All the ingredients were fresh and the quality of the burger was on top compared to other fat good burgers. I love the fries here because they are the skinny fries which ensures that are crispy.. tried the Scorching hot this time and to honest was not too impressed.. it was an oily sauce that didn't have much flavor and was between mild and medium on the heat scale.. The best spicy fries that Smashburger had was the ones they had in Houston texas a few years ago.. the fries were coated with a dry salty seasoning which really made the fries pop out, when compared to the oily ones they have now.... Back to my burger match.. Smashburger clearly wins when it comes to the burger itself.... Compared to the plain dry burger I had at Freddy's. It's in the same group of buildings such as Michael's (around the corner). My visit here was on October 27, 2025. The outside view of the business is simple, but effective. They have a specials chalkboard next to the entrance. Parking wasn't an issue on this visit, but I'm sure it can fill up at busier times. My mom and I were both in the area as she wanted to go to the Michael's store here. When we came inside, it wasn't busy, as it was around 3:30 pm when we got here. We were greeted by the one who would be our server for this visit. He gave us menus to look at and asked us for our drink orders. I generally stick with water with lemon, which I did here. We were there during the time where it was still the lunch menu (though for us, it was more like dinner for us that day). When he came back with the drinks, he asked if we were ready to order, but we weren't just yet. He also asked if we had any questions about the menu and options and gave us more time to mull over the menu. When he came back, we weren't completely ready, but asked a question about the specials of the day. After that, we knew what we would get and placed our food order. My mom ordered the Meatloaf Lunch Special with mashed potatoes and spinach. I went with the Meatball Sub Lunch Special with mashed potatoes, though I don't normally do potatoes that often. After about ten minutes or so, the food came to the table. The food looked really good, and it was hot too. The bread for the Meatball Sub was very soft and easy to eat. The meatballs were huge and made for a worthy meal. The mashed potatoes with gravy was really good and fulfilling too. My mom loved the meatloaf, and their meatloaf doesn't have ketchup on it like some other places do. She loved the meatloaf, spinach, and mashed potatoes too. After we were done, he asked if we wanted any desserts. We both declined as I normally don't do them anymore. Overall, we both had an excellent experience here. The food and service were on point. The food I had that day did spike my blood sugars, but I expected that with bread and mashed potatoes. I don't make a habit of that though. They are a great local business. There are lots of food options to choose from. If you are looking for a place to eat while in this part of Chesapeake, this place is worth coming to.

Just ordered from this place.. got a classic no combo, a western combo and a bacon double combo. The fries were fresh but bland (unsalted) the burgers looked nice and thick though slightly small im diameter, veggies were fresh but the onions still had tough skin on them and were very hard to bite through. The bacon was clearly old cause it was dark im color and stiff. My biggest complaint is the double bacon burgers bun was pulled off the burger and crushed into the wrapper with most of the sauce going with it so it was a soggy mess.. I understand inflation but not worth $40 Highly likely won't return as it wasn't a great first experience read more

Burger Haven is a spot tucked away in Chesapeake. I went in thinking it might be the East Coast version of In-N-Out... and it's definitely not that lol Now, let's talk food. The burgers were juicy, hot, and full of flavor. The bacon, especially, was on point. The fries were hot, crunchy. The milkshakes, though... listen, they taste amazing but they are Rich. If your stomach isn't built for a lot of milk, be warned. Overall, Burger Haven has good food and great vibes, but it's probably not going to be one of my regular go-tos. Still worth trying at least once if you're in the area and craving a solid burger. read more

Burger Haven is the real deal! For just $12, I got a burger, fries, and a drink, and let me tell you, you get a hell of a lot more than what you pay for here. The food was cooked to order, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. The burger was juicy, the fries were perfectly crispy, and the portion size was generous. Compared to places like Wendy's, this is a way better value. If you want great food and more bang for your buck, Burger Haven is the spot! read more

But after 50 minutes had passed, I finally had to go up and ask about my order. When I finally got my food, it was clear things were not handled well. The fries were made immediately and left sitting in a closed Styrofoam container the entire time my sub was cooking. By the time I received them, they were a soggy, wet pile of fries with zero crisp left. As for the sub itself, it was about 90% bread and maybe 10% actual filling. It took three hard, crusty bites before I even reached any meat--and when I did, the flavor was disappointing and lackluster. Definitely not what I expected from a place known for subs. Their "Italian dressing" is really just a ton of oil with a tiny splash of vinegar. They should just call it what it is instead of something misleading. To top it off, I had to ask someone to wipe the table before sitting because it wasn't cleaned. Overall, this visit was a miss from start to finish. Long wait, soggy fries, a flavorless sub, and unclear menu descriptions. I really hope they improve consistency and quality, because my experience did not match the reputation they seem to have

(And…read morean occasional Friday) It was one of those places that felt like a pleasant stroll through a simpler time. An old-school diner type-vibe and I liked it. Prices were reasonable, food was good, and staff were mostly nice. Felt like I fit in as a regular right away. I liked the old box TV's in the corner and the sound of the grill. I'm not even one for hotdogs, not a fan to be honest. However, I decided to try the namesake and was surprised by how good it was. I was even convinced to get another one on my first visit. I tried multiple things each week, and was pleased with all of it. Then one day, I was surprised in another way. They had hidden a loose body part under my burger. It was so disappointing. I walked out and once I was behind the building, I gave it the old "Ehh!" gesture by brushing my hand in the direction of the place. That signaled the end of my quarter-year patronage. A few months later, I was at a different eating establishment on the other side of town. And one of the employees from Lulu's walked in and said: "So you're not getting hotdogs tonight, huh?" I was dumbfounded. I couldn't believe it. First off, they were closed at the time, and secondly, I don't appreciate scraggly surprises in my food. (Now to be fair, the place I was in that night ALSO gave me a fuzzy memory to last a lifetime, but that's beside the point.) So if you decide to go here, make it a regular haunt, then suddenly stop going for three months, they'll stalk you and mock your new culinary preferences. Or maybe it was just me they did that to. Regardless, I haven't been back and it's been over ten years. Needless to say, I'm not going to be pressing my tuxedo or sewing any buttons on my vest anytime soon, as I'm not worried about looking my best, because I don't care that Lulu's back in town.
