Burger Boy Restaurant In Etobicoke, a few minutes drive to Burger Boy Restaurant where time slows down amidst nicety with regulars and strangers alike. The cooks are courteous and friendly. After picking up my wife from work we ended up there for her favourite dish. Customers sipping their beers, keeping in touch texting on their cell phone all the while observing those who enter through the doors. There's a humdrum of quiet chatter with sizzling of fries in the background. The aroma of greasy burgers and fries in the air brings some sort of comfort to a fine ending on a cold day. read more

They literally don't know how to cook an egg correctly, I've never been to a place that is so consistently good at messing up eggs. Ask for over easy, they come runny. Ask for over medium, they come over cooked and burned on bottom. read more

I've been a customer of Burger Boy for over 10 years. In that time the greek owners have been professional in terms of handling the food according to health code, appropriately friendly conversations and always high quality prepared meals. The prices are more than reasonable for a filling delicious meal. However just recently, 2016 - 2017, the new owners have diminished the professionalism I've come to expect and enjoy. The Hamburger combo is a reflection of the food prepared. The hamburger meat lost its signature taste, now I mostly taste grease and rushed seasoning. When handling the food: hair nets aren't worn, the same unwashed tongs are being used when preparing different meats, the same meat soaked grease is used if a customer requests a veggie burger and gloves aren't worn when preparing food. I understand Burger Boy is a neighbourhood bar and restaurant - non corporate which attracted me to place years ago, but as a customers I should expect a level of professionalism at all times. The new owners are too casual with the customers. I often hear them cursing and making vulgar jokes. The female in charge has no tact. She is usually pushy to make a sale or rushing to get the job done, just as though a McDonalds employee would treat you if they hated their job. Overall, I feel disappointment when I think of Burger Boy. They've lost my loyalty. read more

This place will meet expectations and deliver value, if your expectations are tempered. This is not artisinal hamburgers. It's country style dirty burgers with may and burger juice dripping down your hand. Utilitarian setup which meets the owners' needs. A nice throwback in time to the mid eighties. Best giant lunch I've had for under $10 in a long time. read more

Usually reviews are a good sign but honestly it's not the first time where the reviews have been misleading. but this place take the cake. Burger boy has that homestyle, comfort food feel to it. Honesly it wasnt that great of burger. Meat was bland, no seasoning, no juicy, no nothing, even topping were non exisient. Only good thing they had going for them was price. Thou I question their food preparation method, I didn't see anyone wash their hands or use gloves If I want cheap, decent burger. I'll go else where, it's wasnt worth the trip or time. read more

- First time there and never will be returning. - What a bad experience. Never had a bad experience at any eatery like i did at burger boy. Disgusting, disgrace and total disrespect here. - Wanted to charge me $5.00 for using the washroom. - I was a paying customer at the start. Than charged me a $1.00 for taking a pee and using their facility. Ridiculous if u ask me. Should be ashamed of themselves. - Accused me of taking my time in the restroom. It took 1.5 mins but taking to long? - Customer service is crap - Worst customer service ever - Burger boy did not even try to correct the situation(employees argued with the customer and wanted to kick me out of the store before giving my money back) - Refused to give my money back cause they cooked the food and said they did not want to waste it. the food belonged in the garbage and not served to the paying customer. - Argued with the customer over giving the money back - Than would only give me half of what i payed for the meal until i argued and got what i was suppose to have paid for the meal - Fish was not too portion size for what u pay for - Fries were ice cold, fries were like rubber, gravy was cold, cheese was green(they want to microwave my meal so it could taste more like eating shoe leather.) - This is the worst burger joint ever. Local dives can be the best way to enjoy a meal and a cold one. When you walk into burger boy their is now corporate formality to how they greet you, but just and honest hello. These are neighborhood folks and they treat you as such. The menu ranges how you would expect: slouvaki, burgers, steak, etc. pretty much whatever they can throw on a grill. Fries are always really great here. Over the years they unfortunately got rid of the back room pool table in favor of more seating and added a big flat screen to the room. I really enjoyed my steak on a bun and my friend enjoyed her veggie burger. read more

I just bought my food from here and I've had a horrible customer experience . The man who made my burger was very rude and disrespectful and disgusting and was mad because I politely asked for a box for my fries just in case I don't finish it. He got so rude and my friend had to complete my order because I was so upset. He then tried to pretend like he was a good person . SHITTY EXPERIENCE AND IM NEVER COMING BACK. I've never had a bad meal here. I usually get the 8oz bacon cheeseburger and fries. It's delicious and it's an incredible value!
