The portion is HUGE and could easily be shared. Service was fast, breakfast was yummy, and it's a good value for the amount of food you get. Would I wait forever or go way out of my way for it? Probably not. But if I'm in the area, craving a good breakfast burrito, and can grab one quickly, I'd absolutely be happy to come back.

Service was fast on both ends. Place is clean as a whistle, even the Johns. Wowzer! I've never heard of a pastrami sandwich dipped before. Fantastic twist on what's normally a Jewish Deli experience in LA, with beautiful sliced meat, maybe add cheese (Swiss of course) and deli mustard. THIS is NOT that type of sandwich. Very thin sliced, maybe more like shaved pastrami. Bread fresh - I assume baked there? Dipped. Wow. That's all I had. Nothing else. Folks were ordering fries and burgers (they looked good). I kept it real first time and did the classic Highly recommend. Top 5, OK. Tough to beat the classic deli style sandwiches (I won't name them you know) but I'd be back here again no issues.

I am extremely disturbed by what I witnessed tonight at The Hat in Pasadena while having dinner…read morewith my family. At approximately 8:00 p.m., I personally saw an employee come out of the bathroom wearing gloves and carrying two bags of trash, which appeared to be from the bathroom. Without changing his gloves, he then picked up two of the towels used to wipe down the tables and proceeded to wipe down almost all of the dining tables. He also wiped down the counter area where customers pick up their food. The employee was wearing a hat and black glasses. I was sitting there watching this happen, and I honestly could not believe what I was seeing. Handling bathroom trash and then immediately cleaning dining tables and a food pickup area with the same gloves is an extremely serious sanitation concern. I am writing this review because management needs to be aware of what happened and address it immediately. Proper glove changing and sanitation procedures are essential in any restaurant, especially when employees are moving between bathroom cleaning and areas where customers eat and pick up their food. After witnessing this, my family and I will not be returning. Someone in management needs to take this seriously and make sure employees are properly trained on sanitation and food safety procedures.

I am also a vegetarian of 13 years funny enough before I become a vegetarian I was able to try their chicken 20 years ago. It was amazing! I still remembered the vibe of the restaurant although it looks like the menu was simplified. The hummus was not homemade and it seems to be from a factory so there's that. Although it was okay. My only suggestion would be to get more ventilation bc upon walking up to restaurants it looked steamy. Like what my daughter's JiuJitsu Gym looks like when there's a class in session. The windows look like they could use a PROFESSIONAL wipe down. With chemicals probably after hours lol idk. I love that this place is still there as a staple to Pasadena, although let's step it up a tiny bit guys

The seasoning was packed with flavor from the very first bite, and every bite after that just kept getting better. The chicken had the perfect crunch on the outside while staying incredibly juicy and tender on the inside. It honestly felt like it was cooked to perfection. What really stood out was how balanced everything was. Sometimes hot chicken places focus only on the spice, but here the flavor comes first. The seasoning complemented the chicken instead of overpowering it, making every bite memorable. You can tell they take pride in what they're serving because the quality shines through. This is definitely a spot I'll be coming back to, and I already know I'll be bringing my guys that hoop with me because they're always asking me where the best chicken sandwich is. There are still a few things on the menu I need to try, but if they're anywhere near as good as this sandwich, I know I'm in for another great meal.
