This place has always been sooo good! The environment is so clean and just a really good atmosphere. The food is amazing too. I normally don't finish my food but when I come here I clean the plate. My favorite is the hot dogs here but I've heard the burgers are as equally good too. The service can be a bit slow since sometimes it does get busy but they have a good amount of seating so you can wait for your food. I tried the Double Trouble and followed it up with a Reese's Buttercup Shake. I was in a food coma but I was so happy to be there hahaha. The staff were extremely helpful and quite persuasive in getting me to buy a shake after my meal. I got the Bacon Sancho (pictured here) which pretty much hit the spot. The crunchy tacos were good and the fries ok. I got to take a bite out of the Porky Gordo and OMFG, there's moments when you bite into a burger with one extra ingredient and you think "wow, this really does change everything." I wanted to eat here for a very long but just simply never found the time. Yesterday I took a friend out to lunch and I finally made it here. The restaurant was clean, colorful and had a friendly staff. Ashley (sp) was the manager who was smiley, welcoming and helpful. You order at the counter and your receipt number is called when the food is ready which didn't take long. The food was very good and tasty. My friend ordered the double cheeseburger with crinkle fries. He is still talking about it the next day. Get ready to use long sheets of napkins. I ordered the Mucho Mancho which had cheese, jalapeno beef patty, land chopped chorizo along with potato tots. Definitely tasty and needed lots of napkins. Both burgers were super juicy. By the way they use potato buns which were very good. Now for 3 cons which I found to be serious. 1 The container with lemon wedges for your fountain soda had no tongs so people were handling the lemon wedges with their hands. When I mentioned it to Ashley she gasped and brought it right out. 2. The Jimmy Changa seasoning jar on the table had the seasoning clumped and would not pour our. I had to take the top off and use my fingers to break the clump. Looked like it was brought in by humidity. No utensils were available to break it apart 3. I had ordered potato tots and got crinkle potatoes instead. I brought it to Ashley's attention and she gave me the correct order and then asked me if I touched them so you could give them to another customer. My look of unbelief convinced her and she said never mind it's your lucky day and gave me both orders. Was she really going to give them to another customer? What if I had touched them?? Not very sanitary in her thinking. The food was very good but their lack of sanitary procedures would keep me from returning and removing 2 Stars because I found them to be serious cons. Because I really enjoyed everything I tried. --- --- --- Before heading down to stay with my parent's for a few days, my Mom texted me a few places that she wanted to try while I was in town. One of those was Burger Libre. When I saw that I already had it bookmarked, I remembered that my brother had already put it on my radar about a month earlier. And when I mentioned that to my Mom, she said she heard about it from someone else. So apparently Burger Libre has some pretty great word-of-mouth buzz going! I ordered chips & queso to start and was very happy with that decision. The only bad part is that I couldn't stop eating it and felt very conflicted about filling up on it before the rest of my food came. Fortunately, I'm a professional and powered through. But as for the chips themselves, they were a bit thicker than chips you'll get at your typical Tex-Mex joint. Thin chips are tasty, but they tend to break when you dip them. These held up nicely and tasted great! Next up: the tacos. My brother described them as gourmet Jack-in-the-Box tacos. I think this was an accurate description. They shell was crispy, greasy and thin. After a late Saturday night, I can't think of anything that would be more enjoyable than about ten of these. And last, the Misterio burger. I loved it. The bun was so soft. The fillings were full of flavor. I could eat this multiple times a week and not get tired of it. So it turns out my mom, my brother and the people who told them about Burger Libre were right. This place is great and I hope to come back again! read more

The food was prepared quickly and I was able to get my Togo order in less than 20 min. The restaurant was clean and well lit. There seemed to be lots of open seating available as well. The burger itself satisfied my craving. The cheese was melty - the pattys were decent sized. I felt full after eating it. It also held up pretty well on my drive back to the office. Great place at good prices! I had the double cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, and fries. They use potato buns which are super soft yet sturdy; my favorite type of burger buns. All of their burgers are 1/4 lb, and the double is 1/2 lb. They should add this info to the menu, but at least the cashier knew this info (I've been to so many burger places where they don't know the size of their burgers, which is important info so I know whether to order a single or double). They also take your order at the counter and you pay immediately, which I prefer instead of wait staff. The only drawback is that they still request tips, even though it's no different from ordering a burger at any other fast food joint. But overall it was a great experience! ...definitely not a "burger worth fighting for". I had been eyeing this Lucha Libre-themed burger place for a few months now and while driving by one day I saw it was finally open, so I stopped in. They're owned by the same people as Jimmy Changa's, so I guess they will probably build more of these in the southeast Houston/Pasadena/Clear Lake area. They had only been open a few weeks but only the 1st 4 burgers on the flimsy temporary menu were available. Each burger is a 5oz patty of machine-formed fresh ground beef. In fact, they have a window you can see the raw patties sitting on trays while you wait in line, similar to how Fuddruckers used to be. I want to call them the hispanic version of an In N Out. Although the health levels may not be the same. The interior may be small, but they have designed the space well so that many customers may sit inside in one of the booths, long high tops, or regular tables. There is no outside seating. They also offer a deep fried taco, which a lot of people were ordering as their side. I just chose the crinkle cut fries, but looking back I should have ordered the taco. As far as the burgers, well they are just okay. Small for the price and you are likely to finish it quickly. Would have been better if they offered more than just American cheese. Maybe they will add the cheddar cheese by next week. The sides are basically your frozen variety, nothing special there. The strawberry shake was not that great. I would have definitely enjoyed whataburger's version more. read more

I've been multiple times and drive close to 40 min just to eat here! Chicken sandwiches are amazing but we have had the burgers and hotdogs now. Both are very good and makes it hard to choose what to get each time. The burgers are smash burgers and are tender and juicy! Overall a very great burger! The hotdogs are great, the dog itself are very tasty and the toppings are plentiful! They're made out of brisket and might be one of the tastiest hotdogs I've eaten. We like to get a chicken sandwich or burger and spilt a hotdog! Oh yea don't forget the tacos! I recommend the tots over the fries. Tots are always crispy on the outside and tender inside. I've had some fantastic food at some very unwelcoming looking places so my stars are never based on looks.... Very good burgers!!!! I love to give feedback on a burger because it's my favorite thing to eat. This was a good burger. I had the Bacon Sancho. The meat patty was thick, juicy and real. The bun tasted buttery and fresh...like fresh baked. All the veggies were fresh...Lettuce wasn't wilted, onion was crunchy, pickles were big & flavorful, no tomatoes for me. I also got the tots with my burger...they were perfect. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside...the way a tot should be. I sprinkled them with some of the Jimmy Changas season...delightful! Next time, I'm trying the tacos with my burger!! Now...the ONLY reason I gave them 4 stars is because there is no Diet Dr. Pepper. Texas made Dr. Pepper, so for every Texas restaurant NOT serving Diet Dr. Pepper (and making sure it's always good) gets 1 less star from me.
