Wow, onion rings with the Zesty sauce is pretty good!. Service was a little slower than expected and the sweet tea is old, starting to sour. This is an older burger King as the kids play area was closed during covid and looks to be still closed. When I started my order online I was getting pricing and location from a different state. Expected food at a BK. Fries have been changed, I think, since the last time I went to one of these chain locations. Tried a new burger to me that they have with bacon and cheese. Bacon tasted on the old side but could ahve just been flavoring. Soda was out of carbonation but didn't catch it till I'd taken off from the drive thru. Entrance/exit on either one way street that is on either side of the store. Good place to turn around too if necessary. read more

Was passing through and needed to feed the kids and let them blow of some steam but of course the play place was closed. I'm thankful though because the entire store was dirty and had a funny smell. Had to get the code to the bathroom to have my daughter use it and change my son's diaper. My daughter didn't even want to sit on the toilet was so disgusting. There was no changing table in the men's room, a needle-drop box, but no changing table. The girl working the counter wasn't aware of the menu options when I asked for ice cream instead of a toy. Tried to pay cash, she said could break my bill then seemed to have issues with the machine and so I just used card. Won't even add the ridiculous wait time for 2 meals. Disappointed! Very small version of the BK menu. Out of biscuits, so tried their Maple waffle sandwich. The waffle was fried and greasy and the maple flavor was Odd with No sweetness! The redeeming elemental was the Eggnormous burrito- Really Yummy with a touch of heat. read more

Their "smart" soda machine that has various kinds of drinks in various kinds of flavors was out of nearly every kind of pop that they normally have available. So this was a new one for me. I rarely eat at the big chain fast food joints, and it's even rarer that I'd think seriously enough about it that I would consider reviewing it, but I was running a bit short on time on my trip and this was so weird that I can't resist. I ordered a double whopper combo. The burger and fries were fine, but the drink? They have one of those new soda fountains that can mix and match all sorts of weird flavors (Orange Coke? Grape Sprite? Strawberry Lemonade?)...only one problem, the fountain was out of literally every non-diet soda. I don't often drink soda anymore, but I find diet soda to taste disgusting. Does everyone else think so too, and they've just used it up all? Or is one of the workers a zealous health nazi (who makes an exception for burgers and fries)? I don't know how this place makes money, as their location is VERY INCONVENIENT no matter which of the one way streets (east or west) you are approaching from. Don't even try this in an RV! You have to "weasle" to get into their location. (I was in a small car.) I went through the drive thru. My goodness, this particular store manager must have graduated summa cum laude with a degree in marketing, as all of the trained robots (excuse me, I mean "young employees who work there") were very well trained in the art of "don't answer a question directly, keep them guessing so we can extract extra money from them and hope they don't notice." The "script" while you order is filled with "traps" in order to extract such extra money from you. I peruse the menu. I decide to order the fish sandwich "combo" (which means you get the fish sandwich, fries, and a drink, which for me, was unsweetened ice tea). Immediately, the trained robot (excuse me, I mean the "fine young employee who was at the window") asked me if I wanted a small, medium or large drink. That, my friends, is TRAP #1! Come on, the "combo" always has a pre-specified drink size. If you order a drink size different than what the combo includes, it will affect your "combo" price. Believe me, you don't really get a "choice" as to drink size on the combo and expect to pay the same price. So, I asked the robot (oh, excuse me, "Fine young employee who worked at the window") which "size" was included in the combo (meaning: Small, Medium, or Large). The reply, "the 16 oz size. Ok, that was TRAP #2; where the trained robot (oh excuse me, I mean the "fine young employee who was working at the window at the time") used the technique of "don't directly answer the question, keep them confused." So, I ask the robot (oh, excuse me, "fine young employee who was working at the window at the time") "is the 16 oz the small, medium, or large?" Oh dear! That did not compute! The robot (yeah, yeah, you know the rest) did not even try to answer the question, either directly or indirectly. This tells me one of the following: A. I messed up the "Script" and the fine young employee who was at the window at the time couldn't respond B. The fine young employee who was at the window at the time was scared to death of taking the time to simply ask someone whether a 16 oz was a small, medium, or large because they were afraid of getting in trouble for asking this question because they were on a "time clock" to get the customer out as fast as possible C. The fine young employee who was at the window at the time was just nervous because they were a "newbie." I'm hoping it was the last one. Anyway, I got my fish sandwich, but the fine young employee who was at the window at the time didn't ask me if I wanted ketchup for my fries. So, I had to knock on the window. While I had the fine young employee's attention, I mentioned that the "combo" includes a pre-specified drink size, so why are they asking us what size we want? The answer? "Because we are required to ask." Ok, let me try my question again. WHY ARE YOU REQUIRED To ASK THIS QUESTION WHEN THE COMBO INCLUDES A PRE-SPECIFIED SIZE AND GETTING A DIFFERENT SIZE WOULD MAKE THE PRICE DIFFERENT? Again, the answer, "because we are required to ask." ARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!!! Ok, I get my sandwich, and found it to be quite dry. I THINK..... there was a small "Spit" of tartar sauce on the sandwich, hard to tell. Anyway, between Burger King and perhaps the fast food place with "arches" that also serves fish sandwiches, I'm not a big fan of the "arches" but I'm going to say that the "arches" serves a much better fish sandwich than can be gotten at Burger King, although the fish sandwich at Burger King was much bigger than the one served at the "arches." Win some, lose some. UPDATE: My above comments about "Robots" who vaguely answer questions hoping to confuse you enough to extract more money from you has been confirmed! I was driving to the ocean on Sunday. Went thru the drive thru for a sausage and egg crossant combo meal. The hash brown tater tots were probably the worst I have ever eaten in my life. They were horribly over cooked, and tasted like the top of the salt shaker must have come off when they salted them. We order go get ice for our drinks and no ice, asked at the counter for ice. As we watch because it took 25 minutes to get our food I told 8 customers that there was no ice and to get it from the counter, mind you the person taking orders didn't offer ice in anyone's cup and knew there was no ice. Burger was good then I watch the (I imagine) the manager scoop all the fries from the edge of the fry bin back into the bin. Ewww!! To top the visit off a young lady is on her lunch and my husband who likes to chat was trying to make small talk (I was out the door by now). We tried the new tacos after seeing a commercial on tv. They looked good. What we got was unbelievably awful. We ordered 8 tacos. Not one of them had cheese. Not any cheese. I discovered that after arriving at home. And for this new promotion, the were out of salsa packets. They were dry and we couldn't eat them. Buyer beware. Customer service in drive thru was good. We generally hit the drive thru, but yesterday we went inside. The place was clean and the person that waited on us was friendly and prompt.
