I haven't eaten at BK in well over 2 decades but was enticed by their new re-branding & marketing campaign to give it another try. The drive thru was busy because it was lunch hour, and we had to wait a nominal but not egregious length of time for our food. My mother who is super picky and loved the Whopper Jr. in years of yore said she really enjoyed her burger. I got the "Original" chicken sandwich which I loved as a kid and it tasted just like I remember, although my adult palate could have used a little hot sauce. The fries were piping hot and tasted good. Most remarkably, the young lady who took our money and gave us our food looked very put together and SMILED. I no longer expect even the bare minimum of customer service from "fast food" restaurants so her countenance was a surprise and warmly welcomed. I hope this franchise will do well. We are usually strict about only patronizing mom&pop kind of places but both my mom and I said we'd come back. Bravo! read more

Ever been to one of those restaurants where it's like they don't want you to eat there. That's what this is. There's like no one there, but you still have to wait to give your order. My husband went through the drive thru last night. The Shallotte location just reopened a week ago. The drive thru was very slow. We live 5 minutes away. Our burgers were stone cold. The fries were lukewarm, and my Sprite tasted like mold. We will not be going back. read more

The Burger King in shallotte just reopened after being closed while they remodeled. It looks terrific, but the service is STILL terrible. The drive through took 20 minutes with only three cars in front of me. We just sat there without moving for an insane amount of time. Drive throughs are suppose to be a quick experience. read more

Went there and got everything we ordered snd everything was good. Super fast and the woman was super friendly

2 stars because the front was clean. Finally improved it with a remodel a while back. Will give the cashier the benefit of the doubt because she was young but had trouble making change even though the register said exactly how much. Got my drink cup and there is no ice or tea. Got my food and the fries were fresh but the burger was a heat lamp special. The ketchup was transparent so I had to pass on that. I think this is the last chance I give them. Please don't eat here! I went through the drive thru for a quick burger and when I drive to the pick up window, I saw a blonde worker behind the counter flipping her hair like crazy.... Nothing to stop her hair from ending up on the food. She proceeded to let customers play with her hair. When she saw me looking at her, she proceeded to talk to me in Spanish. I'm not Spanish. I asked the other person at the Windsor who that was, her response was," Her name is Amber and she's our new manager assistant in training. Today my friend and I made a dreadful mistake....we went back to a place we swore we would not go to again, our local Burger King. We were enticed by their slick commercial touting Their NEW burger....American Brewhouse. What a mistake! The first warning that this may not be a good experience was the person at the drive thru window . This person should not be permitted to address the public. She was totally devoid of a personality or people skills. We ordered The American Brewhouse burger, that was our second mistake. The next mistake was we paid almost $20.00 for these "so called burgers". This burgers DID NOT resemble the one touted in their commercials! The burgers were so bland and tasteless we fed them most of the burgers to our dog [poor dog ] We renew our vow... we will NEVER go back to this Burger King ever again!!!! read more

We all know that Fast Food is on the low end of the Restaurant food chain. This location takes it to a new low. Unfortunately, this is the only Burger King in the Area. First, with each visit we seemingly are greeted with a few employees hanging out on the side of the building smoking. Once you get through the cloud of smoke in the parking lot, you get the challenge of finding a table that is not dirty. Dirt seems to be the norm at this BK, Tables, Floors, and the Drink area is usually dirty. It's usually the job no one wants to do in fast food, the employees seems to have found a way to avoid cleaning the dining area on a routine basis. Some BK's know how to make the best out of the limited menu. This one seem to go out of their way to make it way below average. They are very chincy with the toppings on the burgers. Salads are a joke. BK advertises "Our Garden Side Salad is a blend of premium lettuces garnished with juicy tomatoes, home-style croutons, a three-cheese medley, and your choice of KEN'S® salad dressing." However, in Shallotte. When you order a side salad, what you receive is a bit of iceberg lettuce and a tomato from the Burger prep area, served in a half empty container. No cheese, no lettuce blend, no croutons. I've been to dozens of BK's and this is the only one that uses an unsecured pitcher to store unsweetened tea. Just a major turn off. The place needs vast improvement, either a better owner or better management wouldn't hurt IMO. Employees are only as good as the manager, so blame is squarely placed on management's shoulders. They need to get it together. In the meantime, I'll have to stick with going elsewhere. read more

I will never eat at this establishment again. On my visit the dining room was still closed to patrons. I placed my order at the drive through. I was asked to move up and wait for my order. While I was waiting I noticed a child in the dining room pushing a chair up to the counter. She then stood up on the counter barefoot and then sat. No one behind the counter said or removed her. I then realized that she belonged to one of the workers. when I saw one of the workers walk past the child and was coming out with a bag, and still said nothing or removed her from the counter and it was my order. I immediately informed them I wanted a refund. The manager came out and asked why. I told her, she really didn't seem to care. I even took a picture of the child sitting here. I went again about 2 weeks later and the child was at the restaurant again. I realized it was the manager again, an the same child. This is the worst place I've ever been to. I have lived here in NC for 3 years now. And for three years there coke icy machine has not worked. They have said it is on "defrost" now how in the world is your coke icy machine going to be on "defrost" for three years. There food is so nasty tasting. I've gotten orders wrong and cold food. Placed our order, food went to the heat shoot to stay warm. She set it on the tray. Didn't have fries up. Left the food sitting on the tray the whole time fries were cooking to get cold. Chicken fingers were so old they crunched. No meat was left, just dry. Icing on the cake, food took a while, no ketchup or Mello yellow. read more

Only 2 Stars because I'm feeling generous due to how apologetic the staff was. Place my order through the drive through and I was asked to pull up, I figured it would only be a few minutes because I ordered onion rings. There was a car in front of me and when the girl came out to give them there food she asked me what I ordered so I told her and she returned inside and just started cleaning the tables. 16 MINUTES LATER I walked inside and politely asked where my food was and everyone was lost and seemed oblivious to my order. Horrible. Degrading. Disrespected. Uncomfortable. I work in law enforcement, and due to time restraints, my partner and I stopped in for a quick bite. Both of our meals were tainted... hairs and dirt were stuffed inside my sandwich, and my partners fries appeared to have the ends bitten off. Tried to report this issue to the manager, but the cashier refused to get her. After 15 minutes of standing up front arguing with the cashier, and having other customers even stand up on my behalf, the cashier yelled in the back for the manager to "come assist this f*cking woman cuz she getting on my d*mn nerves." The manager acted clueless as to what my issues were, even though her employee began screaming at me and cursing me in front of her. The cashier even acted so aggressively it seemed as though she wanted to fight me. Called corporate and reported, asking for a call from the district manager. Still waiting on that call.... We never eat fast food, but my wife loves Burger Kings chicken sandwich so stopped at the restaurant in Shallotte and she ordered the original chicken sandwich with fries today. Started home and the fries were a kids size. She eat half the sandwich and pulled out a piece of plastic wrap with lettuce in it from her mouth. Two hours later she was sick with food poisoning. i see in the past 10 years this place have not change it seem like they got rid of all the manergers except one the manergers never did know how to treat thier employees and a low paying job at that but i notice shallotte is the worst place to get a decient job and be respected there no use to complain to the main office because you cant deal with the big wheels you get the low life distric manerger that think her stuff dont stink and think she is above the rest of us but someone need to investagate undercover and see what going on this place alway been the worst to work for and to eat at when will they make changes read more

I would eat here occasionally over several years, but since the make over the food is old and cold, service is slow. The original workers before the make over we friendly, fast and the food fresh and hot. Why were the employees who worked their for so long and got things right let go. read more

This place doesn't even deserve the one star. It is dirty, nasty food never fresh Orders never done right the grilled chicken salad the chicken taste like its out of a can. The burgers sit in the grease under the heat lamp for hours.. You always have to wait Atleast 10 minute for your non-fresh food they change the oil in the fryer every 5 days... They never change the sanitizer buckets for the rags they while your tables off with ... The place is soooo dirty and u organized id rather eat out of the dumpster in the back.... The staff is extremely rude & the managers are even worse to top it off 2 convicted murderers work there!!!! They work their workers to death 12-13 hours with no break. The floors in there need a street cleaner to clean them they are so dirty there is always Atleast one thing not in stock... They are always out of Diet Coke and when you ask for it they don't tell you their out they just give you the caffeine free kind or Coke Zero the coffee is never fresh and when they run out they will give you decaf.... The bacon and biscuits are cooked at night for the next mornings breakfast... The icy machiene has been in defrost for the last 3 years ...
