Weekend Special 11/14/25: The Soppressata Pizza
Calvin G.

Dined in at Bistro once before, and it was great. So we thought we'd give the pizza kitchen a try for takeout and it did not disappoint. This mildly spicy Italian meat lovers pizza (The Soppressata Pizza) should be a mainstay on the menu. Lucky enough to catch it on the Weekend Specials Menu. We were helped right when we walked in and two other employees at the take out counter made sure we were taken care of even on a busy Friday night. Thanks!

Tucked in Venetian bay, bistro 424 is kind of hard to find but well worth it for the trip Full bar so started off with my ketel 1 dirty martini and candyce had her chardonnay. Done pretty good. When the rest of the group showed up appetizer was bruschetta which was really good. Bread had the crusty style crust but center was soft and chewy. Complimentary rolls were brought out and they were fantastic Main course for me was mahi stuffed with crabcakes with side veggies. Kitchen had mine with green beans but the waiter remembered I wanted spring veggies and brought those out. Waiter did a great job with everyone. The mahi filet was thick and done great. Candyce had the chicken piccata and she really enjoyed it. All around good service, good food and reasonable prices. Great place just out of the way. One of those hidden gems

The food-especially the sandwiches- are to die for! Absolutely amazing and always so fresh, definitely a must try despite it being so tucked away and hidden. Service was great and Conner (our waiter) was awesome. Ambiance is fine, nice enough inside but nothing too fancy, perfect for shirts and shorts kinda vibe. Hidden little gem.

Ahi tuna nachos

We went mountain biking at nearby Spruce Creek, aka Doris Leeper Spruce Creek Preserve close to New Smyrna Beach (also recommended if you like Mountain Biking, or Hiking. Afterwards we were starving and found Bistro 424 on our way back to Orlando. What a great find. The menu is quite extensive. Full bar if you want some cocktails. I had the ahi tuna nachos (yummy) and she had an ahi tuna wrap. Nice outdoor seating too. Looking forward to it again

We went to The Grille on a recommendation from a friend. It turned out to be everything she said it…read morewas. The restaurant was a surprise since it was on a golf course and in a residential area. The decor wasn't fancy, but pleasing and simple. When we walked in, it was happy hour, so the bar was very noisy. We went to the dining room where it was quite pleasant and wasn't affected by the bar noise. Our server, Amanda, was very attentive to our needs, and answered all of our questions. When our food arrived, we felt that we were transported to Italy. The portions were large and delicious. My creamy pesto bowl was filled with pasta and was accompanied by a large ball of homemade mozzarella. It was truly scrumptious. I wanted to finish it, but my stomach was already full and I had to bag it for takeout. This is definitely a hidden gem of a restaurant.

We have become regular customers for family gatherings and quick dinners, appreciating the quality…read moreof the food, service, etc. However, last night the pot roast was a complete disappointment. First off, the portion was embarrassingly small, four bites of carrots, mashed potatoes... A rip off at $29. Granted, the bread is wonderful... our experience till last night has kept us coming back on a regular basis. However, the pot roast was a complete disappointment.
