Toasted Italiano hit the spot and salad was a good size however the chicken tasted like it was processed/fake meat. Service was pleasant and quick. This location was clean. This Panera was clean. Service was quick. Staff was friendly. Food came out exactly as ordered. Hot and delicious. Bakery had a nice selection of items which we chose a couple to take with us in the car for snacking. We definitely stop at this location again and recommend it to others. read more

I was very happy to see Panera Bread open in NSB - as with most newly opened businesses that hire locally there is going to be a learning curve which is completely understandable. I came here excited to order a few bagels, we decided to go inside even though we were ordering takeout - the store is beautiful, nice layout and we were greeted by a few extremely friendly members of the staff and already knowing what we want we were ready to place out order. Everything was going great until I asked for a side order of bacon, this seem to be an insurmountable request the young lady at the register froze as she studied the register's screen and finally went to the back to get a supervisor, after being asked again what we wanted I repeated the order - pretty simple in my opinion (1 toasted plain bagel with cream cheese, 2 toasted everything bagels with cream cheese and a side of bacon) the supervisor began to punch in lots of information as the line at the counter grew longer and finally gave me a total. There's a screen above the counter showing the status of the orders in progress which I thought was pretty cool. After another 10 minutes the screened still show my order was being prepared no problem right? I began thinking what if I has placed the same order at the drive through and looked at the window and notice the same customer was waiting at the window when I arrived. Another 10 minutes and I'm still waiting and realized that no orders had been delivered since I walked in and there were only 2 orders in front of me - I counted the employees in the store and stopped counting at 10 although only a few were doing anything and the manager was completely focused on his iPad and completely oblivious of what was going on in his restaurant. Finally my order appeared at the window and it sat for a few more minutes until another employee noticed and mumbled my name which I barely understood- it seems there's still some training needed and some oversight issues which I sure will be worked out. Dining room was filthy, dishes piled high at trash containers. Food was wrong. When I told manager it was hard to a place to sit due the unclean condition she said ok and no one ever came out to clean while we were eating. The customer service was great, but the food was not up to standards. The avocado on my sandwich was hard as a rock. I ended up taking it off, and then there was barely any chicken on the chipotle, chicken avocado sandwich, which I did not understand but yeah, probably would not go to this location again. read more

this Panera bread is the most incompetent restaurant I have ever dealt with. I like the food that I get from Panera bread but every time I order from this specific location, it is never correct. There's either items missing or what I got Is not what I ordered. The sandwich is either rock hard or cold. It's just the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen and they continue to mess it up every single time. I picked up a BLT tonight. The bread was good but the bacon was awful! I got extra bacon and paid over 2.00 for the extra bacon. It was so tough it was hard to eat. It apparently was cooked in the microwave it was just awful. I would not recommend this sandwich or location read more

The NSB Panera is the best!! The food and drinks are great but the workers here make it the reason we always come back!! The drive-thru crew is awesome. The management is awesome. When we go inside we are always greeted nicely by all of the employees. It's always clean inside. read more

There was two cars in the line and I waited for an about twenty minutes. Once I got to the window I waited another 5 minutes, got told my total, had to remind her that a paid for a Dr Pepper, and I come home and there's no spoon or baguette with my soup. I just paid 10 dollars for a little bowl. She should be fired she was slow and had no clue what she was doing. And she had blue hair. And there's more. I found a black hair in the middle of eating. My initial impression of this place being brand new are about the same as many other Panera Breads. But the only thing this place lacks is comfortable seating like many other Panera Breads carry. So if you came for the food opening day like I did they delivered. The only thing I found odd was my Baguette was cold? Usually my bread is warm with my food. The only thing that's also out of the restaurants control was when they built this building the woman's sink has difficulty staying on and the doors have the handle on the inside instead of the outside. People often don't wash their hands in New Smyrna Beach so one of those foot door handles would be perfect for this place. Poor service for overpriced food. Don't get me wrong everything costs $$$ but when a you pick 2 meal is now $16 add a small coffee and tax and now it's $20 for one meal you expect that meal to be great right? WRONG My Apple had a brown soft spot on it and my salad came with no dressing. Plus the coffee was mediocre at best. If you are asking me to pay $20 for a meal it better be amazing. One of the employees made my day. I think her name was Olivia but all I needed was a grilled cheese and tomato soup. Weird how a nice interaction can put a good taste in your mouth. Her customer service has set a new standard for this place and I hope it's her that's greets me everytime I come in. It's been years since I've been to Panera but will definitely be back. Not impressed at all. My sandwich was made wrong. Had to ask three times to get it made correctly. They were out of coffee and half and half. Beverage area was filthy. Coffee urn was dirty. Food is great! Service has always been good! However, it's so drafty and cold I can't sit indoors and feel comfortable. Also, the ambience is very sterile compared to most Paneras we frequent. Although I love to support local, if we want to sit down and eat, we end up driving back up to Port Orange to enjoy a comfortable booth and a warm ambience. Something about New Smyrna's Panera Bread isn't conducive to ordering a warm latte & dessert and enjoying good conversation. I hope next remodel, they consider this. It's Panera, not Chipotle! I placed an online order. when I brought it home, I discovered they made it totally wrong. I called and I asked that they fix it, they wouldn't! It was half an hour before closing and they didn't to remake my meal. They wouldn't refund my payment either, instead they agreed to issue a meal voucher. I had to wait a month for it to arrive in the mail. It eventually did, but the voucher stipulated that I couldn't order online. I had to go stand in line at the store and the amount on the voucher did not cover the cost of the original order that they already took a month before. Patiently I waited in line and when I came to pay with my voucher (my money) they gave me a hard time refusing to acknowledge its validity, they brought their manager who had to make a phone call and wait for a reply before they could process the voucher payment. When my meal came, they still got it wrong. At this point I was fed up with this circus. I just gave them their food back and moved on. I don't think there is much hope for this branch! read more
