Burgers are 1/6lb, small, so at least get a double. You want the classic onion rings, beer batter are oily. Famous fries are fine but nothing to write home about. Expect about 60 bucks for a family of 4. Lots of seating, inside and out. Lots of options for dressing your burger. Salad bar is a nice option. Nice people. Lots of beer and drinks options. Shakes look good. But nothing exceptional. read more

My food was delicious. I enjoyed my 1/4 lbs burger and fries with a Dr pepper. The toppings I turned into a salad with 4 lettuce leaves, some purple onion, tomatoes slices, sliced Pepper, peperoncini, sliced pickles, slices of jalapeños. The service was great. Ask for well done burgers and got them bloody this wasn't the first time this has happened it happened to us last year when we asked for well done burgers then the cashier copped an attitude with us and didn't do a thing about it this time we politely went and told them about it showed them the product they told us they would remake it and they brought it to a second time even bloodier and Pinker than the first said they would refund our money within two to three days because we used a bank card and it's been a week and still haven't heard from them nor will they return our call highly do not recommend this crappy place. I have been going to Burger Hut for nearly 30 years, and, until recently, it was great. Sadly, I would recommend almost any place in Chico as a better choice for burgers now. Nearby In-n-Out - at WAY less than half the price! - would be a good substitute. We were really hungry after swimming this week, so we ordered a medium size order of fries. The fries portion has always been legendary at Burger Hut! When the fries were delivered to our table, the order consisted of a less than half-full basket of fries that were not even hot. And the price, $7.89. EIGHT bucks for a meager order of warmish fries?! That's absurd. I asked for my burger to be "lettuce wrap" style, without a bun. The lettuce was so incredibly wilted and meager. I mean, it's almost as if the employees purposefully did this as a joke. Take a look at the picture! We asked for one burger to be cooked well done. Guess what? It arrived sorta medium, pinkish. We also noted that the floors were pretty dirty - lots of little bits of trash, food, etc. throughout the place. The condiment bar - formerly pristine with fresh, cold produce - was a mess, too. Lastly, there were no hours posted, but they were open at 6:15pm when we arrived. We got our food in about 10 minutes and prepped our burgers from the condiment bar by maybe 6:30 or 6:35. I went back for a little more onions at 6:40, and the condiment bar was completed emptied, cleaned up, closed. I asked what time they closed - again, no hours posted anywhere now - and they told me 7:00. So you close the condiments down 20 minutes before the actual closing hours? The last straw? 3 burgers + 3 sodas + 1 "medium" order of fries? Nearly SIXTY dollars! read more

The space inside is always clean, I really like the fries too but the burgers are pretty small, and like a lot of others are saying, the prices are just absolutely outrageous. It's the same price for a sit down restaurant burger downtown as it is here and you have to order at the counter, build your burger and buss your own table. It's a bummer because I would like to take my family here more often to support the business, but we never come anymore because the price is just not fair for what you get. I'm happy to spend extra if the quality of food, portion size and atmosphere is above a fast food vibe but this is just isn't it. This place was disgustingly gross!!!! 42.00 for a double and a quarter burger. There was one little speck of guacamole. The hamburgers were so thin they look like they were cremated will never go back here again. Could have went to in and out! I just ordered take-out through Grubhub (orders@eat.grubhub.com) from Burger Hut. I was pretty happy with my order. The double hamburger was tasty and they did something I wish all sandwich ordered would do. They put the pickles, onion, tomato, and lettuce in a separate container, along with packages of mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard. I really hate when an order comes to me and by the time it gets to me, the lettuce is limp and not at all crisp. However, I do wish they had a place to eliminate the BBQ sauce on the bun. I'm not fond of BBQ unless it is well- cooked on ribs, etc. I also ordered a bowl of chili. This was very good and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Now to my use of Grubhub.... I was very happy with this service. I placed the order, and it came within the time frame they gave me. I live about 15 minutes out of town so was impressed about the delivery. Ordered food from here for the first time is years and am super disappointed, we got chili cheese fries, kids nuggets, with Pepsi a triple double burger, fries and a soda. The chili cheese fries were extremely soggy because they sat there in a closed container for an extra 15 minutes, they forgot to drop the regular fries, which had no seasoning on them. They literally tasted like mildly crunchy nothing... The burger that was supposed have bbq sauce, I even asked to make sure and they said it did... had no bbq and the onion tangles were also soggy, My daughter was happy with the Dino nuggets. I was also only given one drink when I ordered 2, and yes I asked and she said it showed only one, so when I got out to my car to check my online order it did in fact say 2 drinks as you can see in the picture of the receipt. Nothing like paying almost $50 for food that we did not even finish... i did not go back in for the second drink because I had a screaming kid in the car and a long drive home. I've ordered a couple of times, and worst case scenario with them is getting this delivery is you need to figure out exactly the perfect burger for you on their menu because there are multiple choices! Delivered super quick and hot and unlike others "made per order at time!" Fry's are almost to crips and good. I ordered a single Burger with fries and they couldn't even get that right? I ordered bacon and paid extra and you could not even see the bacon on the Burger nor could you taste it! It was literally invisible! I also ordered whiskey sauce and my Burger had no sauce on it whatsoever! It was dry! Not only was the girl taking my order not knowledgeable, but she seemed annoyed at my questions. I ordered a kids burger meal, and a 1/3 lb burger specifically cooked medium. After getting the food and preparing our burgers I find that mine is definitely NOT medium, it's rare, super rare. Pink to the edges. And my kid's burger was on the rarer side also, I'd call it med-rare with quite a bit of pink in the middle. When I went to the counter to make a comment to the young staff, they told me the machine that usually cooks the burgers wasn't working and they had to cook them all themselves that day. They obviously don't know how to do that. I suggested some tips on how to temp a burger and as I did manager opened a window from the back and said "make sure you guys temp all those burgers.
