! I was not here for terribly long and so I did not really take in the décor but it is appropriately a mix between modern and industrial, a refreshing departure from the old wooden shack style of burger joints that I typically find and usually prefer above all others. The food quality is, of course, the most essential component. And fortunately the patty was sufficiently juicy and played well against the drier chorizo and the moist and fatty bacon that comprise the Mucho Macho. The well-melted and not gooey pepper jack and a duo of sauces complete the picture well. Stomp's in Kemah still remains my gold standard of burgers but Burger Libre has a lot of the basics down pat and I would be willing to return next visit to this area! read more

Love coming here, food is always fresh and their crunchy tacos are a must each time we go

I usually like a bigger/thicker bun, but this bun is perfect with this burger. The Classico was filling and delicious. The patty was cooked perfectly; not dry or overcooked which is so important in a good burger. Just know that it is probably NOT heart-healthy, but it is finger licking good. They have crinkle fries, but I liked (and preferred) the tater tots. My husband went the other way and liked the fries. So both are good, just a matter of preference. The Classico comes with the Libra sauce (chili-based mayo, with a punch of sriracha), but they also have an Amazon sauce (creamy cilantro-based mayo, with a hint of jalapeño). So, I had to tried both sauces on the side. I liked them both with the burger. I am not usually a fan of really spicy foods, so I was worried they would be too hot for me, but both were very good and I could not decide which I liked better. The Amazon was a little spicer, but not overly so - both are worth trying. The Libra sauce is also good with the tater tot's. read more

Cute little new burger joint. The taco was ok kinda tasted like a taco from jack in the box. Ordered the bacon sancho and the Classico. The burger buns were good reminded me of the buns from shake shack. The meat was ok. There's an amazon sauce you have to ask for it's pretty good. I used this sauce to dip with my fries. The chips and queso was ok, although my 3 year old daughter loved it. read more

Burger Libre - Mango soda, crinkle fries, fried taco, queso and chips, bacon sancho - Burgers Near Me - La Porte, Texas

We love Burger Libre. We've tried most of their burgers and they are all good. Every time we order burgers, we treat ourselves to a double order of tacos for lunch the next day. They're delicious! read more

Alright people so for the Deer Park, Laporte, Spencer Highway, Pasadena living, Plant working, burger loving person, this is the spot to come get some tasty burgers, shakes and sides. Yes its a burger offered with fries but guess what!! ON Tuesdays you can get .50 cent tacos with your burger or Hotdog purchase. You heard me they have hot dogs-beefy, thick and juicy and you can top them with chili n cheese, avocado-ehhh--whatever floats your boat. But this is not all. Recently they have updated their menu selections and they have Keto friendly options for the carb concious folk. Now you can order a bunless, lettuce wrapped beef, chicken and turkey burger with a side of Chicharrones. I dont think your hearing me. You can have your pattie of choice, topped with slaw, bacon, chorizo (you're so bad.... ;-).. ), cheese, lettuce, tomato, slathered in special sauces and completed with a side of crinkle cut fries, tacos, tater tots or chicharrones. Now lets get down to the real nitty gritty...I talking about their throw down shakes. Yeah you can be basic like Bob, Nancy, Bill, And Grace but guess what ...Nah!...I refuse to just have a vanilla, chocolate or strawberry shake...I want toppings, I want mix ins, I want to have to take the top of my shake and have to eat the rest of it because my straw could not handle it. Oh yeah...every so often they offer a specialty shake like during the fall you could get a salted caramel shake topped with pretzels! Or you can try their everyday throwdown shake which features Oreos. How can you resist?? If you want to pretend you care about how many calories are in this thing then they do offer a mini size. (for wimps only) Anyway---so, if you are hungry, you want a burger...go to Burger Libre--service is great--burgers are YUM, great side options. You get basic fountain drinks or you can choose from a refrigerated section of topo chico and other select beverages. The restaurant offers its own charm as its decorated in theme with lucha libre masks (thats wrestling masks for y'all), clean and bright. So please do me a favor and don't just walk in there and order a classic burger and say your bored because with the amount of options you have you can leave there full, happy and maybe wearing a lucha libre mask of your own! Try it. read more

Best burger in town I swear. My daughter and I love it. Not a burger fan? Get their tacos!

So great! I love the burgers and the buns they use are so good!!! You can get tacos for sides which I was really shocked by! Haha it's texas though and I'm here for it! Their shakes are the bomb.com!!!!!! read more

Food is good. The Firebird and their classic cheeseburger have great flavor, but the buns tend to remind me of paper towels. I like their tacos - simple and flavorful. The service was good, but they had the music up so loud in there that we had to almost yell at each other to talk - we got our food to go. read more

They do not even try to assist those with Celiac disease. The hostess seem not even care to take the time to find out.

The food is at best ok, there are no stand outs here. Premium prices, edible food. Layout is typical, order food from a line, and pay. My burger was executed well, but tasted no better or worse than any I ever had. The price is premium, I ordered the Spartacus tacos, jack in the box serves the same tacos, and from jack in the box you get two for the price the libre charges. The atmosphere is a decent one. Try them out and see. I went three different times. I did not find anything that made this a regular place in my dinings read more

This place is so good. Burgers are juicy and full of flavor. I just love their tacos, super delicious and crunchy, cannot come here and not get them. Without a doubt the shakes are super yummy. Stop by and enjoy some delicious food. read more

This is a pretty great burger spot! Especially on a Tuesday. They have Taco Tuesday. That in itself earns a star. For taco Tuesday they offer 50 cent tacos with a purchase of a burger (or sandwich I think ). They tacos are pretty good. They're not large stuffed tacos, just thin but good tacos topped with hot sauce . I ordered a classic burger with avocado and fries. I loved the fries and I loved that I got a big slice of avocado. Some places skimp on the avocado but this place did not. I ate the burger, fries and 2 tacos with a sweet tea and I was stuffed. The combo is $7.99 plus $1.00 for avocado plus tax. Great price for a great meal. Plus $1.00 for 2 tacos. I was a little worried there wasn't going to be room to sit as it was full when we walked in but people left by the time we paid. I love the look outside, the bright colors. They need to add a veggie burger! read more

I'm giving this place a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Really, I'd like to give it a 4.5. The restaurant was pretty clean walking in, it was us and I believe one other person. The cashier (didn't get his name) was absolutely fantastic in helping us considering it was our first time there. I will say I love the theme! It's unique and despite the name, I wasn't expecting it at all. The colors, inside and out, are vibrant and welcoming. The taco wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't terrible. If you like Jack in the Box tacos, the Skeleto Taco is a giant upgrade for you. The burger was AMAZING. I have been craving a good burger for the past two months and this hit the spot. I usually can't finish my food, but I inhaled this burger. I ordered the classic and it gave me wow vibes. So plus for that! The only reason I want to give it a 4.5 out of 5, is because I didn't see any burgers that were over the top. I feel like if they had one over the top burger, more people would be drawn to this place and remember the name. But that's just my opinion. I will definitely recommend this place and continue to go there for a great burger! Thank you, Burger Libre! read more

Got to Texas and we were hungry, just randomly selected this place, not bad at all. Next time I'm in Bayport have a place to go for lunch.

This place really surpassed my expectations. Their portions are just right and they are very fast with orders. Their burgers taste really good and I can tell that they are original. I don't know what took me so long to visit this place since I always go next-door to the lunchbox. This will definitely be a regular place we go to lunch at work. read more
