I was very happy to see Panera Bread open in NSB - as with most newly opened businesses that hire locally there is going to be a learning curve which is completely understandable. I came here excited to order a few bagels, we decided to go inside even though we were ordering takeout - the store is beautiful, nice layout and we were greeted by a few extremely friendly members of the staff and already knowing what we want we were ready to place out order. Everything was going great until I asked for a side order of bacon, this seem to be an insurmountable request the young lady at the register froze as she studied the register's screen and finally went to the back to get a supervisor, after being asked again what we wanted I repeated the order - pretty simple in my opinion (1 toasted plain bagel with cream cheese, 2 toasted everything bagels with cream cheese and a side of bacon) the supervisor began to punch in lots of information as the line at the counter grew longer and finally gave me a total. There's a screen above the counter showing the status of the orders in progress which I thought was pretty cool. After another 10 minutes the screened still show my order was being prepared no problem right? I began thinking what if I has placed the same order at the drive through and looked at the window and notice the same customer was waiting at the window when I arrived. Another 10 minutes and I'm still waiting and realized that no orders had been delivered since I walked in and there were only 2 orders in front of me - I counted the employees in the store and stopped counting at 10 although only a few were doing anything and the manager was completely focused on his iPad and completely oblivious of what was going on in his restaurant. Finally my order appeared at the window and it sat for a few more minutes until another employee noticed and mumbled my name which I barely understood- it seems there's still some training needed and some oversight issues which I sure will be worked out. The products were good they just took longer than I thought it should, we'll see how it goes during our next visit...

There was two cars in the line and I waited for an about twenty minutes. Once I got to the window I waited another 5 minutes, got told my total, had to remind her that a paid for a Dr Pepper, and I come home and there's no spoon or baguette with my soup. I just paid 10 dollars for a little bowl. She should be fired she was slow and had no clue what she was doing. And she had blue hair. And there's more. I found a black hair in the middle of eating. Disgusting.

Very quick service! Not crowded. Food was amazing as expected. It was chilly inside, but that was good since it was so hot outside!

Dinner plans the other night started the way many great family evenings do--complete confusion and…read moremild hunger-induced panic. We had company over, and the original plan was our classic "let's see what's hiding in the freezer and pretend it was intentional" dinner strategy. Unfortunately, reality set in. My wife was exhausted, and I have to admit something publicly: I'm only a competent cook under two conditions--ample prep time and my beloved Instant Pot. Remove either of those variables and my culinary skills quickly resemble a survival cooking show. I wasn't quite ready to debut my "experimental freezer casserole surprise" for guests. So the family meeting began. Chinese food? Nope--someone just had it. Pizza? Also no--apparently that was last night's adventure. Burgers? Absolutely not. One of the teens dramatically declared, "Not today, Satan." Then, out of nowhere, a teenager casually drops a suggestion that stopped the room: "Barbecue from a place called Crave." Barbecue? Interesting. But... none of us had ever heard of this place. Naturally, the next question was: Where is it? And that's when the real twist arrived. Apparently Crave Hot Dogs & BBQ is inside Walmart Supercenter. Yes. Inside Walmart. At this point I was convinced the teenager had been scrolling too much TikTok. A barbecue restaurant... in Walmart? I had to see this with my own eyes. So off we went. Sure enough, tucked right inside the store was this little barbecue spot that looked like it had no business being that good. The smell alone should have been illegal to pump into a retail environment. You walk in expecting to buy paper towels and leave smelling like you just visited a smokehouse in Texas. And the food? Surprisingly fantastic. The barbecue had that smoky flavor that makes you pause mid-bite and say, "Okay... hold on... this is actually really good." The portions were generous, the menu had plenty of options, and somehow the whole thing managed to feel both fast and freshly made. The real miracle of the evening was that everyone--kids, guests, and the exhausted adults--walked away happy and full. No experimental freezer meals were required, and my reputation as a "competent host" lived to see another day. Final verdict: If someone tells you there's legit barbecue inside Walmart, don't argue--go investigate. You might walk in skeptical, but you'll probably walk out full, impressed, and wondering how you discovered a hidden barbecue joint in the same place you buy laundry detergent.

I'm really happy to finally have a CAVA location here in Daytona. Before this opened, I only had…read morethe chance to try CAVA when I was in certain areas of Orlando, so having one closer to home has been exciting. I love CAVA's menu concept--Mediterranean-inspired bowls, pitas, and wraps built around fresh, flavorful ingredients. Everything feels vibrant and customizable, and I really appreciate that they rotate and introduce new menu items from time to time, which keeps things interesting even if you order often. My current favorite is the build-your-own bowl with the harissa chicken. It's consistently flavorful, perfectly spiced, and pairs well with so many of the toppings and sauces. The food quality itself has been very consistent every visit, which is why I keep coming back. That said, I do think there's room for improvement on the customer experience side, especially for first-time guests. While there are sticker menus posted along the line that explain the items, employees often rush customers through without picking up on cues that someone may be new or unsure. I've found myself directing people in line to the menu signage so they could read descriptions because staff weren't taking the initiative to explain what items were. I also brought two people with me on separate occasions, and both felt rushed. My husband ordered the curated spicy chicken and avocado wrap, but when he sat down, it literally contained just chicken and avocado--nothing else as described on the menu. When he questioned it, the interaction made him feel like he was inconveniencing the staff, which was disappointing. Since this is still a newer location, I'm hopeful these service-related issues will improve over time, especially because the food itself is solid and well-executed. I do want to give a huge shoutout to Christina. I actually asked for her name because she consistently stands out as friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful. She is the first person I've ever seen at this location offer a sample when someone was unsure about an item, and she took the time to explain what things were without rushing. That kind of service makes a big difference and really elevates the experience. Overall, I'm glad CAVA is now in Daytona and will continue to return for the fresh ingredients and bold flavors--especially that harissa chicken. With a bit more focus on customer guidance and consistency in preparation, this location has the potential to be excellent.

The daily special was recommended to me by the guy taking my order. He answered all of my questions without any hesitation and giving me his honest feedback. They have a desert that rotates daily and when I was there it was a chocolate banana pie which was excellent. Then I also ordered a large fries to share with my wife and her friend and that bag was stuffed to the top with fries. They were amazing fries and I saw the peeling and cutting them in house. The ambiance was very much a beach vibe. It was a cute place that you could go to in your swim suits and no one would notice. I would definitely check out Paco subs again next time I'm in NSB

He took the time to talk with us, was incredibly kind, and even gave my kids some free stickers which made their day. That kind of genuine hospitality sticks with you. Great food, great people, and a place that clearly takes pride in what they do. We'll absolutely be back next time we're in town.
