Don't judge a book by its cover. This restaurant is on the corner of a little neighborhood shopping…read morearea and the locals know it well. The food was excellent. All seafood, meats, & produce were of high quality and prepared to perfection. I recommend the Grouper Bites as an appetizer. The wait staff (Brandy) was very knowledgeable about the way the food was prepared and she was very accommodating by making certain that our requests were met. The ambience was nothing fancy but still comfortable . You should go dine there and I know you will be glad you did.

Took our beverage orders, returned quickly with those and water. She told us the specials which we passed on. Fred ordered fried oysters platter, I ordered an à la carte crab cake and oysters Rockefeller. Our food arrived quickly. Fried oysters were plentiful and crispy. House made chips were crunchy and delicious. My crab cake was wonderful - as close to a Maryland crab cake as I've had in a long time. Lump crab, very little bread crumbs, pan fried and served with a dollop of hollandaise. It needed some Old Bay seasoning. The Rockefeller Oysters were delicious. Plump oysters topped with spinach and Hollandaise. They need a splash of Pernod and would be 5 star. We split a piece of house made peanut butter pie for dessert. It wasn't good. Way too sweet and very soupy. Tasted like a cool whip recipe. Our tab was reasonable and we left our server a generous tip. We recommended the restaurant to numerous people we knew back at the hotel. I'd definitely return!

I believe the owner sat us at our table and was very friendly. The waitress quickly came over with menus and took our drink order and informed us of the soup of the day. My wife and I love soup so we each ordered a cup of the soup special (chicken tortellini). I asked about the chicken wings and was told that they are excellent so I ordered 12 barbecue chicken wings and my wife ordered the fried chicken sandwich. The soup had excellent flavor but the tortellini's were way over cooked. My chicken wings were excellent as described. They were large and crispy. Some of the best I've had in a while. My wife loved her chicken sandwich and fries. Service was great.

She was pissed off and brought me the drink. I specifically, I asked for light ice, who wants to pay $2.75 for a glass of ice? She became extremely hostile that she had to remake the glass of club soda. she screamed at me that this was her bar! Me, thinking to myself...so what, bring what I asked for simple, right? You do not own the business! I sought out the owner who has always been present during my 3-4 previous visits to share what happened. He explained she has a problems when it gets busy...... and gets agitated. Honestly, the place had a trivia contest but it was not all that busy. I was there the night before for St Paddy's Day dinner, there were no issues. The place was packed. I was seated quickly, ordered and the club soda and the Rueben was served in am amazingly short time. The Rueben grilled and hot! The server was wonderful. I had fried fish there at lunch, great. I had prime rib for dinner. The prime rib was, delicious, cooked to perfection. The 6 oz cut yielded 3 oz of pure fat. I brought the fat home and weighted it. So be careful of the so called specials. My fault, I should have not accepted the cut. Bottom line, food is good as is the service, except for this JJ bartender. As a seasoned business owner, I wonder why he keeps such an unbalanced individual on during the busy times if he knows she cannot handle it in a professional manner? Maybe put her on lunch schedule or out to pasture. There are so many restaurant's and bars to choose from, no one should have to put up with surly waitstaff.

They had a decent selection of beers, and I even got to try a new one. Where they really shine is the crab dishes and burgers. I had the crab stuffed pretzels and it was perfection. Someone else had the hot dip and the little pita chips it came with were great. The two guys got burgers and both raved about how they good they were and how they tasted like true smash burgers. Can't wait to visit again and see what they have on tap next time.

I was expecting more of a tavern or a brewery vibe which it does not have. It's in a strip mall and it feels like it's in a strip mall. It was VERY CLEAN and the bartender was friendly enough but the beer selection did not impress. Even though 20 taps sound like a lot, it didn't feel like it when I was trying to select a beer. And the food...do not go there hungry or at least do not expect a meal. We ordered Garlic Parmesan wings and got 5 for something like $8. They were tasty but looked like they came from a cornish hen. Seriously tiny. And the quesadilla was adequate but simple and unimpressive. Overall, not a bad place to get a drink, I just wouldn't go out of my way again.
