Really Disappointed with Our Visit I don't usually leave reviews, but our recent experience at Burger King was just too much to ignore. From the start, the wait was way too long. It looked like only a few people were working, and they seemed overwhelmed. We had to wait a while just to get a basic order. When we finally got our food, it wasn't good. My kids said the burgers were mushy, the fries were way too salty, and some of the fountain drinks tasted really watered down--like the machine wasn't working right. But what really pushed it over the edge was what we found in my two-year-old's fruit punch--not just a fingernail, but a piece of hair too. That was absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable. As a parent, that made me both angry and deeply concerned. There's no reason anything like that should ever happen at a restaurant. Overall, the experience was frustrating from beginning to end--slow service, poor food quality, and serious cleanliness issues. I expected better, especially from a place that serves families. My wife and I were hungry , we had gotten busy and hadn't taken anything out for dinner. I ran over to BK in our neighborhood for 2 "Whoppers". I came home and the burger tasted odd. I thought it was just me and took a couple of anti acids. Around 6:30 pm I asked my wife about the burger and she said it is still laying her stomach like a brick.....I tried calling the S. Deland store at 386-736-1102 to speak to the GM, no one picked up the phone. I hate writing a bad review but I doubt if I will return to this BK. The lady who took care of me with my was very nice but from the kitchen there was alot of very load laughter......I didn't give much though at the time. Too many to list. 1) Was told to wait in parking lot with NO ONE in line. 2) Parked out front. Only car in the parking lot. Girl comes out, looks left and right. I used the horn. The drive thru experience was most excellent! Jackye at the window was exceptionally pleasant and outgoing in her service. She mentioned another individual who was working on the food and, although I cannot recall their name, they did a very good job as well to cooked those up fresh for us. Everything we ordered was exactly what we got and tasted good. No complaints there. I don't know what I can say about ambiance in a drive thru, but I felt no pressure while waiting for the food and even had some fun small talk, so that was nice. In the past, maybe a year ago or more now, we had noticed the fries were cooked with old oil (canola most likely from the smell), and even smelled it permeating the air upon approach of the building in our vehicle itself. The fries were terrible and we had to throw them out. This is NOT THE CASE ANYMORE as of the last two or three times we have visited in the last few months and it is MUCH BETTER OVERALL! Waited at the drive through about ten minutes. I was told "we will be right with you." Waited.... Confirmed that they knew I was waiting. Ended up leaving. This was during lunch time. Service was awful! They charge 30 cents for both ketchup and Mayo extra. They refuse a cup of water without charge. I ordered Jr Bacon 2 for $5. Got no bacon. Other reviews properly describe the general issues with the location. However, the employees are generally pleasant (not their fault it is understaffed). That said, I had an extremely unpleasant experience with an employee today who - after I simply asked to be told they would not be serving people inside when they saw a line at the register - that I should "be more careful when talking to the people making my food". I threw away the meal out of caution - this employee seemed unstable enough to have tampered with it prior to handing it to me. I reported the incident to the state. read more

I've driven by this BK hundreds of times and rarely see more than 2 or 3 cars in the parking lot. That's generally a bad sign, so I checked Yelp and saw a low star rating.. also a bad sign, but I took a shot. My order was 2 sausage and cheese croissan'wiches. The drive thru moved pretty quickly the young lady at the window was very pleasant. My food, although not picture pretty, was hot and fresh. I like Burger King, but rarely indulge. Worst BK ever. Workers hanging out in parking lot taken drive thru orders and then come running thru the door and almost knock us down so they can go behind counter to fill order. I've been here three times and that was three times too many. Every single time the food has been cold. Like the cheese on the burgers wasn't even melted, at all. They always get my toppings wrong too. Honestly, how hard is it to just put ketchup on a burger? It takes extra effort to add on more toppings that I specifically stated that I did not want. The third and final time I went here for lunch, and it was just before noon. They told me they weren't serving lunch yet, and that I'd have to wait if I wanted anything from the lunch menu. This place is ridiculous If I could go no stars I would. Ordered here tonight from DoorDash with a simple order whopper meal and a whopper jr. No tomato with sprite. We get our order which our dasher was quick to pick up and deliver. Both our fries are like theyve been in the warmer for hours old tasting and just warm, the burgers have no sauce on them at all and the sprite taste just like carbonated water. We contact DoorDash and they say the will have the order remade correctly with fresh food. Same dasher picks up fast delivers fast. We get what seems to be fries the same age as the ones we got 20 minutes prior and even colder, and 2 new burgers with absolutely no sauce. We asked our dasher by message to get Dr. pepper instead as I doubted they would have changed out the Sprite syrup. The only thing acceptable was the Dr Pepper. This dry ass burgers is ridiculous. Very poor customer service. 4 cars in front of me at drive thru and sat in line for over twenty min. Then when I placed my order for two meals the guy (michael) in drive thru told me 25.00 I said I was only ordering 2 meals for 10., he began to argue with me telling me I ordered two of the meal dels, I told him I did not and cancelled the order. Can't comment on the food or service, walked in to a horrid smell, went to the bathroom to wash my hands and found the sewer/septic system had overflowed everywhere, and they just left it. From a distance, the place looks alright Once you get out of the car, the parking lot smells like the dumpster and the smell follows you inside. Once I walked inside, there was an employee sitting at one of the booths on her phone, facetiming with someone. After about a minute of standing the girl who is sitting in the booth, on her phone yells someones name - I guess it was the employee who was supposed to be behind the counter. The employee comes up and takes our order. After five minutes we get our food. A lukewarm burger and lukewarm fries. The restaurant is empty. We ate our lunch while the employee continued to talk to whoever on facetime - if you want to know the conversation I could probably give you a transcript. So...Never again. read more
