Wanted a good hamburger this place fits the bill. Do yourself a favor and get the Tacos. They are delicious

Burgers, hot dogs are really good. Cooked on old flat top grill. Tacos are better than jack in the box and that's saying a lot. Shakes are done on the old style mixer. read more

very good burgers the staff is friendly fast and well mannered place is very organized and clean

Not the best burger and fries deal. There are better places. Sadly chains are better like Fuddruckers or pappas bbq, or Red Robin. I'm glad to see lunch cal places open but if you do it has to be better than the chain restaurants. read more

Ehhh... I agree with other folks. Plain olé meat patty no special seasoning. Nothing to it. Overpriced and unimpressed.

My family and I love burger libre! Delicious food and shakes, fair prices, great customer service and clean restaurant. The tacos and smack down tots are my fav. Next time I'll have to try their chicken sandwich. Oreo shake is huge and delicious. read more

The burgers are great. It's the long wait during the lunch hour that's the problem folks. I've been there twice, and will not go again. They take over 25 minutes to get you your order, and they don't apologize for the wait. It seems that the manager isn't too worried about it! There are enough workers, but something is missing. Lots of chickens without heads walking in circles! If you have 30 minutes to spare, plus your eating time... go for it! I'm 10 minutes away and it's not worth the long wait! read more

I can't think of enough good things to say about Burger Libre. I've heard so many great things about this place and was very excited to give it a try, I mean you can't go wrong with burgers! After hearing so many great things about the restaurant, I wanted to try this place out. The food, the atmosphere, and the employees are all great! As soon as you walk in the employees greet you with a warm welcome and a huge smile, and they are so helpful. I had several questions about the menu items and the cashier answered every question and she didn't seem bothered with all of my questions about the different burgers. Customer service seems to be lacking in many places but not here, they go above and beyond! The burgers are amazing, juicy, and full of flavor! The bun is soft and buttery. The spicy mayo is a perfect match with their fresh cut lettuce, tomato, and pickle. And adding bacon to a hamburger is never a bad idea! The crinkle fries are perfectly hot and crispy and are amazing sprinkled with their secret seasoning. The skeleto tacos are to die for and are perfect addition to any of the burgers. And don't get me started on their hand spun milkshakes, the Oreo crusher is my favorite! They are so creamy and a perfect way to end a meal, kind of like the cherry on top of an ice cream sundae. After taking my nephew here for the first time, he asked if we could always have our "dinner dates" here and he is a VERY picky kid, so I was excited to finally find something that he liked! It is a pretty casual and laid-back place, so I decided to start going there to study and to grab dinner. After going there several times to study, the cashier already had my ordered rang in and was ready for me to pay as soon as I walked up to the counter, that's how attentive they are or that shows how predictable I am . I've been wanting to try their street hot dogs, but I usually stick to what I know, talk about being predictable! And knowing that this restaurant is affiliated with Gringo's and Jimmy Changas, I knew their customer service was going to be outstanding and they proved that to be very true. Customer service is very important to them, and it truly shows as soon as you walk in that door. Food is also very important to the company and that is proven with the first bite that you take. After trying out this place for the first time, I knew this place was going to be a favorite of mine. I could literally eat here several times a week and not get tired of it, that's how good their burgers are! No matter what you decide to try, you won't be disappointed at all, you will leave full, and planning your next trip back. read more

Great burgers! Burger Libre is very clean. The staff is friendly and the food is yummy!! The burgers are fresh and well seasoned along with the fries. The milkshakes are so thick and creamy really good with a cute presentation. read more

It's a simple burger joint not very impressed. Honestly would rather eat at whataburger for a good basic burger. Basic tots and basic crinkle fries. Not knocking it but I'm definitely not praising it either. Burger kinda plain to be honest, but is ok with the little seasoning that's given on the table you sit at. Also the little skeleto tacos taste like an upgraded jack in the box taco same size same style just more "fresh" i guess. Probably won't be in any kind of hurry to get back here just thought I'd share my opinion. read more

We just tried this for the first time today. I got the classico. It had good flavor and the toppings were fresh. I recommend it.

Not Impressed, and coming from the Ybarra family would of actually expected more from this place. Their "Tex-Mexican" food is great but this place is was an overpriced, plain burger w/ no "bite" or "seasoning". Nothing special. I miss the Ice Cream place that was there before, but didn't pan out and burgers are quick and easy. Some Sonics, their burgers are better than these. I've eaten here twice and not impressed either time. Down side is when I'm on shift, there isn't much to eat within the city. Plus side if any, staff was friendly and the food is kind of quick. read more

Love the skeleto tacos! And the shakes! Burgers were good too. Heck, it's all good!

My wife and I decided to stop by since we saw the "now open" sign. It was a bit crowded but we understood seeing as how it was opening weekend. The decor is pretty cool, it's all about Mexican Wrestlers. The interior is very clean (it is brand new) and the staff was awesome. It is an, order at the counter get your number and your food is delivered to the table, type of establishment. We ordered a single and a double cheese Classico (their original burger) along with chips and queso, crinkle cut fries, and a skeleto taco. The kitchen is open to the diners and we were seated right next to "the pass" aka "the expedition area" aka "where the food leaves the kitchen to diners" so we can see and hear all of the chaos and action. The chips and queso came out immediately and the chips were thick, warm, and salted nicely and the cheese was warm and tasty with a lil' tiny hint of jalapeño, it was not canned concession stand cheese. We did have to wait a while but they were PACKED so we understood. Once the food actually arrived it looked and smelled great. The patties had shrunk down to a size that is a bit smaller than I like my burgers but I eat like two humans in one so I'll reserve judgment until I taste. As we always like to do, we tasted the meat all by itself and this patty was deliciously seasoned and had the beautiful crust created by the hot flat top grill. The buns were soft and kind of sweet the perfect compliment to the seasoned patty and zesty sauce. The fries were crinkle cut (love that) and salted nicely (there is some seasoning on table if you want to take it further) but ours were a little on the barely warm side (we actually watched our fries sit on the trays and wait for our burgers to be done so we kind of expected that). The taco was cool because it was a fresher, tastier version of the deep fried taco from a place that rhymes with "back in the rox!" In my opinion it was a little too small for its price, but I'd honestly probably order it again. So aside from the minor things that I mentioned, I might have given this one five stars (it's rare though). This place will definitely be a go to for me and I will recommend it to any of my friends and students who ask. read more

Burger Libre - Burgers Near Me - La Porte, Texas

I personally think this is the best burger place in the LaPorte area. Juicy, flavorful, & delicious. The tacos are pretty good too. I have yet to try anything else besides the 2 but this is now my go to spot for a good burger in LaPorte. read more

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this new burger place. It was very clean and the people who worked there were friendly explaining the concept of the restaurant. I had the bacon cheeseburger that was very flavorful and juicy. The bread was fresh and tasty. I also had a taco and I can best describe it as a less greasy jack in the box taco. It was all in all a delicious meal and an enjoyable experience. I'll definitely be back. read more

The best blend of Tex-Mex and burgers! I love that you can get little jack in the box style tacos with your burger instead of fries. The tacos are way better then any jack in the box taco though. My boyfriend will get fries and I'll get the tacos with mine so we get to eat both great service and amazing food! Love this place! read more

Only stopped in for desert, but heard good things about the place. The burgers looked amazing. Owned by a guy that does great things for the community and hope it does well. read more

Far exceeded my expectations! Their milkshakes and bacon cheeseburgers are delicious, the chili cheese fries were yummy as well but It was more food than I could ever eat at one meal. So many thoughtful details went into each aspect from restaurant decor to the business cards Staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, good location. Now if they'd only branch out with more locations! (A family can dream, right?) read more

Visited this place yesterday afternoon after my daughter had a medical procedure. Very crowded. She was still recovering. Noticed a table was being cleared. Told my daughter to go sit down there while I ordered. She was accosted by another customer who said he HAD been waiting a long time for that table to be cleared. Employees nearby, heard the rude exchange. Did nothing to intervene or remedy. We left as there was no where else to sit & by that time we were embarassed. Can't rate the food so the one star is for poor service & staff. Too bad. Been wanting to try this place. Could have been a new favorite. read more

Two bacon burgers, queso and chips, and two doubles. Great lunch for a Texas family! Burgers were excellent, and the chips were obviously homemade. Food was so good, but the real highlight is the service. If the Ybarra Family keeps opening these great restaurants, my Family may never eat at Home. read more

I went in with a party of 7. We got lucky to have tables together because it's a pretty small place. We ordered bacon burgers, fries, tots and chips and queso. Let's start with the queso. It was horrible!! Don't even try it. The fries and tots were just plain fries and tots. Our burgers were so boring. The bacon was limp. The beef was cheap. You have to ask for mayo and mustard. I guess I can say the pickles were good?! The shakes looked good but we didn't try them. If I remember the menu or website said something like...a burger worth waiting for. No way! A burger worth not ever going back for. Too bad I was excited that it was so close to home. read more

Amazing burgers! I love that I can order without a bum and it seems normal to them! Customer service is always top Notch

We all had the chik chikwhich and a side. The sandwich was delicious. If the pickles aren't homemade they are the closest I've found to my grandmother's pickles. Even the spice to sprinkle on my crinkle cut fries was delicious. Will definitely go back and try the shakes read more

One of the best burgers I have ever had in my life, hands down!!!! From bun to bun there was nothing inside this burger that was not fresh and of top quality. If you want an old fashioned burger with a little twist and flare stop by Burger Libre and get you one! read more

Walking in I was really impressed. I work with a lot of restaurants and to see a newer operation managed and built this well is rare. The baseline burger and chicken sandwich were $5 each, combo came out to $8. Portions were a little smaller but still comparable to price, no more than I needed. Everything was delicious and clearly made with care. read more

The atmosphere is charming and fun, the burger patties are thick, nicely seasoned, and juicy. My first experience here was met with patient staff that explained the menu, delivered my food, and checked up on me periodically. Awesome new spot! Décor, atmosphere, and friendly staff won me over before I even ordered. Food was great also lol mmmmm chorizo burger

Everything was good but I order a keto burger and they didn't put my condiments in a container or anything not even napkins! I realized it all late that they didn't put it there all together read more

The best burgers around, staff is great. Food is very tasty. The crinkle cut fries are the best!!

Excellent burger close to home!! Alex, the manager is zeroed in on customer satisfaction! Keep up the good work!

Not bad but nothing to get excited about. The burger I'd give a 3 out of 5. It was a decent size patty but not much bigger than fast food. The tacos were decent, if you're a fan of Jack in The Box tacos. read more

I love just about everything on the menu but my favorite item is the taco trio with crinkle cut fries. It's my Friday payday go to. I also love the burgers and the mini shakes. If you've been waiting to try this place, you're truly missing out. A true hidden gem! read more

This place has a fantastic burger, got the double patty would've been fine just with the single. Great experience.

My burger was soooo big that I got fat that day.(I ate like 3) Delicious burgers but too many carbs. I wouldn't recommend Burger Libre if you're on a diet. read more

Burger was too juicy. Bun was soaking wet. I don't eat wet bread. The burger might be better without the sauce

This place was so great! My date suggested this place for lunch the other day. I had never heard of it though I had experienced one of their sister companies - Gringos - and so I hopped at the chance to give it a try. I'm certainly glad that I did. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome. The lady working the front counter was super friendly and extremely helpful in making recommendations. I tried the Classico burger. It was a no frills, traditional burger. The meat was excellent. It had that homemade vibe to it. No pressed patties at this joint! Delicious. I got a couple of their sauces on the side to try at my leisure and they were excellent. As this was my first visit, I was given a free taco that was to die for. I ordered tots with my burger and they were great. My date ordered fries and they were tasty as well. Greatness takes time to prepare and so do not get in a hurry when waiting on your food. It was well worth the wait. All in all, we highly enjoyed our visit and would be back. Kudos on a job well done Burger Libre! read more
